It did not feel warm or welcoming, but she got the job done. Maybe she had other things on her mind that day. They have a large selection of frames as well if you're in urgent need for that.

Curious, we walked in and spoke to the guy and we decided to give it a try. The difficult part is that you have to hold yourself in position as the plate you are standing on rotates. Also, it's a small plate so if you fit two people on there like I did, there is not a lot of space. When the plate spins for the scan, chances are your legs and feet will be fine, but the head is difficult to hold position. Now the upside is, they now have an instant scanner at Westfield in San Jose so I will have to look into that. As for the printout, they have samples around the store for you to look at. Do they look like smooth surface injection molded figures like you see in the toy store? Absolutely not. I do think that in time, the technology will improve so they can have printers that will do better. Still, it's pretty cool to have a figure of yourself. It's a fun and novel idea. Is it expensive? Well, it is a little high, but you can get the smaller size figure for less money. But no, it's not going to be $9.99 like stuff you can buy at Toys R Us. In a nutshell, I view this is a 3D photograph. A "picture" that is of you but in 3D. I did make an order and I expect to have my figure in a few days. I'm curious to see how we look as a 3D figure. But yes. it's novel and something different for your office desk.

While we didn't opt to purchase in the moment, it would be cute to have a miniature version of my partner lurking on the bedside table, and ordering can be done online as well. Check it out!

Wedding photography isn't…read morejust taking great pictures, but it is about capturing your once-in-a-lifetime moment and Square Colors understands that clearly. My wife and I are a very selective couple when it comes to wedding details and hiring vendors. As we have helped to coordinate our friend's weddings several times, we clearly know what we like and dislike on ours. We have decided from the beginning that we are going to invest the most on the photography and videography for our events because that's what you will be holding on to your whole life after the wedding day's over. Their style is photojournalistic and modern photography, exactly what we were looking for to cater our event. Hiring professional photography services for your wedding can be a very tough decision as there are a lot of great professionals out there and the ultimate question is: why should we hire A, instead of B and vice-versa? This may differ for different couples, but for my wife and I, the deciding factor is which of them that are able to realize our dream and imagination for our wedding. Square Colors went the extra miles to learn about our love story, how we met, etc and they incorporate that into our photo session's settings and design. Thus we have the best pictures, captured moments, and settings that are very personal to both of us. We went to a neighborhood playground near our house, parks, and even taking sunset pictures in the chilly Baker Beach and we had fun in all those sessions. Henry was our photographer and he always carries his big, wide smile and his interactive conversations make our photo sessions very enjoyable, stress-free, and most importantly: fun! We have heard of couples that are rushed during their sessions, directed to poses that turned out not so suitable for them, the case is different from ours. Henry has the perfect senses and eyes to slowly direct us to poses that works best and most comfortable for both of us, thus yielding to perfect results. We love them because they are professionals in every aspect of their services, from providing great customer service, smooth shooting sessions, and delivering creative and innovative results. We trust them with our precious moments in life and are very pleased that we had hired them! Yeay!!

He is friendly, knowledgeable, and he quoted me a very fair price for the services I needed to be done. Before coming to this shop I was doing some research and had called John and a few other businesses to inquire about engraving services that I needed for 6 gold compact mirrors I wanted to be personalized with names for my maid of honor, bridesmaids, and myself. I visited All Star Awards last Monday where John and I spent about 10 minutes discussing specific details such as font, size, and placement of the names, and pricing. However, I ended up leaving to my car to compare my options. I have never had anything personally engraved before and had no idea that coating and material of the product can affect the quality of the engraving, but I decided to take my chance with John because he was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain the process to me. On Friday that same week, he called me back and told me my mirrors were ready to be picked up! I was surprised at the quick turnover and I told John that I wanted to pick them up right after finishing work in the city at 4:00 because I'll be proposing to my MOH this weekend regardless of whether or not I receive the mirrors. However, I'd be arriving late due to traffic (He closes at 5pm and he's closed on the weekends). He told me not to worry and that he'll wait for me. I ended up leaving at 4:20 and driving there took about an hour. When I arrived, he presented me with the finished compact mirrors and they were exactly what I had envisioned!! They were so beautiful and I am so glad I decided to get one engraved for myself too! I recommend this business to anyone that needs a personalized gift and I'll definitely be coming back in the future to have more gifts engraved! Thank you so much, John!

While this whole process took a bit of time, I fortunately wasn't in a rush. Prices weren't cheap, but I didn't think they were exorbitant either. The sales associate at the Valley Fair Mall had suggested a consultation could result in the shipment of my sunglasses back to Italy for repair. I couldn't bare the thought of separating from my favorite Gucci's for 4-8 weeks for a missing screw. (designer sunglass I've owned since 2007). With my urgency for a second opinion, a colleague of mine had recommended this location to me for their expertise and customer service at Get Your Fix Optics in San Mateo. I met Grace at the front desk and she greeted me with a smile and while I spoke, she had eyes that glistened like the bright energy the shop gave. My entire interaction with Grace and her husband Rey, the genuine feeling of wanting to help me was present. They even said if they could fix it on the spot, the service would be of no charge (which turned out to be!) I also had the pleasure of speaking with Rey; his introduction as a business owner and goals for running the shop in a prime location explained how he caters to everyone's eye wear needs. It's an easy travel and your GPS can guide you to this shop. It's located inside a commercial building on the first floor with signs to guide you. A very safe location as its next to residential homes and other businesses like dental, law firms and brokers. From Borel Ave, traveling away from El Camino Real, make a left on Borel Place and on your immediate right hand side is the front of the office building, 1650 Borel Place. You can park on the street, a long side the building or enter the parking lot on the side of the building. Apparently they take appointments, but if you walk in and it's not busy, you may be able to get assistance on the spot. Perhaps I walked in the right time last Saturday, mid-morning. I also noticed right away that this Get Your Fix Optics is extremely clean and organized. A very inviting lounge area with coordinated modern lounge chairs, wall art and flat screen TV. And not to mention the clean laminate flooring and brightly lit rows of show room glasses on the opposite side of the lounge area. This location is a hidden gem! Thank you, Rey and Grace!
