Love this store although I always think of the Friends episode where Phoebe doesn't want to have her home be like Pottery Barn. Personally, I love the warm cozy and inviting feels of the Pottery Barn as you enter their doors. The staff here was so sweet and helpful to ask if any assistance was needed . I appreciated the organization of this store and how areas were made to have a certain cozy look. Plenty of seating for weary husbands or significant others to rest if needed. Prices were good as many holiday items were available for purchase. Absolutely would return! read more

Rude bunch. So many associates hiding throughout the store. No one helping customers. What are they doing? One associate came up about 10 minutes into our visit and literally trailed off as she attempted to offer assistance. Never finished her sentence. Stood with an item in plain sight of several associates attempting to buy. No one came. Will buy online. Hate to say this but corporate only needs 2 people to be present. You're wasting your money employing so many careless people. read more

I was interested in Pottery Barn sheets. went to the store near my home and could not believe the little information I could get on the sheets- the person helping me could not even tell me or show me the various colors in the 400 thread count and the 700 thread count sheet sets so went home and ordered online. i got a 700 thread count and a 400 thread count- they are terrible! 400 Count wrinkle and are rough AND they not fit my bed -standard King. the corners do not fit nicely. while the 700 count may be softer, they still wrinkle and fit no better than the 400 count. 400 ct. organic percale were 179.00 king set & 700 ct sateen sheet set were 299.00 king set. I thought for sure the 700 ct. would at least fit better, but they didn't. I have purchased decor, outdoor rugs and numerous pieces of furniture from Pottery Barn-this was 10+ years ago and was very happy with it. I am VERY disappointed in these sheets and may never shop there again! read more

The reviews about the associates of this store are so spot on. I absolutely hate coming to this store due to the associates completely overlooking you when you walk into the store & don't bother to approach you. But sometimes when it comes to bedding you need to come in store to feel the bedding etc. Every experience I've had coming to this store is absolutely negative when it comes to the sales associate. I'm not sure why corporate doesn't ever secret shop this store because they definitely need too. Corporate for sure needs to provide better training for management to pass onto associates. read more

I have been eyeing several pieces of furniture and rugs to purchase. We are remodeling our home and doing quite a bit of updating. Pottery Barn has beautiful items for the home. The reviews for customer service are terrible though! Why would a company make such an investment in your quality of products. Yet, not invest in the same quality of "AFTER THE SALE" care. One is just as important as the other. The reviews are very concerning to me. Wake up, Pottery Barn! If you are claiming to have quality merchandise and charge higher end prices. Hire a high-end staff to take care of the problems that your customers may encounter. Otherwise, you are just another high-priced store. Do you even read your reviews? If I was over your company and reading these reviews. I would really be investing in Secret Shoppers! read more

I wouldn't waste your $$. We are long time PB buyers of furniture and accessories. We recently purchased $20k worth of furniture for a new home. We received a sofa/chaise combination that has mismatched colors. When we reported this to the PB conflict resolution team, we were asked to send in pictures of the furniture and the labels which we did. Today we were informed the colors are different due to lighting, which is clearly not the case. We were also informed that we cannot get a replacement, nor could we return these items because they are custom. Not sure what their definition of custom is as this is not a custom piece. There are also problems with their supply chain, customer service, and delivery systems which have been frustrating. Very disappointed in PB and will finish shopping for additional items elsewhere. Attached a close-up picture. Does this look like the same fabric? read more

In November I ordered, online, 2 chairs with matching table for kids art project. The chairs were delivered promptly. The table was not. After several phone calls to customer service that assured me the table was on the way. I even offered to go the store to pick it up but it was not available at that location. Today a package of a toddler barn sorting toy was delivered. The customer service person said the wrong item was delivered because the table is not available. NOW to get my refund for the table, I have to take the incorrect item to the UPS store. And, of course they would also take back the chairs, but I have unpacked them and no longer have boxes to ship. SO, Pottery Barn makes the error. I am left with clean up the mess including taking the return to UPS AND, the original $ has been charged to my credit card for a month. No wonder everyone shops AMAZON. read more

