When you enter the Honda service garage, there are sensors or cameras that automatically read your…read moretire tread depth and post the results on an HD monitor for you to see. When I pulled in for service for my barely-1-year-old car, I was told my tire treads were measuring 4/32", and I was given the hard sell that I needed my tires replaced; indeed, "4" is low enough that they wouldn't do the tire rotation portion of my routine maintenance. I caved and got new tires. I later discovered that their tread-depth sensor is off and mis-reading by approximately 3.25/32". Thus, instead of my treads being at 4/32", they were actually around 7.25/32", and I did not have to spend the $1,400 to get my tires replaced. (Makes sense, who's ever heard of having to replace new tires in one year?) I learned this because they put the wrong set of new tires on my car and then replaced them, so I saw twice on their HD monitor that new tires showed tread of 7/32". After coming home with my correct set of tires, I got them measured elsewhere and confirmed that they are at 10.25/32". Shady practice! Highly sketchy & unethical.

It's fast, easy and all the sales/service people are not only helpful but clearly have a desire to have a great customer experience. The sales person I've worked with is Chris Norton and I can't recommend Chris enough. Since 2019 I've worked with Chris and I'm now on my third CR-V. Chris is highly informative, maximizes visit time, and identifies in advance what his customers are looking for and need. Chris is very communicative and has worked with me quickly through text messages as well as quick phone calls. And the car is tremendous. I upgraded to a CR-V Sport Hybrid at the end of 2024 and I'm loving it. Direct off the show room floor as I was sitting with Chris right next to it!

Went in for an oil change…read more I thought the service entrance was off of Henry Clay, but no. Enter from Port Washington. Super friendly service. Smaller staffed at the counter, but that makes it more friendly I think. You can wait while they service or get a ride. The driver was also very friendly. The waiting area was open and spacious, but all sofa seats with TV on the wall. Wish there were a few tables so I could sit with an iPad and work. Drinks were pretty bare minimum - just hot/cold water, tea bags, and coffee. Also a sign with "1 snack per person" above a plate with 2 protein-type bars. Their prices for oil changes were exactly the same as a coupon I received for a "special", so the coupon doesn't seem to do anything. You can also ask for a car wash after service and they will run it through one for you.

Long story…read moreshort they couldn't do anything about it unless I wanted to replace the whole engine, for which I am pretty sure there's a warranty for. So I noticed later on that my engine cover was missing, and that was the last place I had gotten service. I called the service center and told him they still have my engine cover and he said he'd look and give me a call back, to which he never did and I'm still missing an engine cover. So not only did I lose hundreds of dollars for them to tell me they can't do anything, but I also got my engine cover taken.

That being said, this was a swift and easy situation. My Ford's passenger side handle had fallen off... likely due to it being broken into. I'd called Ford and they were able to book me in for the following week. They asked a few questions upon my arrival and then checked me in. Their waiting area is really pleasant and includes tvs and wifi, with plenty of space to work, which is what I did. The only real bummer is that it took over two hours, yikes. Again, I don't understand the ins and outs of cars and what they kind of repair would entail, but a broken handle wouldn't seem to be very extensive. I am fortunate enough to work remote for my job, so it's not tough for me to hangout and work anywhere, but just a friendly warning to others to carve out time in your day. Heiser Ford graciously took care of the cost of repair, which was much appreciated. They were easy to communicate with and seemed really professional. It will continue to be our go-to spot for our Ford!

I typically go to Lake Ford but I found myself with the low tire pressure light on last Tuesday when it was negative degree weather. I checked the tire pressure and sure enough it was low in the left rear tire. I keep an air compressor in my car but it wasn't working due to be stored in the cold weather. I was fairly certain gas station air hoses would be frozen so I looked for a ford dealership thinking the service department might still be open. I saw the Heiser Ford service center and pulled up. An employee came out and informed me that they closed at 6 and it was almost 7. I apologized and explained my situation. The guy, I believe his name was Alex, said he could help. He checked my tires, filled them and refused the cash tip I offered him. I am so grateful for his assistance and have been keeping an eye on the tire.

Steve Putterman in Service Dept is amazing, always providing me with top notch care, a brand new Benz as a loaner car when needed, and even remembers to ask about my dogs and horses every time I come in (usually only once per year). Steve does a thorough job going over what work needs to be done that appt along with the cost and what they did/found that may need my attention in the near future. Sure, their service prices seem super high, but I am a firm believer in you get what you pay for, so it is well worth the cost to me! I have owned 3 MB vehicles, all purchased used so not purchased here, and they have always treated me like royalty from the minute I drive up to the time I leave, including always washing my car for me (without me asking). I like the text reminders before, during and after service appts. The customer lounge is an added bonus of a service appt, with bougie coffee, water/soda and snacks, along with a nice tv area and super fast wi-fi (I usually work on my laptop while waiting for my car).

The next day, I told them I also needed an oil change and fluids topped off. Their worker, Jermayne Smith, insisted I still needed the inspection because an oil change and topping fluids "wouldn't fix my gauge problem." They later claimed I "needed a water pump" -- with an estimate of $2,000. My car is a 2019, so I decided to get a second opinion. I told them to just do the oil change and top off fluids ($90 service) and I'd go elsewhere. When I left, my car wasn't overheating. I happened to pass another shop, explained the gauge issue, and right in front of me the mechanic checked and found NO antifreeze in my car at all -- even though I paid for fluids to be topped off. Later, at a third shop, the mechanic (again, in front of me) found that a car part had been intentionally broken, which was causing my car to continuously run hot. This points directly back to Car Lot #1 (this company), since that's the only place I had been. That is fraudulent, illegal, and shameful. They tried to pressure me into a $2,000 repair I didn't need, and when I declined, they sabotaged my car. They are not to be trusted.

Their trade-in offer was shockingly low--$2,500 versus $10,000 offered by the Toyota store next door. No basic hospitality (no water or coffee), and the salesperson didn't make any real effort to help me find the right vehicle. Finance was the worst part: we sat for hours with no updates, were told to "come back tomorrow at 9am," and then no one called in the morning--or at all. I had to chase them repeatedly because I needed a vehicle for my driver, and the delays were costing me money. After two days, I still had no clear answer. For me, "Umansky" now equals "waste of time." I won't be back, and if you value your time, look elsewhere.
