I went to Posh 2 times - the first time I tried on some dresses, but I wasn't quite sure of my style yet so I took some time to think about it and then I came back a second time and found my dress! Olyvia was incredibly kind and patient. Not once did I feel rushed. I love how the area to try on dresses is a really big room - it does not feel cramped but love that it's still your own area. Before going to posh, I had been to two other bridal boutiques and posh was my favorite one because of Olyvias professionalism, the variety of dress styles and their transparency about pricing. Brides, please read this before you make the same mistake I did. This shop blatantly misled me just to make a sale. They promised me a custom gown -- the bodice of one dress with the skirt of another by the same designer. That was the only reason I committed to this particular dress. When the dress came in, it was completely wrong. Instead of taking responsibility, they denied ever saying it was possible and repeatedly told me it was my "misunderstanding." Let me be clear: this was not a misunderstanding. This was a lie to get my money. When I pushed for a resolution, I was stonewalled, denied access to the owner, and treated with open disrespect. I've never experienced such unprofessionalism, dishonesty, and cruelty from women in a customer service role. Your wedding dress should be exciting, joyful, and special. This shop turned mine into a nightmare and now I'm left with a dress I hate and having to start over somewhere else. I had the most amazing experience at Posh Bridal and working with Olyvia! She understood exactly what I was looking for and helped me feel comfortable throughout the whole process. One thing I really appreciated was that she took note of my likes and dislikes with each dress and was able to make educated recommendations about other dresses to try on. She also helped me manage the large group I took with me by allowing me time to process my own feelings about each dress even with all of the reactions my party was giving at the same time, making the process less overwhelming. This review is long over due, but I loved my experience at Posh Bridal. I came to posh bridal (pre-Covid) fully expecting to not buy a dress since it was my first time, I didn't even bring my wallet. I had to call my fiancé to read my credit card number to me over the phone because I did end up saying yes to the dress on the same day! Kim was a great consultant. I showed her my Pinterest and she did her thing with pulling dresses with similar style, if not the same dress from my board. She was patient with me and my entourage, pulling dresses that they suggested just to try on even if it wasn't what I had in mind. She knew what dresses would flatter my body type, too. It's always weird getting almost naked and having a stranger put a dress on you but she made me feel absolutely comfortable, asking me about my fiancé, how we met, or wedding details etc. I wanted a gown with sleeves, and even though there weren't any with sleeves that I loved she told me I could always have a dress customized to add sleeves, and even had some sleeves on hand that I could put on to see how it would look with the gown I was trying on. The in house seamstress (I forgot her name!) was amazing as well! I gave her a photo of the sleeves that were my inspiration and she did her magic. I absolutely LOVE how my gown turned out. This review is long overdue. I had the pleasure of finding my dress at Posh thanks to the amazing Olyvia. Olyvia made the experience so seamless, stress free, fun, and educational. This was the very first time I had ever looked at wedding dresses after only being engaged for a few months my goal was just to "look and get an idea". The look I was going for was just not working for me and Olyvia was so incredible to listen to all the things I liked and didn't like and found the PERFECT dress for me. It was nothing I would have ever thought I wanted but after trying on countless dresses she narrowed it down and we were able to say YES to the dress on my first dress shopping experience. I cannot thank Olyvia enough for her professionalism and making sure my experience as well as my mom, and my virtual maid of honor was one for the books. Posh bridal was my first stop for dress shopping and met every expectation! I had found a dress online that I couldn't stop thinking about, but I could not find a local bridal shop that had the dress for me to try. Finally I reached out to posh which is about an hour away from me and I was so excited when they said they had it in store. Setting up an appointment was very simple. I submitted an appointment request and got a reply call within the hour. They do charge a $35 fee over the phone when you make your appointment, but you get it back if you purchase a dress during that appointment. When I arrived I was immediately greeted by Olyvia, my consultant. Although I arrived 15 minutes early, she actually took me back as soon as I got there which was nice. I had submitted a questionnaire prior to my appointment about what style dress I was looking for and she chose a few dresses based off that and also pulled the dress I asked about for me to try. I tried that dress first and immediately knew it was the one! I did end up trying all the other dresses she pulled just incase and they were all gorgeous. Olyvia was very kind and assisted me with trying on each dress while never making me uncomfortable at all. When it was time to say "YES" she made sure to take the moment and really make it special for me and my mom. She even took the time to take as many pictures as I wanted. Besides the amazing service, the decor is also gorgeous and sets the prettiest vibes for trying on wedding gowns. Checkout was quick and easy and I also got a nice discount for purchasing on my first appointment. Posh bridal was amazing! The shop itself is beautiful, adorably decorated with fall and Halloween decor. They had large comfortable couches for guest and lots of room to change and move around while trying on dresses. I had Olyvia as my consultant. I can't say enough wonderful things about her!! She really her knew stuff about the dresses and what could be changed and all the details that could be adjusted. I basically went in with an idea of what I wanted and she was honest and stated "we don't have that, but we can make it". She was able to adjust the dress to how I'd like it to be. It was the first dress I tried on at that shop and nothing else compared. Olyvia was not pushy and gave me plenty of time to make a decision. I ultimately made the decision to purchase a dress from them, and could be more excited! I got my beautiful wedding dress from here sadly. The customer service is terrible and they are really rude. I personally don't believe that like black people from how rude they are to me but the other customers they are always nice. Today they were giving out cupcakes to all the people at their appointments. But when it was time for me to leave they never offered anything to me or my guest. I had a 4:00 pm appointment and had to wait 30 mins to be seen, meanwhile if I have been 15 mins late they would've canceled my appointment. Today when I was trying on my dress, I brought a head piece, that I wanted to try on with my dress. And the first comment the worker said was that oh that must've been from Amazon for 19.99, meanwhile it was something that paid way over that price for. I personally wish that I would've found my dress somewhere else that has workers that are actually nice to the customers that are spending thousands of dollars. read more

