I was doing a load of laundry the other night and my septic pump alarm went off. My husband had just been saying he thought we were due for a septic cleaning. I left a message with their answering service as the alarm was going off at about 7:30 pm. They called first thing in the morning to say they'd be over between 9:00-10:00. They were pulling into the driveway at 9:20 and pumped my septic & discover the alarm was going off because some lines had gotten in the way of the pump float. As soon as they pushed the lines away, the pump started working. They tied off the lines so this wouldn't happen again and we're happy to tell me I didn't need a plumber and everything was just fine! No additional cost but the septic cleaning. What a relief and what great service. Highly recommend them.

The appointment was made for "between 3-4 PM". Scott arrive at about 4:10. Not a big deal but it led to a very hurried appointment which was fine as I had another shortly afterward. Scott looked at the tub and quickly (30 seconds) determined that the faucet couldn't be replaced without tearing into the base to get at the plumbing. Fine. He doesn't sell small filters so that for the kitchen sink so that was nixed. He spent maybe a minute or two looking at the filter system, determined that the filer was fine and told me what size to replace it with when the time comes. We discussed the cost of a well pump replacement for maybe another two minutes. He was here at our home for MAYBE 10 minutes and other than taking quick looks at the three items mentioned, no work was performed and no parts asked for or delivered. Our bill? $100. We found that to be an outrageous amount considering the above and time involved. I answered Scott's email bill expressing that I would pay promptly but that I thought the cost was way out of line for the "service" provided. After quickly assessing the damage, he presented me with two options: rebuild and reseal the current trap or outright replace it. Since the former was the cheaper option and had a pretty good chance of ameliorating the leak, I opted for the rebuild and reseal. Total price for the job: $140. All things considered, this business is very affordable and prompt. Their response time is ultimately what led me to elect them for my plumbing repairs. Best of all, they send updates via text to confirm your appointment date and how far out they are before arrival. I also appreciate the fact they're a NH based business. See? Getting water running again was our priority but he suggested starting on the leaks. Not long after beginning, Bub's father told me they couldn't attach their fitting to the well line because water was coming through; realizing my well line is gravity-fed after beginning. I had to pull the well line above the water level myself before they could install a shut-off valve. My well cover is about 300lbs and the line is 8ft down. I'm not sure what their plan would've been if I was not there. After saying the water was flowing again, they later told me my pump was done for and not to run it. They quoted $925 for a new pump, not including labor. With two hours of labor, the bill also came to $925 and my family was no closer to having running water. The materials installed were six feet of copper pipe, several compression fittings, a shut off valve, and a pipe hanger. I called another plumber afterward, who knew right away (just from a phone call) that my pump was fine. He had it running smoothly in minutes by clearing a port of sediment and then adjusting the pressure switch. Bub talked a lot about his experience and showed up with help but needed me to find a way to stop the water in order to address the first leak and then either missed or ignored the step that would've gotten my pump working. Their website claims they're transparent and budget-friendly, but I wasn't told his extreme rate upfront, the bill wasn't itemized (still waiting 9 days after he confirmed he would), and I nearly paid for an unnecessary pump replacement. Leaving 2 stars because the copper work itself was solid, but charging $250 per hour for six feet of easily accessible pipe work feels unreasonable. Being given the wrong diagnosis on the pump was unacceptable and raises concerns about their expertise or honesty.

He was supposed to come on Monday, but after I called to follow up, I was told he was camping and would come later that week. As of today, I still have not heard from him, and I have been unable to reach him. I understand that schedules can change, but two months of trying to get a confirmed repair date for an issue that was acknowledged by the installer is disappointing. I would have appreciated honest communication and timely follow-through.
