I had some time to kill before my ferry ride from Larena to Cebu (with a stopover in Tagbilaran). Portside Cafe was the closest spot and prices were reasonable so I decided to give it a shot.
I dropped in on a Wednesday afternoon (around 1:00pm). The place was busy, both inside and out, with their shaded covered picnic style tables. They were playing NBA on the TV screens.
The menu is a mix of Western and Filipino food; burgers, fries, pasta, combos, crowd favourites, meats (seafood, pork, beef and chicken), breakfast, platters to share and desserts. For drinks, there's coffee, frappe, shakes, juices and beer. Price range is 50 PHP to 190 PHP (excluding the platters). Super cheap.
- Special pancit guisado (120 PHP) - this is a dry noodle version of pancit that came with some chicken, red and green bell peppers, cabbage, celery and carrots. Really bland and boring.
Try your luck elsewhere if you're stuck near the Larena port. read more