I will never buy furniture from pottery barn again. I had a design appointment that seemed to go well but lead to several issues. I am currently still waiting months later to get my order fulfilled. The original design and the help from the designer to navigate the first issues were great but it was overshadowed by the broader company's issues. 1. Wrong headboard was delivered. I asked to have it swapped for the correct one and this was done twice with the wrong one being brought again and again. After weeks of this the bed went out of stock and the headboard no longer made so I had to return the whole bedroom set and start over with the design step as the bed and night stands I ultimately was getting were more like ikea furniture and not like what you would expect to spend thousands of dollars for with the wrong pieces (plain wood, not expected upholstery) being delivered. 2. The two chairs for the living room set continued to be held in limbo until I called a few weeks in a row and got the runaround from scheduling saying I couldn't schedule the other items. 3. I got the whole rest of the order scheduled for this coming Monday with a confirmed 2 hour time window, but someone re-added the bed that had previously been cancelled. I called to ask about it and they said it was cancelled and not to worry. I then received another email saying the whole order was "ready to schedule." I called to inquire what this meant and was told they cancelled the delivery appointment for the whole order. They then proceeded to transfer me agent to agent in delivery with some saying they couldn't reestablish the appointment and others saying they could but needed to transfer me to do so (where I was then transferred to another agent saying it couldn't be fixed.). I am now finally on the phone with the warehouse who let me know they can't locate where the items were routed because they didn't include it in cancellation. No idea how this debacle will end. Hopefully someday I will have somewhere to sit. The several weeks sleeping on the floor during the bed debacle was enough. read more

The last two times I have visited the store I have been greeted and well taken care of as a customer. Before that, for a year since I have moved to the area I was overlooked and did not have any exchange of words as little as a greeting with the customer service in the store. I was disappointed until my most recent encounter with the store customer service provider who took the time to help me find what I needed. read more

I am extremely dissatisfied with the customer service this location has provided. I invested so much of my money for a window treatment project for my living room and even had an associate come to my home for the consultation. I made sure to tell the associate to send me the invoice of the transaction and never received an email confirmation of my transaction. As I tried to return the product, I was not allowed to get a refund to my account and only store credit because they failed to give me a receipt which was entirely their fault. After describing their associate who assisted me, they still couldn't accommodate. Poor customer service and lack of follow through all the way around. read more

Tonight 1 returned 2 side tables that I had ordered online 3 days ago. I had tried 2 days ago to ask customer service to cancel the delivery of them but was told "too late to cancel, they're coming to your house tomorrow". When I returned them I was credited for $107.74 less than I was charged! $71.80 for shipping and $35.94 tax which is their error since the tax rate is 8.25%. So beware before ordering from Pottery Barn. Shipping adds 10% to your cost and you lose that amount if you decide you don't want the item that was ordered. I won't be going back. I have nothing to show for the $100 but a lot of hassle. read more

Pottery Barn - Their computer can't add. - Furniture Stores Near Me - Houston, Texas

I made an appointment for a design service, and let them know I wanted to redecorate my master bedroom by placing all new items on my registry. I made known that I was interested in purchasing a new bed for all the new bedding and other various items (lamps, rug, etc.) to match, and they stated they would help design an entire bed with all the bells and whistles to add to my registry, and share with me furniture options that I could purchase (separate from the registry). Upon entering the store, the first thing they showed us was a bed, and she wanted me to purchase the bed that day (no big deal- I understand making a sell). However, She was very pushy and kept trying to sell me on purchasing the bed right then and there. I told her I loved the bed and wanted the details of how to order in the future, as it's a HUGE purchase and I don't take spending $5,000 lightly, and I needed more time to think about it. Immediately she lost ALL interest in the design appointment and did not want to help with the remainder of the design service. She was short with me, she was very rude, and stated she needed to help "buying customers". I reminded her that on our virtual appointment she stated she would help create our registry by designing a bed with all the sheets, duvet covers, quilts, etc. I'm guessing she could tell I was frustrated and kept coming back over to "give advice" on items we were selecting, but basically wanted absolutely nothing to do with us even when that's what the design service was for! I was VERY clear on my design service form, and on the virtual appointment that most of the items were to be selected for the registry, and the store manager AND designer were completely fine with that before entering the store. But when it came down to it, and I was already there for my appointment, they did not want to help AT ALL. What's the point of your design service if you're not designing ANYTHING and get upset over me not purchasing a bed THAT DAY? Unbelievable and a complete waste of time. read more

Horrible customer service, staff seemed competent when she was making the sale. After she made the sale her attitude changed. She doesn't listen well and mess up our order then tried to blame us. Beautiful store but poor customer service. It is ashamed, I went and try the location in Town and Country and Kendra helped us with our beddings and now curtains and our next room would be our entertainment room then our guess rooms. Thank you Kendra for all your help and expertise. read more

Horrible customer service at the store. Tried to exchange a damaged lamp that I ordered online. The store clerk took the lamp and refunded me and then had the nerve to tell me they need to order me a new lamp at a higher price because the price increased this week. Not only that the clerk accused me of damaging it myself and had an attitude the entire time. I asked them to give the lamp back to me so I can exchange online but she refused and said once it is marked damaged there's nothing they can do about it. Similarly the manager was of no help at all. Called online customer service and they fixed the problem in less than 5 minutes. I'm amazed that a premium brand like pottery barn can have such horrible service. read more

