I'm not sure what all the fuss is about. The greeter stopped by our table, one more time to advise us that the restaurant would be closed tomorrow as a group of 40 Asians rented the place out "because we are so good." His total attitude turned us off. As we left, the restaurant was not even 1/2 full, so I'm not sure why he was put out that we had not made reservations. There are better places to eat in Óbidos.

I'm not sure why some others described this as touristy. We found it be be very charming and full of character. The service was great and we enjoyed some traditional Portuguese dishes with delicious vinho verde. If you are in Obidos, check out this gem of a place!
