When the DPD says you need something like that caprice doesnt bode well for one who dabbles in it. You follow the rules. I dreaded going to the Post Office. The one I usually go to on Livernois near Michigan is crowded and there are turtles that move faster than the lines do. So when I was out getting ice cream, I discovered this little branch. The walk from the bus stop was longer than I waited inside here. No lines, and the clerk was helpful in processing my request without batting an eye. It was so fast that I was able to catch the very next bus down Grand River. I was wholly impressed. As I said before, there are some hidden gems here in the D and this is one of them. If you need to mail something consider this branch. Lots of parking out front too. I even like the design of the building. That says something. The one thing that the government got right. If only Congress was like this we'd have a better time of things.

I checked-in on time and the "greeter" checked me in and directed me to take a seat. The waiting area is full. I found a seat and was immediately engaged by a woman who identified as homeless. She asked me for money. At 12:34 PM, after selecting another seat, I overheard a man tell another that his appointment time was 12:10 PM. It appears that walk-ins are served even if it encroaches on someone's appointment time. It's now 12:45 PM, and I have not been called yet! I parked on the street so now I'm likely to get a ticket! What is the point of having an appointment if you can't rely on being called on time? I doubt very seriously that the suburban offices are so poorly run.

Every time I've called they have responded with the utmost respect and dignity and treated me so nice even though the reasons I was calling turned out to be false alarms and it was just my mind playing tricks on me. They did not judge nor act immature in any way, they were excellence in every manner of the word. I really appreciate it although I feel like crawling under a shell right now as I thought someone had broken in my house while I was gone when I got back but they did not find any trace of anyone so hopefully it was all in my head but even if it wasn't they did such an amazing job and even gave me a ride to the hospital to get checked out! There tends to be 2 people working the windows. Does everything a post office/ postal service is built to do, with two bonuses. One, it's bilingual (spanish/english). Two, it's the ONLY post office i've ever used where the employees are super friendly. Without exception, this place always makes the experience of going to the post office actually a little pleasant, which is so rare anywhere else.

The dirt roads are a mess. Could some of the left over lime stone and gravel from the project be dropped off on South Tipisico Lake rd so that it isn't full of mud holes. It could save some travel of product back to the yard. Just makes sense that we don't fix one road and destroy the surrounding roads.

The counter clerks are very good at what they do and offer a positive outlook.  It's refreshing to do business with them.  If the building is closed there are some conveniently located postal boxes right outside.  You can drop items in when walking by or even drive up if you want to.  The building is located in a quaint plaza and the traffic passing by is usually quiet and moving at a reasonable pace.

They also have a once a month nightly chamber event as well as weekly events in and around the local businesses. They often to get together in the morning for a Royal Oak chamber network event as well. They do a lot of ribbon-cutting events and often. Of all the chambers that I've been introduced to, this is one of the most active of all of them. We've been invited and participated in many chambers events over the years. Royal Oak chamber has key staff members that plan, organize, coordinate and schedule all of these great events. They do a lot of fun activities as well. I went to some evening network events at diamonds steak House, gusoline alley, Rock on 3rd, Mesa tacos and tequilas and at Pronto with karaoke. If you join any chamber, this should be the one.