OK, let me start off by saying I was terrified to come here after I had read these reviews AFTER I booked my appointment. Went in with an open mind and was blown away with the patience and service! Zero idea what I wanted in a dress, I probably tried on upwards of 25 dresses. All GORGEOUS gowns by the way, which made the choice even harder. Not once was an annoyed glance or comment thrown to even my most annoying complaints. Regret buying my dress here & being ripped off for tailoring. Was told that in-house tailoring (basic hemming & adding bustle) would cost $300-$400. Ended up being charged double the amount, only to see at my final fitting that the dress had barely been altered and was loose in all the wrong places. Took it to my local tailor, who corrected it for only $100. Wish I had just taken my dress to my local tailor to begin with rather than wasting $700 at Posh Bridal. Never have I been treated so rudely by staff during each fitting; I'm surprised the quality of service has not improved after years of poor reviews here noting the terrible customer service and experience. I bought my dress and veil and did alterations at Posh Bridal for my April 2024. I worked with Olyvia and she was wonderful! She did a great job of pulling dresses in styles that I wanted, but also pulling dresses in styles she thought I'd like and look good in as well to push me outside of my comfort zone. She also made me feel very comfortable while trying on all of the dresses! I ended up finding my dress that day and they were able to offer a better price on the same dress than other local bridal boutiques I went to. I also did my alterations at Posh Bridal and again, the seamstress made me feel very comfortable during the fittings and the alternations were very reasonably priced compared to other local boutiques and seamstresses. With the alterations, the dress fit perfectly and I felt beautiful on my wedding day. It was well worth all the driving back and forth from Fairfax County to Frederick and I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat! read more

I made an appointment here in December to try on wedding gowns. This was the first place I encountered that charged a booking fee, which I was not informed was non refundable over the phone. I ended up finding my dress elsewhere the very next day and canceled my appointment 5 days beforehand. If you aren't sure you want to buy from this store, I'd skip this one altogether and stick to boutiques that welcome their brides-to-be or have clear policies with their booking fees. read more

I made an appointment at Posh Bridal back in November 2021 and it was such a great experience! The atmosphere is beautiful and the salon is spacious. The staff I interacted with were friendly and welcoming. Lindsay was a pleasure to work with, really understood the style and vibe I was going for and I did say yes to the dress on my first visit! I had went dress shopping two times prior and was looking for specific dresses and when I called the other stores I was informed they had them and when I arrived was disappointed to find out they did not, however Posh Bridal did and I was excited about going based on that alone. On their site, it does say at this time anyone under the age of 15 is not permitted in the salon, but my niece is a HUGE part of my life and this moment would not have been the same without her and I was glad they allowed her to attend. I also was unsure if I was buying my dress that day, but once it was on, I knew that was it. Unfortunately I forgot my card at home but I was able to run home and call back with the information. I also appreciated that you are offered a discount (varies by designer I believe) if you purchase your gown on your first visit, which I definitely took advantage of! I will say the dress was priced a bit higher than expected, Kleinfeld definitely sells it lower, so I was slightly disappointed about that, however it is still my dream dress, which was already difficult to find in a store, and with the discount it was still much lower than I intended on spending. I will say the only issue I had was calling the store. No one really seems to tend to the phones. Booking online was a bit hard to find but even so a call to the store is needed regardless and no one really answers the phones. I had to call a few times and leave a voicemail. Also, due to COVID, upon arrival there is a sign on the door that says to call and someone will come get you. No one answered my calls, but the door happened to be unlocked so I was able to get in with no issues. Overall it was a great experience. read more

