I ordered a box of Casa Fernandez Anagorsa cigars 2 weeks ago at a good sale price there. They arrived. They were a bit dry (not even a water pillow included in their ground shipping) but I figured it was a good price so I'd just bring them back to life in the humi for a few months before smoking them. I went back online there and the price had gone up to over 15% higher than anywhere else I could find them on the web. What an increase! So, last Friday I ordered a few boxes of Casa Fernandez Miam Reserva Toros since those were still on sale (or so I was lead to believe). This morning I get a call from Tina at Nat Sherman who says their online price was an error and they cannot honor that price for any of my order but they'd be happy to charge me more than 10% higher than anyone else online and throw in a free cigar and free shipping. I cannot remember the last time a business would not honor their posted price. I also cannot remember the last time a store has pulled such a scam. Shame on you Nat Sherman. The domino tiles were being smacked down on the tables inside and one should not venture over there unless you got real game. The expansive back patio was open and many folks opted for the well lit cool pre summer night air. The salsa, merengue, and bachata were pumping; flat screens showed a game the Yankees saved by a run; and the place was lit. This was a regular night, relaxed and easy, service with a smile, just what the doctor ordered for busy New Yorkers on their grind. That's the nature of Moises. There are so many great nights up there. They celebrate birthdays. Sometimes they mark the beginning or end of summer with catered and grilled food, which happens for summer birthdays. Sometimes someone is promoting their cigars, hats and spirits. About once a month or so, they will have someone perform there. If it's a particularly important fight night or playoff game or any other major sports championship, it's going to be something happening. Next thing you know, the sun is rising.
