We are extremely dissatisfied with our experience with Pinelands Pet Motel. We placed a deposit on…read morea Bichon Frise puppy and were told that selections weren't made until pups were a bit older. We then received no communication from the breeder until I sent multiple messages chasing up information about the transportation of the pup and for recent photos. We didn't find out until 7 weeks of age (5 weeks after deposit was made) which pup was ours. We also received no information regarding vet checks or the puppy's progress. After booking our pups flight and organising transportation the breeder then mentions a contract. We had never been informed of a contract and are not comfortable signing a contract that dictates when the pup must be desexing and what must happen if it was ever rehomed (it did go further than this, threatening legal action if we did not comply). We were obviously not comfortable signing such a document after spending thousands on a puppy and stated that to the breeder and requested a refund on the basis we were never informed of such a contract (I do not think this is too much to ask and we would be more than happy to forego the deposit if we had of known). We then received no further communication from the breeder for 2 weeks at which time she had onsold the pup and refused us a refund. I would never recommend anyone purchase a puppy from this breeder, they are only in it for the money and don't even provide future families with updates about the pups, we never received more than email communication which is extremely impersonal. Buying a pup is supposed to be a loving and personal purchase not a simple sale with zero communication. I have owned dogs my whole life and never had any issues with breeders in the past, this is utterly rediculous and anyone willing to sign such a contract upon purchase of a pup needs to seriously do their research. We do not even know if the breeder can legally enforce any of the conditions but it is not a risk we were willing to take.

We welcomed a gorgeous 4 and a half year old Dalmatian into our home, and our lives, just after the…read moreloss of my husband, for a while there I really wondered whether I had done the right thing by any of us, myself, my son or Mr Mojo Myself and my son instantly bonded with this noble sweet boy needing a new home and a fresh start. He had a few issues, and so did we. The search was on for a trainer who could help us help him and bring happiness and balance to our home once more Justin came highly recommended, I had my doubts that an in home training session and on going support were going to be enough, I was delighted to be proven wrong! The first thing about Justin was definitely his professionalism, but, more importantly, his empathy and genuine passion for our dogs well being shone through His welcome from our cranky feline family would have been enough for most to have thrown in the towel without going any further. Justin gave grace, understood that it was a household still grieving and moved in to Mr Mojo Justin's assessment was detailed and individual, realistic and attainable Everything was achievable with a calm approach, consistency and reward, backed up with constant praise and positivity No gimmicks No pressure selling of training aides or miracle cures No force No domination, not even the dreaded 'leadership walk' that others had extolled, that would leave our boy a gibbering wreck No negative measures or tactics Kind, gentle training, more of us than Mr Mojo at times, with positive reinforcement and loads of encouragement and support All aspects of Mr Mojo's life and routines were addressed, feeding, exercise, play, toys, family time, car safety, socialisation (both with people and dogs) right down to the collar he wore, the way I held his lead and accommodating his emotional needs alongside his physical needs What some saw as aggression and dominance, Justin viewed as a lack of confidence, an uncertainty in his place in our home and family, in short, our boy was waiting to get bumped on to the next family, the next home, the next set of rules Viewing our beautiful Mr Mojo through a different lens, looking at what he was telling us by his body language and behaviour, allowed us to help him become a better member of the canine community Also, a realisation that some things that are broken, cannot be fixed, but that they can be accommodated and adapted to....what do I mean? Well, Mr Mojo is never going to be a fan of small white fluffy dogs....solution....avoid them when out don't invite them to our home. Unrealistic? No, it really isn't. Aside from said small white fluffy dogs Mr Mojo is incredibly tolerant of all comers, human, furred, feathered or scales (yes, he even loves our blue tongue lizard!) This gorgeous boy, now over 7 years old, will hold and wash a foster kitten gently and with no aggression, he will watch and care for the chooks and chicks, adores the goat and her kids, and helps mumma goat by supervising the kids when she needs a break. Mr Mojo's favourite time is that spent in the paddocks with the horses When Mr Mojo senses someone is hurting, emotionally or physically, he becomes Velcro dog....he supports and cares, showing infinite love and gentleness....this is the dog inside the young dal that came to us....this is the dog that Justin instinctively knew that we had, the one that he encouraged me to find and to nourish and cherish Aside from the in home training, Justin provided, and continues to provide, unending support via Facebook, messenger and texts Justin did such a fantastic job of helping Mr Mojo and us that our boy is awaiting his assessment to become an assistance dog. Mr Mojo goes everywhere with us and is a much loved family member, who is also widely welcomed into our community When we got our second Dalmatian, Justin was not able to accommodate us at that time, but was supportive in finding us another suitable and positive reinforcement based trainer, how many professionals do you know that would do that? Upon moving to rural NE Victoria and taking in another young Dalmatian with serious health and emotional issues, the first person I turned to for advice was JJ, sadly, he does not have staff in Victoria as yet, but, as ever, he was supportive, helpful and kind. In short, Justin is everything I could ever want or need in a dog trainer and I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone and everyone

I use them because they have flea and tick treatments for cats and dogs which are usually at least $10 less than what you would pay anywhere else (and they do get expensive). They also deliver promptly which is also another good thing as you will never go without whatever you order. They also stock the premium range of dog food like your Royal Canin or Eukanuba in large quantities and they actually have a doggy undercoat rake for breeds like the Chow Chow, Siberian Husky or like my dog the Japanese Spitz. Saves me having to take her to the groomers now, prices are really good, the undercoat rake usually goes for $30-$40 if you can find it (you can't really) but they sold it for $15.80. The medicated shampoos (the full vet range too) go for at least $5 less than what you would pay at the vet as well. The medicated shampoo and conditioner we bought from the vet cost us $31 for both and here it would be $24 and they sell the bigger bulk bottles too, not just the small skinny tubes that wouldn't last long if you were bathing 3 dogs or a few large ones. Smell nice though! They have a great dane dog walking around too who is so beautiful and weights 60kgs so go to give him a pat too!

As a member, we often get credit back from past purchases at Petstock which can then be deducted from future purchases. This combined with regular sales on Master Canine's food of choice mean it is a conveniently located and value for money store. Much like most pet shop chains these days, their warehouse style shops are full with toys, food, coats, fish, cat goods and all that jazz. The staff here are ever helpful and it does make a difference.

Weird. In truth, what I think they're trying to convey is that they have a comprehensive range of pets, animal accessories and pet food as well as the know how to match. Having checked out their store and bought a couple of tetras as a gift for a friend's aquarium I'd have to agree. And before I go on to catalogue the impressive animal inventory on offer I'd like to point out that these guys do not support the ethically dubious practice of 'puppy farming' that some other bigger chains do, instead adopting out cats and dogs (not necessarily the cute juvenile ones) from animal welfare groups in an admirable not-for-profit venture. Kudos guys... OK, public service message aside these guys have: birds, fish, cute as a button baby turtles, lizards (blue-tongues, various 'dragons'), snakes and even pet insects. That's right, INSECTS ( I spotted some very interesting and well camouflaged leaf insects for sale)! Their range of healthy pet food has equal 'wow' factor. There are heaps organic meats and bones for your dog, even vegetarian equivalents of old favourite pet snacks like the vege pig's ear.