I've been to Posh on three separate occasions... once for a silhouette fitting (highly recommend that appointment to get a feel for what you like!), once to help my sister find her wedding dress, and just this past weekend to help me find my own dress after browsing since my silhouette appointment. I'm so indecisive, but I know I found the one! Lori was my consultant, and I cannot recommend her enough. She was so kind, and knew exactly what kind of dresses to pull for me based on what I liked, disliked, and what type of feel I was going for. I know my fiancee will be blown away when we get married in May! The salon is fantastic itself - very clean, brightly lit, and all of the staff are helpful and kind. Bonus points for the dressing rooms... they were definitely large enough to host my entourage of ladies! read more

I have to agree with other reviews that mention the staff's poor attitudes. They certainly do give off the vibe that they are being inconvenienced by your presence. When scheduling appointments for alterations, they'll look at you like it's insane to have a full-time job that won't allow you to make an appointment at 2 pm on a weekday. They'll huff and puff when you ask if you can come in on a weekend. Worst of all, when things don't go according to plan, they show no mercy. They had my friend in tears after aggressively insisting for 40 minutes that she didn't abide by the terms of her contract. Turns out, they were the ones reading the contract incorrectly. Please save yourself the trouble and purchase your dress from another shop. No place should have a bride in tears. read more

One of my best friends bought her wedding dress from Posh and I was lucky enough to be with her when she went shopping. They have a great collection of gorgeous dresses! So when I was ready to go shopping for my wedding dress I knew I wanted to stop at Posh. And it was the only stop I made because I found my dress! They helped me try on a lot of different styles (even though I thought I knew the style I wanted, I had never tried on a dress before so I wanted to try on different styles to be sure). Once I narrowed down the style, they helped me try the top two on a couple times and I just fell in love with this dress (Sybil by Maggie Sottero). I didn't love the color (antique ivory) right off the bat. But fortunately the seamstress was nearby and offered the idea of adding a second layer of champagne tulle under the lace layer. I moved to San Francisco, so finding someone to add that layer proved to be interesting, but the idea was perfect. Great service, beautiful dresses and easy to work with. read more

I had an absolutely WONDERFUL experience at Posh Bridal. I was at my wits end trying to find a mother of the bride dress and luckily I found Posh bridal. it was an hour away but well worth it! I thought I found a dress online that was my dream dress so I called Posh bridal to see if they had it in stock . They did so I booked an appointment. The store is lovely with tons of dresses in addition to any accent jewelry you would need. The staff was knowledgeable , professional and extremely helpful! The dress I saw online was horrible for me in person. My consultant quickly pulled other options she thought would be flattering. She was NOT pushy at all. I found the one! I had an awful experience here. The consultants here put a TON of pressure on you to make a sale. They do not care about you, your wedding, or experience, as they make no effort to get to know you and craft a personalized experience. What they WILL do instead is remind you of their 10% discount with every. single. dress. you try on, and pressure you into making a decision by trying to create a fear that you will lose the discount. My consultant also rushed me in and out of every single dress and was incredibly rude to my family. I found a dress that I loved here but I am going out of my way to purchase it a different shop where I had a better experience because these ladies were so rude (yes--I am foregoing the discount and paying more money for the same dress because I hated this place so much). I rated them solely on their customer service. For any new bride, shopping for your wedding dress can be extremely overwhelming. Unless you did extensive research prior to your first salon, you have no idea what you really want and you usually change your mind. I went to Posh Bridal after only being to one other bridal salon with high hopes and little expectations - trying to keep an open mind. Other than asking for my budget, they did not ask me a thing. They did not ask me about my style, my venue, my ceremony, my preferences - literally nothing. The associate asked me to start picking through dresses and pulling ones that I liked, except each one I pulled was over my budget (how was I supposed to know that?!). After 10 minutes of little talking, I just decided to tell Lori/Laurie about everything to help her pull dresses. Finally, we are in the room with a handful of dresses that I was not sure about, to be honest. One after one, she kept pushing and I could tell she was getting frustrated. I asked if I could pair veils with the one's that I thought I wanted and she said they do that at the end with your top two favorites. I was not a fan of that. I wasn't sure if I would like the "final dress" that we selected in a year, let alone a month, but it was the best one that I had saw that day. I told her and the shop owner that I would need to think about it. They both quickly jumped in to try and "make the sale." They told me that if I thought too much about it then I would change my mind.... I wanted to reply "Then it wasn't meant to be." I walked back into my room to change and the tension rose even higher. As soon as they realized that I would not be purchasing today, they were completely turned off and said next to nothing. My mom and I both left that salon feeling disrespected and uncomfortable. I am not an impulse buyer and buying your wedding gown should be thoughtful. If I do decide to purchase that dress, I will give my service to another salon with better customer service. read more
