My wife and I came to this spot as she did some research and suggested it before we went to a concert up the road. Food was beyond on point. We had the Positano Salad, and a pizza. Both hit the spot. I honestly could have done the salad and have been satisfied. Good portions, well plated food that didnt seem rushed as it was prepared. Jadyn was one of those pleasant surprises you get these days sincere, authentic service. She checked in on us at the right pace and the other customers as well. She was spinning a lot of plates and was doing it well. We had Gelato to end the evening and it was good as well. Def not overly sweet, with real good flavor profiles. The pizza is comparable to Antico in Atlanta, but in my opinion has more generous toppings and the crust is softer which I prefer, but that's just my preference. The have two wood fire brick pizza ovens and that probably helps get things out quick. We've had a margherita and the trafaturo (sp?) as well as one of the salads. I can't remember the salad name but it was nice and fresh. While we like the pizzas, the trafaturo could've had more mushrooms. I think their crust may be my favorite of the Smyrna area pizza places. First time trying Positano's, and while I don't eat pizza often, they're a great choice when you're in the mood! Inside: Nice casual vibe inside. It's clean, but the space can feel a bit tight, especially during busy times. The night we went, it was pretty packed and very family friendly, so if you're going with a larger group, just keep in mind seating may be a little snug. They do have outdoor seating, which is a great option for extra space, but unfortunately it was raining when we visited. Service: Service was good overall. It's not traditional table service. You order at the counter, then they call your name and bring your food out. The staff member at the counter was very friendly and accommodating though. She checked on us multiple times to ensure we had enough seating, space at our table, and while waiting for our orders. Pricing: If you're expecting typical chain pizza prices, this isn't that. Postiano leans more toward authentic style pizza, so the pricing is a bit higher. That said, the portions are generous and great for sharing, and the ingredients taste very fresh, so you can definitely taste the quality. Food & Drinks: Now for the highlight, the food! Everything we ordered was fresh and flavorful, as mentioned before. I got the Bianca, but originally wanted to add pepperoni to my pizza, but they were out, which was a little surprising for a Friday night. The server recommended spicy salami as a substitute, and I'm so glad I trusted her, because it was delicious with just the right amount of spice. I think they note that their crust is charred, which I don't mind, but parts of ours were slightly more burnt than expected. Thankfully, it didn't ruin the whole pizza, and overall it was still really good. Our group tried a few different options: one person ordered a Margherita, also added salami, simple but very well done. Another got the Liguria, swapped marinara for pesto, and added spicy salami. Hands down, that one was the favorite of the table. Don't get me wrong, I would eat either of the three on any given day lol, but that one definitely stood out. They also serve gelato, which is a nice bonus. I didn't get any myself, but my friend did, and she couldn't stop talking about how good it was, so that's definitely something I'll be trying next time. I've been wanting to check out Postino Napoletana Pizza since I saw they were coming, and I finally made it in for a nice girls night out dinner. They're located right across the street from the Silver Comet Trail, which is a really nice area. I love that the atmosphere is casual and relaxed. They have a number of different pizza options and the ingredients tasted fresh. I decided to get the Pomodorini and added spicy salami since they were out of pepperoni. This was actually my first time trying salami, but one of the workers told me it was very similar to pepperoni, so I took a chance and it ended up being really good. My friend also added spicy salami to her pizza as well and liked it. My friend ordered the Liguria but with marinara instead of pesto, and honestly I think I liked that one a little better than the pizza I ordered. All of my friends enjoyed their pizzas. I also got a drink from the bar -- the pomegranate margarita -- and it was pretty good. My sister got the strawberry mule cocktail and she said it was just alright and a little too sweet for her. My friends tried the gelato and sampled a few flavors before choosing one and said it was really good. I contemplated getting some gelato as it's similar to ice cream and I love ice cream so I did end up trying a few flavors but nothing at the time really stood out to me. I like that they have gelato because it's a nice way to end the meal. I've seen some people complain about the price, but I personally didn't think it was bad. Typically you're sharing pizzas with others, so you can split the price if you all like the same kind. After driving by for the past several months, we finally decided to stop by Positanos and get a pie. We decided to dine in on a Friday night and it was super busy. I would say that this restaurant is good for families couples or coworkers. It's really all inclusive. They also have a private lot where there's plenty of parking. The weather was nice so we initially opted to sit outside, however, they had recently rained and a lot of the seating was wet. In addition the bugs were bugging. We ended up moving to indoor seating and as another user said it is all self serve rather than having staff wait at your table. Wasn't expecting that, but it is not a negative by any means. We got a pie and some drinks. I have to be honest with you. There was nothing really special about the pizza. I've seen others raving about it, but we haven't been back since the summer so I would say they rate about average in quality. It is a nice vibe so I would definitely go for that when it's warmer out, but if it's just to have pizza, probably not. read more

