I've been going to potato corner for as long as I could walk, maybe even before that. I have fond memories of being left at internet cafes with a huge pile of Potato Corner fries while my family, you know, relaxes without me screaming in their ear. Potato Corner is some sort of french fry institution here. You can find a potato corner in pretty much every mall, barangay, street corner, school, and whatever else in the country.
Potato Corner's edge comes from its flavor powder. I'm a fan of the barbecue flavor, and speaking from experience, I've still never found a barbecue flavor powder in french fries that matches up to Potato Corner's. Of course, they also offer a variety of flavors such as your typical cheese and sour cream, and my newfound favorite, Corn. I know what you're thinking - CORN? WHAT? But their powder kind of reminds me of a crushed up version of Sweet Corn, a corn snack that I was always in convenience stores next to the Cheese Ring. It (surprisingly) works very well with french fries. As far as widely-franchies kiosks go, Potato Corner is pretty damn good. read more
