Our family has sent 3 kids to this school over the last 5 years. My favorite part about this school…read moreis the community of friends, parents, and kids it's created for our family. Currently we have an infant with Ms Tresa and Ms Brittany and a Pre-K'er with Ms. Sarah. Ms Tresa and Ms Brittany are so warm and make it 10000x times easier to drop her off each morning... they also do a great job keeping to the schedule I've requested for our baby. Our Pre-K'er blows me away with how much he's learned in Ms. Sarah's class. The way she integrates academics, emotional intelligence, and social and community responsibility has done so much to shape my kiddo. Highly recommend considering this school for anyone in the market!

Our experience with this school has been deeply concerning from a safety and management…read moreperspective. The school consistently appears to be understaffed, and families frequently receive messages asking parents to keep their children home due to staffing shortages. In addition, there have been multiple state violations, poor communication, and several incidents that we feel were either undocumented or not appropriately addressed. As parents, the safety and well-being of our children are our highest priorities, and unfortunately, we no longer feel confident that this school can provide a safe and reliable environment. Due to these ongoing concerns, we are actively seeking a different school for our children. Based on our personal experience, I would not recommend this school to other families.

Literally, I scheduled soooooo many pre k school tours. We are new in town and was recommended this…read moreschool from a mom's fb group. This was the last school we toured and it was a definitely a "save the best for last" situation. Of course, I had no idea, but I asked the universe to lead me to the perfect school and OF COURSE, that's literally what I got. I just have to say FIRST, I'm soooooooo excited for my kids to attend here and SECOND when I entered this place I just felt overcome with tranquility from the music they had on, which was like meditation music and my kids (3) and (2) went straight to Priya, the director, which made me feel even more at peace. And then when my son asked her where his cubby was she said, "when you come back we will have one ready for with your name." I thought that was very sweet. Then when my kiddos kept playing with the paint bottles after I told them not to, she again very gracefully stepped in and redirected them. She didn't say no, or anything like that. Just, "it's not paint time," but "do you guys wanna come over here to check out the kitchen?" Once again, I was like YES!!!! We can't wait to start in the Fall.. I just loved it from the 45 min or so my tour lasted, and so did my kiddos. I have so much respect for what Priya is doing, thank you for making this mama feel like "this is our place."

The teachers are genuinely so caring, creative, and dedicated to the children. Our daughter has thrived in ways that we could not have predicted, both socially and academically. The activities they provide are so much fun for the kids, our daughter got to hatch baby chicks, grow butterflies and have so many hands-on, nature-based learning experiences. It's such a joyful environment for the children and we couldn't be more grateful.

The first few years of a child's life are such important learning years. When we moved to the area,…read moreit was imperative to us that we find a preschool with warm, caring adults in a christian community that support development and an educational curriculum, while allowing children to have fun and explore with curiosity. We found all of that (and more!) at Smyrna Christian School. SCS has helped our child learn how to play, work together, and establish great friendships. They have continuously provided materials/activities that interest our child (and challenge her!) They have encouraged our child's efforts (which has truly aided in adding to her confidence.) They set clear limits for behavior (which is appreciated!) I love always receiving our child's drawings, writings, and crafts at the end of every week. They encourage parental involvement (which goes back to the whole "community feel") and welcome parental participation with class parties. How beautiful is that?! I truly cannot say enough GOOD about this establishment. Before we found SCS, our only-child went to a "glorified daycare" preschool and for so long, we didn't know how much it was hindering our child. It wasn't until we moved and enrolled at SCS that we saw our child turn a complete 180 in every aspect of her life that we realized what EXCELLING truly meant. I am forever grateful for SCS (and my only complaint would be that I can't keep our child here for kindergarten, too!)

Every morning we are greeted with a smile and a "Good Morning" from Miss Jodi in the office, and all along the hallways my kiddo happily says hello to all the teachers. They're all very friendly and engage your child in conversation which makes them feel seen and heard, and important. She just loves talking with them on the way to her classroom. Her teacher is Miss Vickie, and she just adores her. She is kind and attentive, and a wonderful human being. My daughter has learned SO much this year, and she loves doing it! They learn Spanish, colors, numbers, writing, and she even comes home telling me about the fun centers they have in class, and how silly George Washington's wig is! I love how happy she is there, and how much she's grown in her independence and knowledge. I'm convinced that a better school does not exist. Truly, it has been the biggest blessing for our child. I wish they taught kindergarten so we could stay!!

Additionally, they went up 16.5% on our tuition last year, and another price increase is coming in the next month or so. On top of the price increase, they have cut some of their services. They used to offer a full breakfast, but they have changed that to an AM snack instead. It's very frustrating to be charged more for tuition and get less services. I would've highly recommended this place a year or so ago, but they are the most expensive place in town and you can probably find better quality elsewhere. We are in the process of looking at new facility to move our daughter.

As a husband of a former employee and father of a child…read moreenrolled, I am highly disappointed in the treatment of employees and students at this place. Policies allow the children to run wild with no true guidance or discipline, parents way overpay for what care the children are provided. Parents pay $400 per week per child and are fed ham sandwiches multiple times each week. Teachers come and go because after 90 days, they realize that this employer is a scam. Health insurance is not affordable and teachers with children still pay a large portion of their checks for their children to be enrolled. Teachers are great individuals but are not paid according to their responsibilities and duties. Multiple teachers are given out of ratio classrooms and are asked to do more per shift because of employee turnover: STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.
