Two and a HALF STAR rating. Agree with reviewer Natalie V. and would NOT recommend for Board & Train. It has been 10 days since I picked up my puppy and I have not received an email (as Victoria told me I would before I left), about what my puppy was supposedly trained on! She didn't have my email address HOWEVER, I emailed it to her the very next day bright and early and never got a response! I feel as though he wasn't trained on ANYTHING because when I picked him up, he was jumping on Victoria (what I wanted him to learn NOT to do) as well as chewing on his leash (wanted him to learn NOT to do that either!) I'm not a professional dog trainer but I know consistency is key when learning something new so it is a complete DIS-service to NOT know what to continue to train my puppy on! Also, during pick up and drop off she had just gotten home from doing one on one trainings else where so how is my puppy getting trained when she's not there?? I feel like I got gypped into the training part of the service. The pluses to this review/business is that Victoria's home is very well equipped for a dog or puppy with a double gated outside play area, plenty of toys, and just all around great environment to also get well aquatinted with other pups. She also responds very quick to text and is flexible with payments. She also makes sure your puppy's have current vaccinations to protect your puppy and others. She also offered to clip Chances nails before I left and gave him a trim around his eyes which I didn't ask for but, I appreciated it. It does take a passionate dog lover to open up your home and train a strangers dog so she gets a star for that for sure! Still up for debate if I would go back for boarding? read more

Positively Pups - On his way to Train & Board with Victoria! - Pet Training Near Me

Victoria has officially saved my sanity--and probably my floors, rugs, furniture, and whatever dignity I had left. Before she entered our lives, our sweet pup (Oakley) was essentially a tiny, furry sprinkler of pee and a landmine factory of poop. Every day was a new guessing game of "What's that smell?" and "Oh no... I just stepped in it, didn't I?" Enter Victoria, the dog whisperer / saint / wizard / actual angel disguised as a trainer. We sent our puppy to her for board and train, and I swear she sent back a completely different dog--one that pees OUTSIDE. I repeat: OUTSIDE. I don't know what kind of Hogwarts-level sorcery she pulled, but it worked. And that's just the beginning! My dog now knows how to sit like a proper lady, "leave it" like it's hot, and stay "quiet"like a ninja. The jumping to greet everyone like they owe her money? Way down. The nipping with those razor-sharp baby teeth? She taught her that humans are friends, not chew toys. That's all just bonus material at this point--my bar was literally "Please just don't treat the living room like a toilet." Victoria is amazing at what she does, truly. If you're on the fence about dog training, just do it. You might not get your life back, but you'll get your house back--and that's honestly better. THANK YOU, Victoria! You deserve a medal and maybe a cape! read more

Tori was WONDERFUL to work with! We left our boxer Theo with her for 2 weeks for board & train. From the beginning she made us feel so comfortable about leaving him and we knew he would be in a safe place where he could learn new skills and boundaries. He has learned so much and we can't wait to continue working with positively pups! read more

Victoria is an excellent trainer. We found a stray Pitbull and Victoria has been helping us calm our dogs anxiety and has helped her learn how to get along with our much smaller dog. Our dog is calmer and listens to commands, and we see being able to keep her because of Victoria's training. Victoria boards both our dogs and sends us daily updates and videos so we know they are safe and well taken care of. We highly recommend her!!! read more

We used Victoria and were so disappointed. She doesn't return emails or phone calls until you continue reaching out to her She had cancelled many appointments and could never get her to come out for our 3 "complimentary " home follow ups. The training was very basic so we are looking to put our sweet dog for real training. read more

Victoria did a fantastic job with our 6 month old basset hound. She's responsive, professional, and got the job done. Winston, our dog, does have some work to do but since coming home he has no problem with potty training and the commands: - sit - drop - leave it - wait - stop biting - let's go - go potty - outside - Look He's lost a few commands that he learned but that's because we haven't been able to follow up with what Victoria accomplished. The weather has prohibited us the past two weeks from taking 30 minutes outside. We do plan on going to the 3 free follow up sessions. I have never sent any of my other dogs to training and therefore can't compare my experience but I will be referring Positively Pups to my friends in the future. Awesome job! read more

Wouldn't recommend for board and train. There was no training that took place and we left our dog for 2 (expensive) weeks. No updates on how our dog was doing while we were away and then just given paperwork over commands when picked up with no follow up on training. read more

