The office is rather new, just a couple of years old, and always tidy. Their waiting room is somewhat small, but there's a TV, a Keurig, and bottled water. Oh, and a fish tank. Their dental suites appear state-of-the-art, but what do I know. X-rays are taken in the rooms, and displayed on their widescreen monitors. The doctors do an excellent job of explaining any issues you may have, and how they can be treated. There are no pressure-tactic sales, either. I've been a patient here for over 2 years and it's always a pleasure. Well, not a "pleasure" per se, I mean it is a dental clinic -- but it's a pleasure in as much as a dental visit can be a pleasure. Plan your appointments in advance because they're a busy office and it can potentially take some time to get an appointment.

Making the appointment was fast and easy. The text reminders for the appointment are very helpful. The ladies at the front desk were super friendly and provided excellent customer service. My dental hygienist was Crystal, and she was absolutely the most kind and very gentle. I loved how she explained everything to me in an easy way to understand. She was always checking on me to make sure I was doing okay throughout the procedure. The dentist (forgot his name) was very nice and thoroughly checked all my concerns. The staff is amazing from the check-in and check out to the technicians and the dentist that I've seen. It's obvious that they focus on customer service because they are so polite and accommodating. I felt like they were honest and they weren't focused on upselling me with a sales pitch of unnecessary add ons after cleaning my teeth, which unfortunately has been my experience with other dentist in the area. I've called more than 20 times trying to resolve a mistake their coordinator Julia messed up on. Jackie is the manager who I've spoke to numerous times but has never reached out to me. My senior father needed an emergency crown replacement and unfortunately this was the place we chose.The Alamo Ranch location to be exact. Not only did the dentist just not know what he was doing, we had to return SEVERAL times because the temporary crown kept falling out (I've had a crown before and my temp NEVER fell out). My Dad has Parkinson's so going back and forth several times was such an inconvenience. Julia gave us a quote and we signed on that amount - they even gave us a discount for paying it in advance. Well a year later - why are we getting a bill saying we owe almost $2000? I called them and no one had any answers for me. After I went in person is finally when I met Jackie and thought she would be professional and helpful. She found out that after insurance ran everything we still owed a balance because initially Julia quoted us for dental insurance coverage not knowing my Dad was clearly using Medicare because that was the insurance information we gave them. Jackie said she would follow up with her leaders and now we just received a bill from COLLECTIONS from a procedure that happened almost 2 years ago now. This establishment is exactly why I will never go to chain dental offices. And apparently they would rather scam customers than be honest.

Our insurance denied the claim because the Aspen Dental location off 1604 and Culebra reported that they pulled the tooth in 2019!!!. They LIED!!!! And I had to pay out of pocket to have the tooth removed! What else did they charge to my insurance that they didn't do? I called them to try to get it straightened out but oh they can't do anything without my husbands old phone number that ties the account together. What a bunch of malarkey. They are thieves and liars! Not to mention their office staff was rude to us when we went in 2019 which is why we never returned.
