On top of that, I didn't witness any children nor any indications that any children were present there. Putting both of those observations together, I strongly suspect that Ithaca Montessori school in Madison, Tn. is nothing but one big scam to leach money off state and federal governments. Nick Shirley truly needs to investigate this school and other schools like it in Tennessee.

However, they have shown how excellent they take care of each child in their care. They made me feel very safe and confident in their abilities, so we decided to enroll our newborn and we are so pleased with them! We have no regrets. The teachers are amazing. Miss Lilly, Miss Bre, and all the newborn teachers truly love the children. My daughter learns so much every single day. I review what she's learned and she's able to communicate with me all the exciting things she learned. My kids both come home clean. They love going to Kindercare each day. It's a family atmosphere there. Miss Alex and Miss Amber do an excellent job running the show. Communication is great and we enjoy looking at the calendar to see all the fun days planned each month. I was approached by the manager in the lobby who was arguing with me about my child's feeding schedule. What I have seen during this 2020 pandemic is nothing short of miraculous. The school chose to put our children first and send them home. As so many of us are working professionals this could not have been an easy call, but they made it. Teachers have sent positive messages and set up zoom meetings with our kids, suggestions on positively handling a scary time, sanitizing the school while we are gone, and overnight coming up with a legit school experience from home was mind blowing. I am so happy to have my child (and myself) belong to such an incredible place. There have been major changes at the school in the last year alone and all for the better. You should definitely give it a try and if you have and it didn't go as expected - really consider giving it another chance. I'm happy to talk to anyone about it. We will get through this and be stronger for it because of the foundation we have here.

Our experience with this school has been deeply concerning from a safety and management…read moreperspective. The school consistently appears to be understaffed, and families frequently receive messages asking parents to keep their children home due to staffing shortages. In addition, there have been multiple state violations, poor communication, and several incidents that we feel were either undocumented or not appropriately addressed. As parents, the safety and well-being of our children are our highest priorities, and unfortunately, we no longer feel confident that this school can provide a safe and reliable environment. Due to these ongoing concerns, we are actively seeking a different school for our children. Based on our personal experience, I would not recommend this school to other families.

Our Pre-K'er blows me away with how much he's learned in Ms. Sarah's class. I finally asked the lady at the front desk when we could meet with the director and she told me she was not there, but still at her son's doctor appt. I totally understood that, however, she asked me to reschedule for later so of course, I said yes. I received confirmation to my phone and then another notification saying the staff was out due to a stomach bug or something like that. I understand. However, after that I expected to get a call from the director or the school to reschedule once again but that never happened. My intention in writing this is just for another mama to take my experience into consideration when looking for the perfect fit for their kiddos. It just seemed/s off. This was by FAR the worst experience we've with a daycare. For reference, KA was our 3rd daycare so…read morefar (we recently moved to the area). Where to begin: 1. Prior to enrolling, our 2yr old was going through her 'biting' stages of toddlerhood. She had two incidents at her prior school with a long stint of no incidents after that before enrolling in KA. Once enrolled at KA, our 2yr old went on biting streak. Upon further investigation as to why this kept happening, I found out that A) the classroom was incredibly overcrowded - there was no way any amount of teachers could keep an eye on that amount of kids and B) everyday there was a new teacher in the classroom. The teacher churn was UNREAL. That tells me they don't pay their teachers jack squat and kids run the place so of course the teachers don't care. After awhile, they would start sending my 2yr old home after an incident. How the F am I supposed to pay for daycare if I also have to watch my child? I brought this up to management but they didn't care. Eventually our 2yr old was kicked out of KA. At her new school, she's had one incident of biting in 6 months. Her class has the same 2 teachers M-F and a much smaller class size. 2. KA will take any and every excuse to either close down or send your child home for the day, not just major holidays or incidents, not to mention the 2 weeks off around Christmas/New Years that you are EXPECTED to continue to pay for. Training day for teachers 2-3 times per year? Schools closed, kids stay home and you pay for it. Woke holiday? Schools closed, you pay for it. Mild storm expected? Schools closed, you pay for it. 3. This school is incredibly cheap and although the facilities are nice, good luck trying to get a refund or vacation time without escalating it past management to the owners. All in all, I would avoid unless its your only option.

We were notified at 6 PM on Friday that our daughter could not come back full time on Monday. Needless to say, it has put us in a terrible position. I can understand staffing turnover has made it difficult for them but they gave us no notice and chose to not keep my daughter in the program because she doesn't have siblings. In other words, they made a business decision about my daughter and our value to them as a family. We always paid in advance so she would never have to deal with her care being transactional and they could focus on her without worrying about the money side of it. Unfortunately, we just weren't valued here. To boot, since we pay in advance they had a check in hand for this week and despite me telling them not to, deposited it. Now we have to try to get our money back.
