Visited Posers specifically as I was interested in George Cox footwear, which is a UK brand that has very limited US retail partners this being tho s only one in Los Angeles you can see the shoes/try on etc. I walked in and was instantly greeted, I advised I was looking for George Cox and was made aware of the stores locations I could find them and was offered sizes shortly after. I was pretty intentional Bout what I needed having done some pre-searching and converting via the George Coz website online. I purchased 2 pairs of shoes which I was VERY excited by considering I almost never get to leave a store with shoes as I wear a men's US 7 which if even offered at all more than likely is online only for most footwear brands I engage with Posers has a HUGE selection of footwear so I understand why it took a few minutes to pull my sizes from back of house. As I was waiting for my shoes I was able to converse and engage with the shop owner who truly made my experience one where I felt appreciated, valued, and taken care of. The shop owner was so generous as to gift me a pair of sunglasses and pair of socks, which she didn't have to do but I can tell was happy to do so because she prioritized guest experience and understands the impact today protects loyalty and promotes returning business and rapport. Amazing Fred Perry polo purchase! I bought the coolest and most unique Fred. They call it "Cable" style polo. I'm usually hesitant to buy online since the size I end up getting is either too big or too small. I am 5'10" and weight 165 lbs. I got the medium size and it fits me like a glove. Looks really sweet in restaurant settings but is great for punk/bar/hangout settings of course too. Gorgeous detailing and design. My new favorite! Fast shipping and quality packaging. Worst business ever. Believe all the negative reviews you read and hear. They are a joke. If you buy from them and they make a mistake, prepare to have a difficult time getting your money back, so definitely purchase with buyer's protection and/or a credit card. Poor quality, bad attitudes, bad business and untrustworthy. They ignore customers after promising to get back to them. Fortunately, I had buyer's protection and didn't lose the $600 I spent with them. Shame on them. Edited after their response: I've noticed that this business posts a reply to negative reviews they receive- it's the same generic response over years of these negative reviews. It's a similar response to reviews on other sites, as well. Instead of replying with your generic response, why not actually take care of the problem since you have a lot of negative reviews? You were supposed to return the phone call you promised to return to me, but you ignored my phone calls and emails after I didn't get that call, which is why I had to use buyer's protection. It was a hassle and I had to wait slightly longer to receive my money, but I knew it wouldn't be an issue to receive it because it was a joke. Either the company was playing games or trying to make life harder because they couldn't actually believe they'd get their merchandise back AND get to keep my money, too! It's called quality control- 1) check that the sizes match the box and order before sending them out, 2) ship $300 shoes in shoeboxes wrapped in protective packaging, not just a plastic bag, and without stains and don't blame your bad packing on UPS- ex. Shane at Posers believes that if you ship a shoebox in a thin, tight plastic mailing bag from the west coast to the east coast without any padding or protection, it's the fault of the shipping company when it comes destroyed and not the Poser who ships it, 3) Posers need to learn a few words... they go like this... "I am sorry"...you apologize and, after you receive both of your mistake items back, refund the customer's money or, at the very least, communicate with the customer. They don't care about their customers and, therefore, they don't care about their business... they very much embody the name of their business. The only thing this company has done correctly is chosen a spot on name for themselves. read more

This review is for the Dr Martens side of the store only. This place is a treasure trove for Docs fans. There is a huge selection of older and discontinued styles, in limited sizes. I have a more uncommon shoe size and there were lots for me. I left with a beautiful pair of shoes that I'm ecstatic about!! I know Posers has been around for years and I appreciate their contributions to subcultures but man oh man, what an awful way to run a business. I'm giving them two stars because they tend to have stuff that's discontinued or hard to find, but buying from them - particularly online during a pandemic - is a nightmare. They don't update their online inventory when they're out of stock on some items. That means that they allow you to place orders on items they don't actually have. And when they don't have the item in stock, they may or may not attempt to call you to let you know but if they don't hear from you, instead of just cancelling your order they let it sit until you contact them! Cool cool. I placed an online order on Monday 4/19. Contacted them on the same day to make sure they had the item in stock because I ordered something that I knew was pretty hard to find. I was told that my item was in stock and it would be shipped out Tuesday. I missed a call from them on Tuesday but called them back on Thursday and they said, "the person you last spoke to was confused, we don't have your item in stock in that size." I asked them to send me a different size and was assured my item would be sent out Friday. It's Sunday, and UPS (which I paid extra for three day shipping) is showing my package has just been dropped off today, 4/25. The shipping label was only created yesterday. I understand that running a business during these times is tough, but it's not that difficult to update your inventory so it reflects what you have in stock in order to avoid these problems. Save yourself the frustration and try to order elsewhere if you can. If not, expect to chase your order down. read more

