The appointment was made for "between 3-4 PM". Scott arrive at about 4:10. Not a big deal but it led to a very hurried appointment which was fine as I had another shortly afterward. Scott looked at the tub and quickly (30 seconds) determined that the faucet couldn't be replaced without tearing into the base to get at the plumbing. Fine. He doesn't sell small filters so that for the kitchen sink so that was nixed. He spent maybe a minute or two looking at the filter system, determined that the filer was fine and told me what size to replace it with when the time comes. We discussed the cost of a well pump replacement for maybe another two minutes. He was here at our home for MAYBE 10 minutes and other than taking quick looks at the three items mentioned, no work was performed and no parts asked for or delivered. Our bill? $100. We found that to be an outrageous amount considering the above and time involved. I answered Scott's email bill expressing that I would pay promptly but that I thought the cost was way out of line for the "service" provided. I also enclosed a note with my check expressing my displeasure with his charge. His only response was to cash my check. Never again will I call on Thursty Water Systems of Wolfeboro

DJ had informed me that I needed a new water heater and I could definitely tell that it was time. That old thing was busted and rusty as can be. After quickly assessing the damage, he presented me with two options: rebuild and reseal the current trap or outright replace it. Since the former was the cheaper option and had a pretty good chance of ameliorating the leak, I opted for the rebuild and reseal. Total price for the job: $140. All things considered, this business is very affordable and prompt. Their response time is ultimately what led me to elect them for my plumbing repairs. Best of all, they send updates via text to confirm your appointment date and how far out they are before arrival. I also appreciate the fact they're a NH based business. See? Not all my money has to go to Mass. Needless to say....I have them bookmarked for any future plumbing needs (Re: I'll need a bidet installed in my bathroom soon). I highly recommend giving these guys a try. St Pierre Plumbing & Drain Cleaning is worth 5 leak free kitchen sink water traps out of 5.

The next day I called as something was still leaking and he found a crack in the toilet as well as the bowl - Al had dust and signs of having been there. I bought a toilet to try & defray the costs but the two appointments cost over $800! the plumber had a fairly bad attitude and sent me some nasty texts - insinuating I had cracked the toilet the night he was first there. I would not use them and do not recommend them. Cost was same as was quoted when the plumber got the toilet - outrageous pricing and bad attitude.

Being concerned about the expensive local plumber I have used in the past I went on the web! Not being comfortable with the label "PIPE DREAMS" I bit the bullet as he was very local and had a high "yelp" rating so I gave him a call the next business day about 9 am and left a message. He called me back about 10am from out of town but requested if he could stop by about "noon' time: and HE DID 1pm! He took one look and started taking his first of many trips to his truck and came back with a ladder and camera and found a leak at the 3 clock side of the connection. It was a very difficult repair. The steel ring holding the toilet was totally rusted out. But he had the tools in the truck . He not only had the tools in the truck he had all the parts to return the entire toilet to NEW CONDITION and rolled out at 2:45pm and I had a new toilet for HALF THE COST ANTICIPATED . I WAS STUNED. as a register professional engineer he exceeded my highest expectations . He knew what to do, how to do it, prepared to do it, and pleasant and friendly doing it. I CAN HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PIPE DREAMER

Getting water running again was our priority but he suggested starting on the leaks. Not long after beginning, Bub's father told me they couldn't attach their fitting to the well line because water was coming through; realizing my well line is gravity-fed after beginning. I had to pull the well line above the water level myself before they could install a shut-off valve. My well cover is about 300lbs and the line is 8ft down. I'm not sure what their plan would've been if I was not there. After saying the water was flowing again, they later told me my pump was done for and not to run it. They quoted $925 for a new pump, not including labor. With two hours of labor, the bill also came to $925 and my family was no closer to having running water. The materials installed were six feet of copper pipe, several compression fittings, a shut off valve, and a pipe hanger. I called another plumber afterward, who knew right away (just from a phone call) that my pump was fine. He had it running smoothly in minutes by clearing a port of sediment and then adjusting the pressure switch. Bub talked a lot about his experience and showed up with help but needed me to find a way to stop the water in order to address the first leak and then either missed or ignored the step that would've gotten my pump working. Their website claims they're transparent and budget-friendly, but I wasn't told his extreme rate upfront, the bill wasn't itemized (still waiting 9 days after he confirmed he would), and I nearly paid for an unnecessary pump replacement. Leaving 2 stars because the copper work itself was solid, but charging $250 per hour for six feet of easily accessible pipe work feels unreasonable. Being given the wrong diagnosis on the pump was unacceptable and raises concerns about their expertise or honesty.