Victoria did a wonderful job training our puppy! We did a 4 week long board and train with her right after getting our 4 month old cavapoo. Winnie started out as a wild unmanageable puppy and we got her back with a solid start at potty training and general obedience! Victoria has definitely made our first year as pet parents so much easier to navigate. We've already left Winnie with her for boarding a few times and we're always confident she takes wonderful care of her! SO thankful to have Victoria as a resource! Worth every penny! read more

My daughter got Piper, a Cocker Spaniel puppy, for her birthday and we wanted to make sure she received the best training possible. We found Positively Pups' website and loved the description of the services offered as well as the client testimonials & reviews. Piper did in home board training for 5 weeks. She came home SO incredibly well-trained and happy!!! We loved that she lived and trained full-time in a real home setting with other dogs and people cooking, activities, etc. and that she went on leash outings in public places to get her used to being around many people. We truly cannot recommend Positively Pups highly enough. So loving and so personally invested in this your puppy's training and well-being. read more

I chose board and train for my pup Jasper (White German Shepherd - pictured twice in the photos) because of my busy schedule and I knew it would be best for him. Victoria and her Fiancé was great with him. His first week there they arranged for me to come and see him because I missed my pup. (he also got bite by something while there as well and they took care of him). they were more than willing to let me see him. when I arrived they brought him in and let him play around while they talked to me about his training and how it was going. I was also able to visit him more while there and even at one point had to take him to the vet because we thought that my Jas had a UTI. when I got Jas back, we were both so happy to have each other back. his first couple of days transitioning back home where a little hard for us both because we were both on different schedules and such, but here we are now, just fine. I would high recommend them to anyone who would listen to me and who has a new puppy of needs boarding. I would gladly take him back just to have a play date while I am at work. read more

Baxter has stayed with Victoria several times when I have been out of state, and I would not trust anyone else except family. He ALWAYS has a great time and she keeps me updated as I am a single dog mommy. We have taken classes with Victoria and she is EXTREMELY patient and you can see the love she has for her students. She is AWESOME and I will continue to use her. It is such a nice feeling to know Baxter is getting love when I am away from him. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK VICTORIA!! read more

If you are even thinking of contacting Victoria from Positively Pups, DO IT! We got a goldendoodle puppy and were in over our heads bc she would jump, bite, eat shoes, bark, was terrible on walks - you name it! Victoria is so patient, kind, relatable, and soo knowledgable. She had such realistic solutions that were doable and maintainable to train our dog. She let us be hands on with the dog during the training to carry it over at home. Our dog is very well behaved now at 1.5 yrs old (and very teachable for new tricks), and we owe it all to Victoria. We did a mix of board and train and one on one private sessions with Victoria - worth every penny! I recommend her in a heartbeat for your dog! read more

I HIGHLY recommend Victoria for all things dog training! When I adopted my dog, he was two and had been severally abused. He would roll over and pee on himself whenever he saw a stranger, had no self confidence and was terrified of the world. I've been working with him a lot over the past 2 years but finally decided I needed someone's help to get him so that he could live his best life. This is where Victoria came in. She was so helpful over text message and our first session was amazing. By the end of it she had our little Eddie wrapped around her fingers and had left us with a ton of tips and things to work on. We can't wait for our next session. Thanks Victoria. read more

Victoria was professional and kind. She really showed patients in helping our dog and kids learn to work together. We will use her again the future. read more

We absolutely love Victoria. She took care of our 5 month old puppy and he loves her. There is something to be said about someone who is in touch with you with pictures and notes while you are far away from your furry friend, and Victoria did all this and more. She is extremely good with our little guy and we know he loves being with her as well. Having tried both her train and board and board programs, we've been very happy and would recommend Victoria to anyone looking for an affectionate home while you're away. She is definitely our bff's bff now! read more

Love this company she is awesome with the dogs and really really great at her job if you want your dog to have a loving experience and learn how to treat your dog she is definitely the place to be!!! read more

I searched hi and low for just the right dog trainer! I wanted my pup to be in a home atmosphere, not crated for prolonged periods, trained with a positive reinforcement/marker training method and all at a reasonable price. That is what I got! Lulu came back home so much more well behaved than when she left! literally already worth every penny and she has only been home a week. I let Victoria know little quirks we were having and she fixed them in addition to basic training. Namely my large boxer pup now leaves my old yorkiepoo alone and they get a long! She is also way more efficient at pottying outside, rain or shine! We just had our follow up and LuLu continues to learn and is doing excellent at all the commands! Take note: the owner will have to learn all the words and reinforce the training! This is with any dog training! Use it or lose it! The follow up was more for me to learn the right way to execute commands. We implemented all of their recommendations and it's working! Highly recommend!!!!! read more