Went here the other day with my friend. We walked into the Doc Marten section, confused at first. No one was there and we were kind of left to fend for ourselves; however, afterwards I kinda caught on to what was going on. There are like two sections adjacent to one another, one is for Docs and the other for everything else. There are not a lot of people working here, but the people who do work here are so kind and honestly so relatable and awesome. Jessica helped my friend get his first classic Docs and helped him with each style (for me, I already knew which style I needed). He tried on several different shoes, and she gave a quick rundown/feedback on each shoe. She made really nice conversation with customers that wasn't flat. She is very passionate about Docs, and it really is obvious (and I love it!). I bought my dream Docs here!! They have been out of stock online for well over a year, but it just so happens they had my exact colour I needed in my exact size!! I was so excited and happy, so I bought it. My friend also got some new Docs. In the Doc Marten section, we were primarily helped by someone named Jessica (if I remember correctly), and she was so cool!! She was so funny and friendly with us and everyone else in the store! I actually kind of love that people just walk in and try on shoes and the decoration is so cool- like I feel like I'm transported to a small British boutique or something. When we went to the main part of the store, everything kinda clicked for me. There aren't a lot of people on staff from what I can tell, but the people who are on staff are so nice. Jessica is literally stellar! In the main part, they have a lot of your classic like edgy spikey bracelets and some other stuff I didn't get the clearest look at, but it's so cool! We got rung up at the front by an older woman, and she was so nice! There was a problem with the WiFi being down or something, so it was a bit hard to check out, but I don't really mind! The only reason I couldn't give this shop a 5 star rating is because it kind of became obvious to me that they need some more help (especially when it comes to having people in both parts of the store). Jessica is so fantastic and motivated, but it's impossible for one person to run a store this large and this popular. The store carries unique and rare Doc Martens which is why a lot of people come, but I feel like if there were maybe one or two more motivated people who are passionate about Docs and just match the whole vibe in general, I feel like it would be a lot easier and smoother in general! I would give this 4.5 stars, but I can't since Yelp doesn't let me. I plan on coming back here in the future, and I absolutely love it here despite how hectic it can sometimes get when there are a lot of customers (but everyone is so nice like none of the customers were Karens and everyone was so chill I just adore it here). If you're looking for some Docs or some edgy accessories, DEFINITELY come by here!! I came to this place because they have a wide selection of doc martens, it's close to my house, and it has really great yelp reviews. I literally just got home from buying a pair of doc marten 10-eye 1490 boots. My friend asks me how much I paid and I said $155, $168 after tax. She then tells me that I got ripped off and pulls up the official doc martens website selling the same exact pair for only $130! And they offer free shipping! If I would have known this I would never have allowed this store to rip me off. I guess it's partially my fault for not doing my research before buying. Ughhh it's so frustrating though! They really ripped me off. The boots were originally priced at $169 on their shelf, then the guy said "I'll sell them to you for $155". I sincerely thanked him for knocking the price down a bit but it turns out he was gonna rip me off either way. Oh and of course they have a NO RETURN policy. I don't support unethical businesses, therefore I will not be returning here. Ps. To the owners reading this: was $25 really worth having an unhappy customer? So often buying rare, past year collab Docs involves buying from a random person on a resale app which is always a risk. This is a real business with a real storefront and real people working there. Living in Alaska, though, it became a headache to service my need for good music and fashion... Words escape me as to how truly wonderful and awe-inspired I felt after my experience--but I'll try... Jaffa (?) the owner was more than accommodating, handling multiple customers and my repeated questions, idiosyncrasies, and sizing issues (I'm 5'11", skinny/athletic and abhor the "baggy" trend--remember: Mod). My niece laughed as I dropped over a grand of my hard-earned taxpayer's money on treasure-after-treasure. I went back the next day before catching my flight, having to purchase a Perry carry-on for my second round of sartorial sensations. Simply, my fave clothing store in all of North America. If you're into Mod, original Skin, Suedehead, Northern Soul, Ska, or just want to up you gear selection from that A&F garbage, Posers is the only choice for Faces. read more

The selection of Fred Perry, Ben Sherman, and Dr Martens is just enormous! We purchased our Son's first Fred Perry here recently I was able to find a beautiful black lace Amy Whinehouse Fred Perry that was no longer being sold along with a polka dot A-line skirt Now when it comes to pricing I would say it definitely leans more on the $60++ I know that most of their selection can be purchased online but if you're looking for discontinued items Posers is your best bet. read more

I just came here yesterday and I wish I stumbled upon this place before going to palais de modes. Which is some stores down from here. I paid 160 for the red docs which I love. They're not the lowest low tops but the next up, whichever you'd want to call it. Guy that works there is ok. Not too pushy and he doesn't mind you trying a shitload of their shoes, but then I came to this shop posers. I purchased the hello kitty limited edition Mary Jane looking shoes by Dr. marten. Dope as hell. I'm sooooo in love with them and then I got the black on black Dr. martens the lowest high tops. These are limited editions as well. The black docs went for 130 and then the hello kitty docs were 159.99. When the lady added the total up including tax it was like 320 bucks. You can def haggle with the owner. She is sooooo super duper nice and fair and gave me the shoes for 280 out the door. They have the most selections of Dr. martens. Any size, color, and style to your liking. Way more than palais de mode. Customer service here is ten times better. Not saying the dude at the other place isn't nice its just way better here at posers.
