I'm posting this as I am waiting for someone to arrive (it's 10:34) they open at 10am.
I purchased my car in Sept '18. After the first weekend of driving, the check engine light came one. I called to let them know and bring it by, so they could check the code. I was told they would need to hold my car for 24 hours (Note: They do not have a shop on the premises). This wasn't feasible, but my intent (which I explained) was for them to check the code then determine what work needed to be done (parts ordered, etc) then I could drop my car off for maintenance. I was told this wasn't possible because they didn't have a reader. When I did drop my car off (the check engine light was no longer on), they kept the car for almost a week before it was explained to me that they needed the light on to check the code directly. I took my car to Auto Zone to have the code checked myself and had a screenshot/picture of the code/issue. I forwarded this to the owner, but after 24 hours he deemed this wasn't enough and they needed to see the code. As I approached the two week mark of owning the car, with far less than the 1000 mile warranty, it was still on their possession. Finally, I was given a loaner vehicle, which enabled me to get to work. Once my car was finished, I was told I could pick it up on a specific day. I arrived probably 40 minutes before closing, but had to wait for my car to arrive to the lot. The cost of the repair was 50/50. Temporary tags are generally 60 days at a time. I called a week before my tags expired to get an update and was assured that my tags would be ready before they expired. As I sit in the parking lot, after knocking on the door, before I have to be to work for the rest of the day, because no one is in the office. I called the office, no answer. I text the owner and am informed that no one will be available to give me the tags until 12p because they are at an auction. I was even advised that I would be fine driving on dead temp tags tomorrow... yea definitely not taking that chance and being subjected to any ticket/fines/fees or repercussions that come from that bad recommendation.
The car, after repair, is fine. The customer service and sever lack of communication has greatly diminished my experience with this purchase. read more
