Oh Siquijor! I did circle around siquijor island twice. Ive search for the best food in the island and Baha Bar would be the easiest to find and live up to its high rating. Delicious Food, Great service, Amazing place, Good prices. They have a wifi, during our visit its relatively slow or no connection just dont expect every time there is a internet connection. there are many places in the island that you cannot get a mobile signal. There are many activities on the establishment like movie night, band concert. I just miss the opportunity to see and hear orange and lemons band performing their the schedule is at night during our visit. Dont miss Baha Bar if you want food trip in Siquijor Island!

Upon entry, you will be greeted by the bouncer who also serves as the ticket seller. Door fee is php80 with free drink (our that time was between rhum coke and vodka sprite, we chose the latter). Don't expect too much from the mix. Ours didn't taste like vodka sprite but for the price you pay, it's hard to fault the bar for offering sub-standard versions. Inside is a squarish-area with low ceiling. That made the place look smaller than it really is. The bar is to the left while the dj booth is on the right. There are several tall tables and quite a number of smaller ones. These are all for free as long as you get in early. I was told that they invite guest DJs every Saturday and the one playing that night was superb. Tunes are mostly Billboard Top 100 remixes. The crowd is a motley combination. There are locals (very easy to spot as they usually dress laid back), old, creepy foreigners, young foreigners, and college students. The older foreigners get in quite drunk so they're rowdier and creepier than normal. The club follows a strict dresscodes for men. No Sando / Sleeveless, no slippers. Shorts are okay though. Oh and you're only allowed to smoke outside. All in all, it was a pleasant experience. Definitely a step towards the right direction for Dumaguete. I just wish they can jack the price some more so unsavory locals can't get in and mess up the otherwise good crowd. I guess that's hard to do in Dumaguete where people are probably used to paying a smidge for almost everything.

Thank goodness for that because it was my friend's birthday and I couldn't find a cake anywhere else. Usually, they have a few options for premade cakes (as well as cookies, pastries, etc) but I went to late in the day so had to settle for the two last slices that were left of a bigger cake. It was father's day weekend so they had been very busy. Fortunately, they sliced the two pieces into three pieces for us and wrote a nice message for my friend. They even gave us a candle! The cake was tasty and we were all happy. Wish we'd have had time to eat there but we were across the street at Monkey Business and left the island the next day. The locals say the food is very good, as well. Might see ya there!

Easy to find along the main road plus they had a very bright sign. The staff were very friendly and greeted me with a smile. I loved the setting right next to the beach. I timed my dinner to coincide with sunset. I loved seeing all the local dogs enjoying the beach as well. Made me miss my dogs at home even more. I ordered the mixed seafood. It was served on a sizzling platter. It had lots of seafood - fish and shrimp and the coconut sauce was very tasty. I also ordered the Pinakbet vegetables. Also very well done and a huge serving. They were out of eggplant but that didn't matter. The other fresh vegetables made up for it. They let me know before I ordered. The sunset here was spectacular. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting to get out of their resorts and try a local restaurant.

Though I am not a local, I've literally been coming here for 20+ years when I'm home in Dumaguete. This place I also associate with home because my grandma's house was literally two doors down and we would come here to eat. This place will always share a special piece of my heart as my dad would frequent this place and eat here everyday when he was staying next door. For years my dad would bring his guests here and they would not disappoint. If you want good food, and even better company - rest assured you'll find it here. Shout to the staff and management who cared for my dad, Dodong Manny Garcia, as their own and fed him well. The Garcia family loves this place! Ambiance: you can bring a date, your family, or party with your friends on their live music nights. This place is poppin' and clean. I feel safe here - their bathrooms are clean and their service is excellent. the beautiful thing about this place is that it can even host big parties. We've even had tables of 16+ people accommodations for us. Seating: You have plenty of choices. Downstairs by the stage. Upstairs with a great view of the beach.Bar seating. And even indoor seating in Lab-as. Take your pick! Food: Tapsilog always a fave. They have extremely fresh fish and sell it by the pound. It is soooo tasty I cannot. I love their LapuLapu and an all-around fave is the Bangus lumpia. Fresh mango shakes and calamansi are a must. Alcohol: Take your pick. They have top shelf and local beer. They make extravagant drinks with flames and everything! Drinks here are IG worthy alongside the food. You will go home well fed and nourished. Parking: Be smart about it - there's a lot in the front that people are willing to help park (you're expected to tip) and even better it's not so clustered like it is in South point... this place literally giives you everything you need! Do yourself a favor and stay awhile...enjoy this place and Hayahay through the night because you will be more than impressed by this place. It is a must go to in Dumaguete!

It's located right on the corner of Washington Street and the National Highway. We dropped in on a Friday and Saturday evening. Both nights were chill (Saturday had live music; a two person band). Service is friendly and laid back. You order food and drinks at the bar then it's brought to your table. The food menu is up on the wall. There's specials, snacks, burgers, pizzas, wings and dessert. They even offer massages (pricey ones). Trip #1 - Sweet n' honey honey ale (160 PHP) - decided to try out a local beer (locally made from Birdie Num-Num Dumaguete). Not too sweet but nice tones of honey. - Fried calamari (160 PHP) - with mansi, aioli and salad. Not really a salad; more like a few pieces of lettuce. That being said, calamari is perfectly breaded and lightly fried. - Haloumi bruschetta (160 PHP) - with tomato & olive salad. Decent but the haloumi doesn't taste like cheese back home. - Chicken halang-halang (180 PHP) - cooked in coconut milk soup with local vegetables and served with rice. A bit too soupy/watery for my taste buds. The broth was lacking punch and vigour. Probably would get another special next time. - Spicy pork pizza (160 PHP) - eggplant, onion and chili. This was one bud's favourite dish. Excellent dough, good crust and actually reasonably spicy. You get 6 small slices but it's easy to share. - Hot & spicy chili sauce wings (180 PHP) - the sauce wasn't hot or spicy. It was more sweet and kind of made the wings soggy. Needed to be crispier. - Peanut butter & jam pizza (120 PHP) - surprisingly, this worked out well. Just like a p&b sandwich but on a pizza instead! Trip #2 - Ginger beer (90 PHP) - this had more ginger zip and zing to it than I expected. Pretty decent for the Philippines. Can't say I've seen ginger beer anywhere else. - Fried calamari (160 PHP) - we got it again as my buddy M liked it that much. - Seared tuna with achara (290 PHP) - came with fresh vegetables and rice in a sweet chili sauce. They asked how we wanted our tuna; we went with rare. The piece was HUGE and perfectly cooked rare. Best fish I've had in the Philippines. Super impressed. - Stuffed chicken wrapped in bacon (320 PHP) - came with potato cake and buttered vegetables. Chicken was brilliantly stuffed while the bacon wasn't greasy at all. They gave us three big pieces too! The potato cakes were heavenly. Vegetables was a mix of cauliflower, green beans, carrot and (potentially) kohlrabi. Great food, cheap drinks and chill vibes. Perfect hangout spot once you're done scuba diving for the day.
