I purchased a groupon with Angel and made an appt. For a few days later. Upon arrival I found out someone else also had an appt at the same time with Angel as well. I waited 20 minutes and then was informed that Angel had a family emergency and wouldn't be in that day. Great, I said. I have a dinner date tonight and needed my hair done. Nobody else would honor my groupon. Then I was told Angel wouldn't be working there anymore after that day. What???? What about my groupon??? I was told I could call and get my money back, which I did. I have to admit groupon was terrific and extremely helpful!!! They took immediate care of the situation!! I was very pleased. This salon doesn't deserve to be in business. Terrible customer service and very unprofessional!!!! Do not go there!!!! I do highly recommend forever young hair salon in fort mill!!! BEWARE!!! BEWARE!!! BEWARE !!! DO GOOGLE SEARCH ON SALON BEFORE USING THEM!!!! BEWARE GETTING AN APPOINTMENT IS IMPOSSIBLE BECAUSE OF FAILURE TO RETURN CALLS TO SET UP APPT. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE BY STAFF, OFFER GROUPONS & FAILS TO HAVE CALLS RETURNED FOR APPOINTMENTS!!! I bought a groupon with Penny Wheeler, called in March 2014 about 8 times with NO response at all, over a few days period of time. I called Salon Direct & left message, got text finally from Penny Wheeler asking when I wanted to come. First I am not a huge texter, BUT NOT professional at all! I can understand possibly if Penny Wheeler were a teenager, however, she is older woman and should realize first it is NOT PROFESSIONAL, AND it sure is not a good way to introduce yourself as a professional. Never asked what I wanted done until about 3 texts later, just back & forth on time/date etc., Ended up in March nothing worked for her, so I had to leave town & say would get done later. Fast forward to this week, tried calling Penny at beginning of week, 5 or 6 times a day, (mainly because recorder would only take name & first couple of numbers of phone number (so had to leave # in 3 calls) This was since Monday daily. NOTHING, no text, no phone call back. Finally, again & it said voice mailbox full. I called and got refund on groupon, however, time wasted attempting to get an appointment. I did call Penny and tell her why and gave her a couple of tips, DO NOT introduce yourself via text (especially when you do not know if person is a texter). IF my dentist texted me for appointment I would be mortified. (unless it was just a quick reminder of appt.) NOT to introduce himself & ask when I could come. She said, she had been busy with customers, my feeling IF you are THAT busy, why in the world run groupons??? They are still running, so must not be overwhelmed or she would discontinue running them, or limit how many groupon sells to clients she can take. I feel that in 5 days of calls (just this late round of calls) surely I could get a return call, NOTE a return call, NOT an appointment. Also, if she does not have time to return my calls, how much time does she have to do my hair??? Just my thought, I am sure salon is nice. However, IF you can't get a call back for an appointment, does not matter how good the photos look, does it? This is a reflection of the POSH PINEAPPLE, as that is the name I will remember, months from how I probably will not remember Penny at Posh Pineapple I will remember salon name, so gives them all a bad name, unfortunately. This review is for Peggy, not necessarily for the whole salon except for where it applies. Back in May I purchased a groupon and called Peggy right away to schedule an appointment. I called her and left a message (clearly it was her cell phone and not Posh Pinapple Salon), a week and a half later I still had not heard back from her so I called again and did not get an answer. Finally I texted her as her voice mail said I could do and was able to make an appointment that way. We had one scheduled, but I had to reschedule due to needing to go out of town (once again, wouldn't answer her phone but would schedule only through texting). The new date arrives and I was having trouble finding the location since its in a back of another building and she again would not answer or text when I needed help. I finally find it, thankful that I was even on time! I sit down and wait with my three young kids (infant up to 6 years old)...and no one in the salon even acknowledges our presence. No "Welcome!" No "Who are you here to see?" until 30 minutes later Peggy asks who I am waiting for, I tell her, and tells me its her and she is running late and it should be another 15 minutes. I figure my kids and I have been patiently waiting for 30 minutes, we can wait another 15. While we are waiting a woman comes in (also unaddressed by staff so I assumed she was waiting for another stylist) and sits beside us. Peggy gets done with her client and calls the lady beside me to her chair to get her hair done. Peggy then finally realizes that there is an issue and looks on her calender to see that she didn't even write down our appointment. So I have now waited 45 minutes for no reason...and the woman who has been there 5 minutes gets to go ahead and I have to reschedule for Peggy's mistake. Do you KNOW how hard it is to keep an infant, a 2 year old, and 6 year old still, quiet, and sharing for 45 minutes?! I am extremely upset by her lack of organization, communication, and professionalism that I have encountered even in trying to make the appointment. Her stylist license also was not on display. I will not be going back for my rescheduled appointment. I normally don't write bad reviews, but I felt the repeated issues and the resulting outcome needed to be shared so others could avoid potential issues as well. read more

I can only speak for Kris-Ann at Posh Pineapple. She was kind enough to see me at the last minute for a color emergency. I did not realize that she is a "master colorist" when I made the appointment and was not disappointed. She listened carefully to what was needed and corrected the at-home coloring mistake.
