I drove to Columbia on the recommendation of a colleague. When I arrived, the breeder was not yet…read morethere and the building was closed. I waited only a couple of minutes and the breeder arrived. She got right to work, and I described how I wanted my hair done. I asked for knotless braids and a style that I would be able to put up in the barn. The breeder assured me that that was what she was going to do. There was a language barrier, so I am not sure that the breeder actually did understand how I wanted my hair. After about four hours, my hair was very neatly and beautifully braided, but nowhere near the knotless braids style i asked for. I had also asked at my braids not be too tight as I am an older woman and tight braids are extremely painful to me. The braids were so tight that I had a headache, and had to try various home remedies to loosen the braids up so I could even lay down and go to sleep. I kept the braids in for about three weeks. At no point was I able to even lift the braids up, let alone put them in a bun. Although the style was neat and well executed, it was not what I wanted or asked for.

Parking is on the street but also in the back. It's an old restored house. I was greeted by Alex who also did my facial. We walked to the room and I laid down. She asked what area should she focus on and I told her. The facial was very relaxing and she also did some extractions which I love!! She was making sure I was ok when she was doing it and I thought that was nice. Every mask she put on me, she told me what it was and what it was for. And the end of the facial she gave me a hand massage which was awesome! Plus, she dabbed something on my lips and when I put it together it felt like a great lip balm! Definitely worth the price!

My 18 year-old daughter wanted an all over hair dye as her Christmas gift. We first attempted to do…read moreit the week after Christmas. We had taken her to Ulta, as I didn't really know of someone to do it off hand, and Ulta should know what they are doing, right? We explained what we wanted, and the stylist let us know that it would probably be a long process because my daughter has very dark hair. That was fine. I left her there. She called not long after to tell me that the stylist told her she couldn't do what my daughter wanted in one visit after all. She wanted to start and then have my daughter come back for another visit later. This didn't sound right to me, but I agreed. What my daughter ended up with- after wanting all over blue hair- was green highlights in her hair. They weren't very well done, and my husband, who picked her up, was charged double the amount that we were told it would be. My daughter was devastated- to say the least. We started looking for a competent stylist who came recommended and could get her hair the way she wanted it. Caleb at Twisted Lemon was highly recommended, so we went to see him. He took time to look at what my daughter's hair looked like. He told us exactly what he would do to fix it. He gave us a quote for the price. And then we made an appointment. My daughter had her visit to Caleb this week. And we are thoroughly impressed. He took so much time with her- much more than he had expected , once he actually began to work. He discovered that the Ulta stylist had done some crazy things that really messed up the color of her hair, things he couldn't believe a professional stylist would do. He spent all afternoon and then had my daughter come back after her night class at Winthrop to finish up. Her hair looks beautiful! Even after all that time, he charged us what he said he would. He is extremely talented and professional. He put my daughter at ease and did an amazing job. We can highly recommend him!
