This is simply put, a gem of a location and something that all potential bride's and grooms should check out. My understanding is that you can actually use three different areas on site for the actual ceremony. The one that I attended was in a peaceful garden setting with beautiful trees. The dinner was set out on a lawn overlooking the valley, as the sun was setting. A fun bar area is available as well. Every fine detail of a garden setting is available here. WEdding pictures have beautiful areas with back drops of flowers or a pond. A must see for all of those planning a special event or wedding!

The indoor area has a nice large bar and a big kitchen as well. The building itself is old but has seemed to be kept up nicely. The conference room was kind of smelly, but it could have just been the left over odor from the groomsmen getting ready in there. Lol! The area for the women to get ready was a nice big lavatory lounge with big mirrors and lighting. Thank goodness we had a fan bc it did get a bit hot I'm there. Make sure to be prepared to plan though because it seemed like there was lots of prep done by family & friends, so I am not sure if the venue offered a crew for set up & tear down. Over all it was a lovely location for a ceremony!

There is also more gravel rather than lawn, which limits the usable space of the "backyard". The water views are still lovely and the bushes, flowers, shrubbery nice and well-maintained. Years ago, we were unable to use our own caterers without a lot of negotiation, additional costs and proof of insurance, not to mention covering the costs of the caterers transportation (which we offered to do). The staff over a decade ago felt impersonal and stand-offish, unfriendly and not wishing to be bothered by confirming reservations, nor addressing any questions we had in regards to our wedding day and the property. UNBELIEVABLE from start to finish!!!! My daughter and her fiance are low-key people (not "low-key"…read morelike my students misuse it; the old-fashioned low-key). They searched and searched for a place that matched their vibe and their pocketbook. And even though Sadie Lake was almost two hours from their home, it proved to be the perfect choice (well, except for the local dinosaur infestation). From Day 1, they' were in love with DeeDee. She offered lots of items for free that couples usually have to pay to rent or buy. Everything was all listed on her website so even those of us in other states could peruse. The location is so beautiful and the premises really felt quaint and homey, not formal and stuffy like some venues. And then there were things that no other venue offered, like the boat on the lake for some fantastic photos! I think the bonus was that it was probably the least expensive place they looked at. Deedee's not in it to make bank; she does it because she has a beautiful place that she wants others to enjoy on their special day. As the mother-of-the-bride, I'm not surprised that I thought it was the second best wedding I've been to (don't I have to pick my own as #1), but soooo many guests told me they felt the same way. I can't imagine a reason why you wouldn't pick this location!!

I will always remember my wedding day as beautiful and stress free because of the services provided by this business. A Chapel on Swan's Trail is a gorgeous venue with an incredibly helpful staff. The Chapel is over 100 years old and located up high on a hill with a beautiful view overlooking the Snohomish valley and downtown Everett. The grounds are gorgeous with lush landscaping and something to see everywhere you look. The best part of the venue, in my opinion, is that it can be held indoor or outdoor. On my wedding day we hoped for an outdoor ceremony but were able to easily move the ceremony indoors once we saw the rain was not giving up. We moved indoor for the ceremony but the rain broke and we were still able to have the reception outdoors. Lynn, the owner of the Chapel, seriously took the weight off of me in helping figure out all of the details in planning and she took lead on the day of. The first time I went to the chapel to meet with Lynn I was overwhelmed and after leaving I felt like things were making sense and everything was under control. Lynn even recommended our pastor, Reuben Sapien, whom everyone loved. She was able to provide all of the linens on site and even provided staff to help throughout the wedding day and (which was huge) a cleanup crew so we did not have to worry about that. If you are searching for a venue, take the time to meet with Lynn and tour the property yourself and you will see the care that goes into planning your day and into the property to make it special.

The string trio was simply, AMAZING. They truly made our wedding ceremony unique and helped bring our vision into reality. My guests were raving about that portion of our ceremony and cocktail hour - they were so impressed and enjoyed the music! It was Rebecca who we communicated mostly with through email prior to the wedding day. Let me just say, she made the communication and booking process so easy. Their repertoire was definitely impressive and we had a lot to chose of pieces to from. There were 3 specific songs we wanted for our ceremony (Bittersweet Symphony, Here Comes the Sun, & Stand by Me) and I was thrilled to find out they were able to play for us! I also want to thank Rebecca for helping us decide on a song for our bridal party to walk out to after the ceremony. We wanted something a little more upbeat, but still elegant at the same time. She helped us decide on Viva La Vida - the PERFECT ending! Overall, we were so happy with our decision to have Puget Sound Strings play at our wedding. The booking process was so easy, the string trio came and did an amazing job and everything was just executed so professionally! It truly made our wedding extra special - I had no idea how magical the write music would make the most important part of our day. If you're thinking of booking PSS for your big day or event, DO IT! I assure you, you will not regret it! :)