You self service your own plates, cutlery, and usual pizza toppings like crushed red pepper and parm from large jars - rather than having individual shakers at each table. The pizzas and salads are large and shareable. We opted the share the Gorgonzola salad and Bianca pizza. The salad was good, however, I noticed that some of the spring lettuce was wilted and old, so I started to pick at it closer as I ate. Then I noticed a pair of large fangs poking out. The staff was just as surprised by the weird bug (I have no idea what it was) and refunded the salad. We ordered the caprese instead - which was on the house and flavorful. The pizza was good - nice tasty crust. I would def try a different kind. I'd come again, but not for the salad. I'd give this place 10 stars if I could. We travel to Italy on average twice a year, and for a good hour this evening we felt like we were back in Europe enjoying the heavenly flavors of authentic pizza napoletana. The dough is perfect, the ingredients are fresh and so incredibly flavorful. The wood fired oven, which is hard to find, gives the pizza that smoky crispy flavor that cannot be replicated in an electric oven. Highly recommend, the little taste of Italy right off the Silver Comet trail. Honorable mention: the gelato is a must. First it's not your typical American restaurant you order when you come in and they bring it to your table. Order your drinks at the bar and they bring them to you. You get your condiments, silverware and plates yourself. I personally sit at the bar it's full service and the service is fantastic. The pizza is wonderful but it is pricey. No pasta at all just appetizers, salad and pizza. I can actually walk to the restaurant in less than 5 minutes so it's convenient for me. read more

Super frustrated and disappointed. Drove 30 minutes because a fellow gluten free friend highly recommended Positano's. The one in Peachtree City but the Mabelton location is closer. Well we got there and were told to take menus, pick a table and come back up to order. So we did. When we go to order I ask for Gluten Free and am told 'Oh we don't have gluten free'. I was like 'huh? 'And pointed to where it says that on the menu. Then she says 'oh we don't have any tonight' and explains that they only make so much and they are out for tonight. To start the pizza and food were really good. The drinks were just okay, very light pours. The live music was nice but to have the door open letting the air out and allowing bugs in didn't understand the concept. If people want the live music, I feel they should just open the door to go out. You have to place your order before sitting and then if you want an alcoholic beverage, you have to go to a fully seated bar to order it, and only serving bottles of coke products (no possible refills). Not sure what the servers are there for because they only removed the pizza pan. Very limited parking as well, had to park across the street. First off, great addition to Mableton. Not too many sit down eateries here with a nice vibe. Positano's is right off of the Silver comet trail which is convenient for any bikers/runners wanting to grab a bite. They have both indoor and outdoor/patio seating. They also have a full service bar. Pizza was good, albeit their pizza sauce could use more flavor/seasoning. I got a mini charcuterie board which was actually really good, and olives were added to it per the bartender suggestion. There is a gelato bar there which is cool. My waitress/bartender was very sweet and attentive. Drinks were pretty good. The restaurant has a sleek look inside, prices are on the higher side for Mableton but not bad. What a wonderful new gem for Mableton! Great location right off the Floyd Road Mableton, GA Silver Comet Trail. Amazing outdoor seating, with additional parking across the street if needed. Bar area is very substantial with a walk-up bar for those just wanting to pop in and order. Staff were friendly and attentive. Food was delicious, little on the pricey side for pizza; great pizza, bruschetta could have used a little more seasoning as the tomatoes were bland. It took a while for our food to come out. Great selection of food, full bar and delicious pizza. Parking isn't great but on a pickle you can park across the street at the Floyd Trail Head. Outside seating also available and you have access to the bar from there too. Seating is not by waiter, just pick where you want to sit and order at the cashier. The bar of course you have to order but it has plenty of seating there too. Came in and place was packed so I had to park across the street. Ordered right away and at the bar got a drink quickly. They've got at least two IPA's in draft for those with a mature palette . A bunch of bottle and can beer options too. Definitely need to check it out. read more