They carry the Westin Heavenly Beds!!! I've been shopping for headboards - for like, a year now - and I keep going back to Pottery Barn to look at the same 1200 headboard and justify any and all reasons to buy it. And now, they carry the exact expensive as shiz mattress that I've been dreaming about since 2010, the first time I stayed at at Westin Hotel in San Francisco. It's actually $100 cheaper at Pottery Barn than buying directly from The Westin, AND you don't pay for shipping ($150 at Westin and Nordstrom). Heavenly Bed fans, do consider Pottery Barn. Oh, and they have valet. Wow, must be pretty nice to valet your car to go into Pottery Barn to buy candles and sconces. read more

We ordered our curtains in July and they were supposed to have arrived in late August to early September. I called the customer rep and she said to just cancel the order since there is NO specific date for delivery. So after paying over $1000 for curtains for the home and waiting for months, the customer rep's suggestion today is to just cancel the order. She said while laughing on the phone, "if you don't want to wait for them to make it in China and send it from China, just cancel." I think Pottery Barn should make sone manufacturing contracts with American businesses and train their customer reps better. rude, rude, rude read more

This is my landmark for Highland Village. I come in with both specifics or a clear pallet that is eager for ideas. I find it a pleasant place to shop year-round. It's good to see various items in a tandem display. Further, the staff aren't too pushy and are generally knowledgeable and helpful in locating items. I recently purchased (among other things) a large rug from this location. We loaded it home, rolled it out and thought about it overnite before deciding it wasn't "the" rug. So, my husband hauled it back to the store and was pleasantly surprised there was no mention of a restocking fee (as we'd assumed). They gladly replaced my error with another rug withing a relatively quick amount of time. read more

The customer service here is horrendous. Town and country is so much better. I got to the counter. Someone started helping me then took a call and after 5 min turned me over to someone else. That worker started to check me out then started helping another customer again and again and couldn't focus on my transaction. Then a manager walks up and she and the clerk are hugging and gossiping like s hook girls as I stand there waiting for someone to help me. Finally I had to ask for them to follow through to completion on my transaction. The manager apologized. But then they lost focus again and started helping others. I felt like I was in the twilight zone especially when the manager rifles started counting how many times she apologized. She missed the point that the infractions continued to occur. They are horrible. read more

Excellent customer service. I ordered some curtain rods for my baby's room many months ago. The product unfortunately was back ordered for many months, and I had to end up purchasing a product from somewhere else. Now, many more months later, I came in to return the curtain rods that were finally delivered. I worked with a customer service representative named Sam. After patiently listening to my story about the back ordered curtain rods and my struggles as a new mom with a full time job to get out of the house to make an on-time return, she figured out how to get the return through. I am very grateful and will be back! (Note to readers - the return period is 30 days. Don't do what I did!) read more

Pottery barn costumer service is interestingly bad. I am really surprised! How bad they can be ! I placed an order at 1 am in the website. The same day at 8 in the morning called to modify the order. They told me I can not modify my order nor cancel it and I should wait for goods to be arrived then return them and pay for return! Each time you call you should stay for ever! And I mean it They are slow and inaccurate. I end up with more than 7 hours call till now and more than one month and I still didn't get refund. I would never purchase any thing from them. read more

The customer service in this store is terrible! I have never been completely ignored and dismissed after asking for help in a store in my life! I even called as soon as I left to let them know how terrible the service was, and I normally would never do that. Also, the selection at this location is very limited. If you can go to the memorial location- do it! The manager at this store needs to WAKE UP and read these reviews. read more

Terrible customer service. $7,000 later I have a couch in my living room with no slipcovers. By 'technical glitch' they never ordered the slipcovers with their vendor even though I paid for them. Now they aren't set to arrive for another month and a half. They weren't able to expedite the slipcovers at all even though this was a huge error on their part. This is because Pottery Barn doesn't actually produce the couches themselves. There was very little apology and it took around 10 phone calls and an insane amount of my time to get the slipcovers properly ordered. I was passed off from person to person who had no clue what was going on. Still TBD if the slipcovers actually arrive (at one point in the process they reordered the couch frame instead of the slipcovers!). But for now, I have an eyesore in my living room for over two months. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere local where they appreciate your business. read more

Like every other female in the world, I am obsessed with Pottery Barn. I want everything in my house to look just like the store, and I'm well on my way at this point. And I actually frequent this particular location a lot as it is near my house. However, the level of customer service here is not only non-existent, but infuriating. Honestly, I don't think I've ever had a good experience here, the staff is unbelievably rude and talks down to me. If I call the store with a question they are so unhelpful. I actually called a couple days ago to ask if they had a lantern in stock from their most recent catalogue and the man on the phone was like, "uh I have no idea what you're talking about. We probably don't have it." and was ready to hang up! I questioned him further and he asked me to find out the SKU for him. (!?!) No, sir, I am not going to do your job for you, thanks. The only reason this store even gets a second star is because it's located in highland village, which I frequent regularly, and it's convenient for me to just drop in on my way to lulu lemon or Williams Sonoma. On the other hand, The Woodlands store is amazing and soo opposite of the Highland Village store. Claire, in particular is extremely caring and helpful. read more

