Our baby has a slower progress and it took almost 10 nights to get sleep trained. I read all these reviews that after 2 nights their baby sleeps through the night. Tawnya Guimond was my doula and couldn't have been more helpful and compassionate. She is sweet and caring and takes her role very seriously. My first child was also born naturally at Saddleback with a different doula. That experience was unique in the sense that my baby was 2 weeks late, I took castor oil to avoid a medical induction and within hours my water broke, I was rushed to the hospital, 10cm dilated upon arrival, pushed for 3 hours and she was born. So I REALLY didn't know what to expect the second time around and was pretty nervous. Tawnya was very reassuring and available for all of my questions along the way. She brings her own props, snacks, water bottles, etc. The birth of my second was a lot more 'text book.' Contractions started mid-morning and progressively became less tolerable...until around 11pm when I called Tawnya. She arrived within 20min. and told my husband that we should go to the hospital immediately and she would wait for my mother in-law that was on her way to stay the night with our daughter. Tawnya gave me a strap to wrap around my hips for the contractions on the way to the hospital - and I HIGHLY recommend it! I don't know how I would have made the trip without it. She met us at the hospital while we were still checking in at the lobby. I was 6cm dilated when they examined me and sent me into L&D. Contractions came hard and fast from then on. My doctor is Dr. James from Laguna Beach, but he recently hired a Midwife (Alison) who delivered the baby 2 1/2 hours later, vaginally and without medication. Tawnya helped a lot during labor, holding my hips and legs, while providing words of encouragment. She is amazing! I also took a "Natural Childbirth Refresher Class" at OC Doula Collective (Doulas of Orange County) that was awesome! It was almost like a therapy session to discuss my previous birthing experience and prepare for the second. Like coming up with a plan that if the nurses try to shout in my face again while they count to ten, Tawnya will shut them down... :-)

I am very picky about where I enroll my daughter and chose this daycare, definitely recommend it! Haleh treats all the kids like her own and feeds them best quality home made food. The meals and snacks are very nutritious and I feel really good knowing she is eating well outside of home. My daughter is always happy and full of energy when she leaves the daycare. Haleh cares a lot about all the kids in her daycare and gives them special attention. She sends pictures and updates about your baby through the daycare app. You will know how much your baby ate, how long he/she slept, etc. One thing I particularly appreciate about this daycare is its sick policy. Haleh won't accept any sick baby in her daycare. This is really important because one sick baby can infect many others and their families. So, we really appreciate her for paying Extra attention to this issue. Kids do a lot of activities in this daycare which help them with cognitive development. Coloring, learning about shapes, and other crafts. Haleh also has a great outdoor setting where kids can play outside and they love it. Someone comes to your house at night? They just stay up with your baby? You just trust them and.....SLEEP?! They quietly drop your baby back into the bassinet? Is this ok for me to do?! Is this the craziest spend I have ever done? I hope this review pushes people on the fence or slightly against WAYYYYYY over to the other side. My wife and I used Danielle and Sleep Shop Nights for our second son who was four weeks old at the time. We opted for three weeks/three nights a week and coaching. Danielle was responsive. helpful, professional, and had a huge depth of tips that we still use. Sydney is an angel. There is no better way to put it. She was sent from the heavens and put on this earth and is one of the best humans I have ever met in my life. My wife and I were REALLY struggling with sleep this second time around. Especially my wife, who was waking up to feed and/or pump WAY more than I was (I helped and did as many feedings as I could). Unlike our freakish first son who was pretty much sleeping through the night right away, our second son was fussy, gassy, wide awake, and confused between night and day. OF COURSE HE IS! HE IS FOUR WEEKS OLD! I KNOW! But Sleep Shop Nights isn't there to replace you, it is there to give you a much needed break (like the nurses who will help you in the hospital). Think of it as an extension of that. Sydney came to save the day 12 glorious nights (we added an extra week we loved it so much). She got to our house at 10PM and quietly laid our baby down in our room at 6AM and tip toed out. She washed and disinfected bottles. She changed his diaper. She soothed him. Danielle seems really sweet, but I truly wish we just got more out of our experience with her. Similar to what another posting had mentioned... I had really high hopes and was super excited to work with Danielle after the initial consultation. I had only booked 2 weeks of coaching which was $400. The services guide that was given to me says 24/7 support via phone, text, or email. I understand not responding to 4 AM texts but there were days that went by where I wouldn't hear a peep from Danielle. She pretty much ghosted us after week one. About 2 weeks after the initial two week contract, I received a phone call from Danielle apologizing, which I appreciated; however, I would've preferred upfront communication instead of feeling like I got scammed out of $400. She did offer to get my daughter in a good place for sleeping to make up for the fact that she was not really reachable during the two week contract but here we are again... a month and a half later and I haven't heard anything from her. No follow up or "how's your daughter doing with her sleep?" I've almost given up at this point because I still have a daughter who struggles with bedtime and still wakes at night, despite our best efforts and I'm out $400. Maybe she would be better when she's in person but I feel like the coaching package was a waste of money.

Shelly was my second lactation consultant - we went to her for a second opinion. I was about a…read moremonth postpartum and my milk hadn't really come in, so we been supplementing with formula while I did everything I could to keep what milk production I had and to get more. When I saw Shelly she showed me how to hand express and we were surprised how much milk I could get! 4 weeks later my baby was off formula. Not sure how much was Shelly, how much was technique or how much was timing, but I'm so thankful to Shelly for her help. Shelly is awesome! She has great educational materials and advice. And hand expression saved me! For those struggling with breastfeeding, don't give up and give Shelly a chance to help.

I could not have been more wrong. I was completely blown away by how much I learned, used, and genuinely needed. Each week brought in a different expert, and the range of knowledge was incredible. Everything from marriage and relationship tips to improve the flow of your household, to managing toddler behavior, baby and toddler sleep, even a professional that helped me identify diastasis recti. There was something valuable in every single session, no matter how many kids you already have at home. And then there's the community you build. Having a weekly group of intelligent, supportive women to lean on during one of the most overwhelming seasons of life was invaluable. Since then, we have continued to turn to her for help with our children's sleep, and she has always been incredibly knowledgeable, patient, supportive, and reassuring. Most recently, she helped us with our son's sleep, as well as navigating our twins' transition from their cribs to toddler beds. These transitions can feel overwhelming, but having Emily's guidance and a clear plan made such a huge difference. She has helped us through so many different sleep stages with all three of our kids, and we have always felt supported along the way.
