When I walked in everything was fine but once I got to the back to get my x-rays done they asked if anything was hurting I let them know My wisdom teeth were freshly coming in and hurt I even asked if they can do the x-ray slow and gentle since my back teeth were sensitive. The lady doing my x-rays did not care nor listen to what I had just said and decided to jam the machine right onto my wisdom I told her to stop and that it hurt but continued to do the same. Because of that ALLLL 4 of my wisdoms swelled up and began to bleed. she claimed she couldn't get the back teeth on the x-ray because my wisdoms were in the way. we were there for a good hour just doing every type of x-ray. once the doctor finally came in he told her to stop because the x-rays looks fine to him but she insisted it didn't look right and still continued to hit my wisdoms. Once all that was over the dentist looked into my mouth saw my wisdoms were in very bad condition and just told me that He couldn't touch or do anything to them because of how badly they were I explained what had just happened and gave me a petty sorry and ended my appointment and Still decided to charge me. So pleaseee do not come here they just want your money the wont help you no matter what you issue is.

I visited this office August 10, 2026 with two of my kids. They were due for cleanings. They asked if I would like X-rays and I said "as long as the insurance is covering it". Over a month later and now I'm getting a bill from them. Insurance denied the X-rays. Now I have had this insurance for 13 years. Never have had a billing issue from any other office or my insurance. When I called the office to ask them what happened they said "it's a courtesy for us to check your insurance and see if it's covered". Asked to speak to the manager and not available. Left my information for a call back. Nothing. GOT IT so they employ people who do not like to do a basic task for their customers. This dental office does not do its due diligence for its customers and will pull sneaky billings. I do not recommend this office.

I later learned from my insurance company that some of the procedures were actually subject to a six-month waiting period and would not be covered. I understand that insurance can be complicated and that this may have been an honest mistake, but I relied on the information the office gave me. A friend of mine had a similar situation with her dental office, and they identified her waiting period before doing the work and allowed her to postpone her appointment. What has been most disappointing is how the office handled the resulting balance. Given that I was a long-time patient and had been told the procedures were covered, I hoped they would be willing to work with me to resolve the situation. Instead, the only options offered were a payment plan or a 10% discount if I paid the balance in full. I would have appreciated a more reasonable compromise, such as waiving at least part of the unexpected balance. Even more frustrating was the lack of communication. Other than sending generic bills showing the amount owed, there was no meaningful outreach to explain what happened or discuss a solution with me. Ultimately, this experience has caused me to lose confidence in the practice. Even if the insurance issue was an honest mistake, I believe a long-time patient deserved better communication and a greater effort to find a fair resolution. I was very confused because when I went in for the initial appointment for pain I was given a treatment plan it did not reflect that. After being in the dental field 10 years I completely understand that insurance will pay less sometimes but they are firm on waiting periods. I told the girl as much and she said that unfortunately the treatment coordinator who presented my treatment was no longer employed there and could not ask her why she quoted me that when there were notes all over my account. The manager Carrie (I may not be spelling that correctly) then stepped in and said that unfortunately this was my balance and they could not see me if I did not pay but could reschedule for when I could pay. I told her that this was not my fault and should not be responsible to pay anything more than I already am paying (I'm on a payment plan) because I couldn't afford to pay that. She then said something along the lines of "well ma'am you should know your benefits" and then I got upset. At this point I let her know about my dental background and while an estimate can change the waiting period is a simple yes or no question and also I am not paid to know my benefits they are. She then went and got Kevin who tried to tell me that the office manager was out and not back until Tuesday (very convenient) could not make me any deal or discount until they spoke. They also, without my consent tried to get me on another payment plan for the $800 meaning another monthly payment but couldn't do that because I would not have been approved for more funds. I then again restated my issue with being charged more because of a waiting period. Kevin then tried to tell me that when you verify the benefits the first time you don't get the full benefits. I then told Kevin about the last 10 years of my working experience that included verifying insurance for 7 of them. I'm not sure if he meant it condescendingly but that's how I took it when he asked "oh so you've verified dental benefits before?" So I know that is absolutely incorrect. You get the benefits and it is NOT A GUARANTEE OF PAYMENT but a waiting period is crystal clear. Being a corporate office and having worked at one I understood him or who I thought was the office manager Carrie could not make any discounts without authorization but to have to wait a week to hear back if I was getting a discount and then to have to wait another week to be paid was not ideal with a temporary crown. He then said if I wanted to wait I could and they would try and make some calls. I waited because I do not live in San Antonio I live about 35 minutes south. When he came back they offered me a 50% discount. I thankfully was able to pay it today and when I let them know I could pay, Carrie said "okay, I am just going to document so that the discount is here and when you come back it will be here" I then asked "so I can't be seen today?" And she shook her head no. I then told her that I would not be paying anything until I came back to get the crown and then she said "oh so you can pay today?" so I told her "that's what I said, I can pay the $400" so she proceeded to take my payment and although she started her sentences with "I apologize " there was never a real apology or any sense of understanding. This was also an appointment that was supposed to happen a month ago and when I called to reschedule had I been notified I would have been prepared, but to have to walk into the office after driving 35 minutes and basically hear "pay us or get out" I'm sure you can understand why I am upset. So.. if you are like me who's only fault was "not knowing my benefits" I suggest you find out your own benefits because when there is an issue that is where they will try to place the blame. Located in a strip mall off Potranco, parking was super easy.. especially for a 7am appointment lol Office was clean and modern...practice has been around for 5 years. The entire staff was fabulous! Tori was my hygienist and she was awesome. Kind, patient, caring, empathetic... she truly cared and wanted to make sure I was comfortable. She explained everything she was doing and always inquired if I had any questions or to let her know if I was uncomfortable. Bite x-rays were taken with a handheld x- ray gun and cleaning started with a sonic water machine, prior to manual cleaning with instruments. Love how technology has really stepped up these past few years. Met Dr. Brandon for my teeth exam. Very nice and professional. All these years of never having any dental issues or cavities... I succumbed to my first issue. After careful examination, a crack in one of my molars was diagnosed. A two appointment process was scheduled for application of a temporary crown , then three weeks after the final permanent crown. Crowns made are outsourced. Received my estimate at the front desk and all future appointments were made. Not looking forward to a crown, but I feel confident this experience is going to be ok. And received a little baggy containing a free toothbrush, and sample toothpaste with floss. Yay!!! My last dentist didn't offer that at all. Story to be continued......

Long story short my insurance called them on a 3 way call to tell them they never sent it to them: It's like they didn't the most basic job to get the claim. So not sure what was going on.
