I also provided proof of ID and address and he still didn't give me a new Oyster card despite showing more proof than I was supposed to. He accused me of not saying the truth and that I'm not eligible for it. How can that be the case when I have it stamped and signed? I also showed him more proof than I was supposed to. He made me go through so much stress just to get a new Oyster card and I never had to do all this. None of the previous employees ever asked for my bank statement because my ID and form is enough. but this guy made me get my bank statement and on top started looking at my personal things (my outgoing and incoming) The audacity. He kept saying I need to show proof I live in London? How can I not live in London if I literally showed my ID and bank statement? Obviously I got irritated and told him that he isn't doing his job properly and I kept explaining that I'm showing proof of everything but he still said no. He was telling me to provide more than I was supposed to. (He then told me to show a council tax letter to prove I live in London) nowhere does it say I need to provide that to get a discount Oyster card. He was being complicated on purpose. He must get a pay rise for it to be behaving like this. Later, I went to another post office and they gave me a new Oyster card within seconds, they asked no questions and they didn't even ask for my bank statement because it's not needed like this man claims. so after that I went back and showed him that "look you accused me of "lying" so how comes another post office gave it to me" he didn't have no answer he kept saying "I don't know" but still owed me no apology because he couldn't admit he was in the wrong. How are they employing someone like this?

That was the complete opposite of what I experienced when picking up a package that couldn't be delivered while I was out. No line at all despite the single window open in the small "office" and the employee was pleasant and helpful. Totally positive experience to all the horror stories and negative expectations you have going into it. Now you just have to move to East London to get to experience it for yourself!

I sent an email to Customer Service and never heard back. I have no idea where my package is... or when it will arrive. Which is just fabulous considering Christmas is next week. This isn't customer service... there is a reason they have terrible reviews online. Don't use Royal Mail- you'll be disappointed.

This is the smaller one of the 2 post-offices on Bethnal Green Rd. It doubles up as a store, and is…read morea little bigger than your average multi-purpose store. As with most post-offices in the area, this place gets quite busy, not incredibly busy though, as some of the weight is taking off their shoulders by the other post office down the road. This post office does most of the standard services, but it doesn't do a passport check and send service. I really can't complain about anything, as the service is good, and system is quite efficient.

The latest incident happened when I handed £20 note for couple of packages, then counter staff asked me again to pay for packages. I told her I already handed £20 note, she replied I hadn't! Because she put my note, stright to the cash register, and now made me look like a liar. It happened twice!
