Today, I left work early and drove for over 45 minutes to reach my 3 pm appointment. Just as I arrived at 3:02 pm, I received a call. I thought it was a confirmation check, but I was informed that my appointment had to be canceled and rescheduled. I understand that unexpected issues can arise, but this problem has happened twice in the last six months with two other referrals I made, all for the same service involving hygienist cleanings and X-rays.

But this had to be the best experience I've ever had with a dentist/ endodontist! My regular dentist referred me to Dr. Weiner for a potential root canal. I had this procedure done by him 7 years ago at his office near the Hollywood area. He has since moved to the Plantation area which is very close to where I live = convenient. My tooth pain began while I was traveling in Seattle and I was worried that the pain wouldn't allow me to get back to do it here, but I'm so glad I was able to. I called the office as soon as my dentist diagnosed it as a root canal. Cathy, the office manager, was very kind even though it was close to 5 p.m. - closing time, to contact my insurance company to see if I would be covered, which luckily I was. And she was able to get me in the following morning. These days you rarely get customer service like this! She was really awesome! Entering the office you get a warm comfortable feeling with the decor, ambiance and friendliness of the staff. There's even candles in the waiting room and the bathroom to give you that calming feeling. The exam room is almost like first class on an airplane! There's a TV, they provide a headset in case you don't have one to connect your phone to listen to music or what have you. There's even a blanket if you're too cold with the air conditioning. A fluffy pillow to put under your neck which most dentist chairs don't have. And because I have a back issue, Melissa the assistant, even gave me a small pillow for support and ice packs. I was so comfortable I almost fell asleep! Dr. Weiner was excellent in discussing the procedure, asking questions and is very detail oriented which I totally appreciate! I really didn't experience much pain which is unusual for a root canal! The procedure was pretty quick and afterwards I even got a care package with a bottle of water, instructions from the doctor and an ice pack. The overall experience was wonderful and it was great to see Dr Weiner again after 7 years - which he called it... The Seven Year Itch! LOL I highly recommend Dr Weiner and his team for any Endodontal issues!!

Hadn't been in an embarrassingly long time - measured in years. But no one there lectured me or even cared other than to say well now you're here so let's get everything back on track! In my view everything in my treatment plan is appropriate and necessary for where my teeth are after not seeing the dentist in a while. Charges are reasonable and they accept my insurance.