Hit or miss with the service here. But mostly misses. 9 times out of 10 I have to deal with an overly flustered employee. I try to stay nice (I worked retail in high school; I get it) but there have been several times a staff member has been outwardly rude and downright useless. Example 1: I noticed there was a Sign that indicated an area had been marked down a certain percentage. Not "Up to xx%" but "xx% off Regular Price!". Upon checking out, the older woman with dark blonde/lt brown long hair (who was already snippy with the person before me) rang me up without the discount. I notified her and she said "whatever rings up, rings up." I told her there was a sign and she said "it probably says 'up to xx% off'. So..... I showed her the sign. Rather than apologizing, she just gave me some more of that attitude....so I left. ****Later,a nice younger man with glasses HAPPILY applied the discount as it was mentioned on the sign. He was even multi tasking, helping out two other customers who had holds/pick ups and didn't break his spirit. Thanks guy! ***** Example 2: Another day, I asked a lady for an item I had called about earlier and she said it wasn't in stock. Even after I told her I spoke with someone an hour before who told me it was, she grumpily muttered "well, don't have them" and walked away. I called over another employee who had just come from the back and they managed to track down the items for me. I told the other employee what I was told by the previous lady and she even said "that's ridiculous, we always have those sheets in stock" So there you go. Most of the time someone wont help you and once in a while there will be someone else who will if you're willing to wait around a bit. But reason I chose those two examples, was because they were literally the only instances I actually got help from someone at all. Good grief! read more

Shopping here was uncomfortable for me. I like to be left alone while I shop. However, upon arriving at this store I was greeted by 3 different people asking me if I needed assistance all within a span of 2-3 minutes. This felt really annoying and discomforting. Though not really my style, I love Pottery Barn. It tends to be more traditional than would suit my home, but there is definitely something for everyone. I guess I should say that I did work there many, many, many years ago, but I'm still objective. Their home accessories, dinnerware, glassware, frames, vases and such are offered in a variety of styles and could work for almost anyone. I'm usually after vases or rugs when I go. They have great Christmas and Hanukkah decorations during the season. If you're looking for larger pieces (beds, dressers, upholstered furniture, etc.), they have a small, but solid selection. For the price, the quality of the products is great. The level of customer service here is top-notch. Seeing both sides of the business, I have to say that this company has its heart in the right place. The customer is always a priority. It has been long enough that I can go into the store and not see a single person I know, but that hardly matters. The employees are all so friendly and helpful, you would think they've met you before. read more

I have been a long time customer for over 20 years. I very rarely return items. I purchased a set of sheets based on a recommendation of a sales associate. I explained that I was looking for a quality sheet, which was soft and had very few wrinkles when washed/dried. She suggested the PB Essential line and could not say enough great things about them. Because of this I purchased two sets. I decided to try one set initially. I washed them and promptly removed "shaking" out the wrinkles prior to drying. Once in the dryer I stopped mid cycle to again shake out so that they would dry evenly and hopefully prevent wrinkling. Unfortunately they were very wrinkled. The quality of the sheet isn't great either-very thin fabric. Luckily I only washed one set. I brought the sheets to the store to see if I could return. I realize they were washed but it's difficult to try a sheet set out without washing. I was told by the store manager that since I had washed them I could not return. She also said the wrinkles were there because of the folds that I had made and that these sheets were a "fan fave." She proceeded to walk away and never came back. I am very disappointed in the quality of these sheets and the customer service I received. I will not shop at this store again and future purchases are in question. read more

This store is absolutely gorgeous! It has two stories, the upper one has mostly big pieces of furniture so I didn't really browse because I don't need any furniture so I headed downstairs where they have everything else. Trinkets galore, I walked around and took everything in! They have really great sales right now on all of their holiday stuff, and it took everything in me not to go nuts on stuff for next year. Instead I headed to the front where I picked up a few cute things for my puppy and the most perfect travel set with a blankie, pillow, and eye mask! I am so glad I found it for I have been searching high and low for something like this because I am going to Las Vegas in a couple of day for school. The best part... everything was on sale! Very disappointing visit to this store last weekend. Although there were plenty of associates in the store they seemed unable to handle the customers. After almost 45 minutes of waiting for someone to help - I finally reached the front of the line only to have Jaime, the associate that I interacted with, be incredibly rude and unhelpful. My questions were met with curt answers and loud comments about them being low on stock and/or understaffed.
