A major problem is that for an island that has been around and occupied for centuries there are…read morebasically minimal signs. Be aware of that and do not get lost trying to find Eco museum and other spots - only the fort is well marked. Really would not go back there again ---OK for other groups, but not for looking to explore on their own --- maps are a minimal and signs even more so.

This restaurant by the ocean was amazing! The waiter was super nice and friendly. He couldn't speak English but he tried very hard. At one point he event Google it for us. The food was amazing! Everything we ordered here was amazing. Especially the mussels. Best mussels I've ever had. Somehow the mussels are buttery and melt in your mouth! Love it! If you go to this island you MUST try this restaurant!

The slots area shut down from 12-2pm so we went for lunch next door. We lost a combined $500 in about 10 minutes and didn't see anyone win anything. It is definitely worthy of your time…read more There are dozens of beautiful paintings from the 18th and 19th centuries and one triptych that is new. A new triptych in an old cathedral? How could that be?? Yet there it was and it was gorgeous. Painted by Hugo Bogo and installed in May 2019. The chapel had burned and they needed to put new painting there. Such a sad story but the result was new art! Be sure to have an ice cream in the square and stop in.