This place is selling 13/14 inch pizzas as 16 inch pizzas and for $35. They're charging $4.50 for additional toppings and they don't sell any pizzas unless they're gluten free as 12inch pizzas... Exterior They are located right across the street from one of my favorite barbecue joints (TDT BBQ inside the gas station - lol). Pretty small, tight parking lot. We visited on a Saturday and there were no parking spots left. Literally. People were parking at adjacent businesses. And when we did finally park, we we were able to witness a near accident when a behemoth truck was trying to back out of existing spot near the door - without enough clearance. We also saw someone nearly get hit trying to dash across the street after having parked at the gas station. Be careful. Interior LOUD. We stood at the cashier station trying to place an order and we had to shout to be heard. Lol. Price / Value Prices seem comparable to other place like this - though I'm not sure how well they'll do in this demographic. I always worry a little when I see businesses pop up like this so close to the suburbs. Took approximately 15 minutes to get dressing on the side and I never received the bread despite asking twice. The table next to us did receive the bread with their salad. I stopped in on a mid-week afternoon 3 weeks ago. They have a different way of doing things. You walk in, the menus and register are immediately to your left. You are expected to order right there. This can create a logjam before you get 3 feet inside the door. The cheapest pizza on the menu was a Margarita for $24. They make Napolitano style pizza, which is ultra thin, burned/crisped along the outside crust and is made from the highest quality ingredients. My pizza was pale, undercooked, and there were only a few small slivers of fresh basil. The dough was light and a beautiful thing to eat. They had been open for over a month so they should have worked out the kinks by now. The girls at the register seemed nervous when they handed me the pizza. I saw the boss walk out the side door on the way out and he didn't look happy. More on him in my update. The northwest suburbs continue to add small gems every few months, Positano's is one example. Situated on Floyd Road in Mableton, just south of the crossing of the Silver Comet Trail sits the newly renovated space that is Positano's. The great news for folks who love to spend time on the Silver Comet is how easy it is to get to Positano's - a quick ride from Dallas or even Rockmart. Once the connecting trail to the beltline is finished in the next couple of months, folks in town have no excuse not to exit the perimeter for some world class pizza. Their pizza is all prepared to order, with exceptionally fresh and often imported ingredients. These guys are using some of the best they can get their hands on including high quality flour (something that many pizza joints around town skimp on). They have two huge wood fired pizza ovens to cook your pizza in a true Neapolitan method of super hot and super fast. It's clear that they take time with their dough and either let it ferment for 3-4 days, or are using a Biga or Polish method. In any case, that makes a tremendous difference in how the crust tastes. Yes, pizza crust should taste like something. This combination of super quality ingredients, on a high quality dough that is made correctly creates pizza magic. There are eleven pre set pizzas on their menu that should satisfy just about any palette. You can add additional items for an up charge, such as sausage, bresola, artichokes and more. Several Calzones are on tap as well as a half dozen yummy salads of various types. A multitude of dessert options to cure the sweet tooth - oh and don't forget the Gelato case which has something like 20 locally made flavors available. Ask for a sample! Went in for lunch last week. Parking was easy during lunchtime but I've heard from some that evenings and weekends can be a bit trickier. Food is ordered at the stand as soon as you walk in, and your food is delivered to you at your table. Right now they call your. name out, a process that needs some refinement. Alternatively, take one of the 20 seats at the well appointed fully stocked bar and enjoy a Negroni, draft beer, glass of wine or a mocktail. Got your fuzzy friend with you? No probem! Grab one of the many tables in the patio behind the restaurant. Ordered the Margherita, and added Italian sausage to it, and then grabbed a seat. There were about 20 folks there for lunch, my pizza was out of the kitchen and on my table in about 8 minutes. The pizza was cooked to perfection. The crust was airy, light, yet had structure and crispness. The undercarriage as a certain online pizza review celebrity likes to call it was perfectly executed - nicely leoparded and crisp without being hard. The pizza overall was fabulous... the star of the show was the fresh mozzarella they used which was creamy, just a bit salty, and had wonderful flavor. And the basil. I don't know what corner dealer they've hooked up with to get their leaf from, but this was some of the best tasting (and smelling) basil I've encountered in Atlanta. I've already seen the online chatter from many complaining about the prices. Folks. This is NOT Mellow Mushroom, Johnny's, Domino's, Fellini's or any of those chain average pizza places that use commodity ingredients and cut corners in favor of simplicity in the kitchen and low costs. This is a premium product, with premium ingredients, cooked with skill by people who understand how to manage the persnickiteyness of a wood fired pizza oven. You're going to pay more. But in return, you're getting an excellent product. Overall - get your 'za fix on at this place. They can stand shoulder to shoulder (if not above) some of the Neapolitan heavyweights in Atlanta (looking at you Varasano for example). Hop on your bike and make it a Saturday afternoon destination for the family. Staff was warm and welcoming, although still going through some of their learning and growing pains, so give them some grace. Next, we waited 50 minutes for a to go order while we sat at the kitchen stools watching everyone else get their food before us only to have to ask wtf?
