    OG Chicken Sandwich
    Jessica C.

The crunchiest juiciest most delicious crispy chicken sandwich I have ever tasted in my life. Trust me! I have been searching for the best chicken sandwich and I have finally found it. The combination of sauces, pickle and bun make this sandwich something you have to eat before you die. The price is not bad at all. You get a really big sandwich for less then $13 with tax. For $13 your taste buds are going to be thanking me. I wish I bought two sandwiches, one to eat and the other to marry! Hahah!

Ordered the P&CO poutine as a snack and was really blown away by it. The gravy was a tad bit salty, but the fries were super crisp, super fresh, and the little pork bits gave the poutine a perfect amount of crunch. I didn't know I liked crunch in my poutine until now. I waited around ~5-7 mins for my poutine, but it was well worth it. Overall a fantastic experience. Portion size was great, price ($6.95) was solid, and the poutine was fantastic. I'll definitely come back soon to try their sandwiches.

Finally found something to venture further from the office for lunch. My colleague and I decided to pop by and order through Ritual app. This location was where a Korean restaurant was located in FCP. Got here, we saw a huge line up and that is usually a good sign. We waited a bit for our food and it was ready. So we started chowing down. I like how the mustard overpowers the saltiness of the pork. I like the crackling they included in the sandwich. I tasted the different flavour of mustard, pork and creaminess of the cheese. The bun was tilting to the dry side but it was fitting as I'm not a fan of soggy sandwiches. Overall experience is decent. It can be leaning towards the pricier side. But it's okay for once in awhile.

I have been meaning to try this place to a long time and I am very content I did so. Service was spectacular as employees were very patient with me and when they served me the food, they stopped by to talk a bit about the food. I had the kimchi chicken sandwich which was part of their specials and I cannot stress how good it was!! It came out hot, the chicken was juicy and had a beautiful crunch to it. I had mustard and hot sauce on the side and it complemented so well with the sandwich. I would go try their other locations for sure.

I always come for their Porchetta Plate but recently discovered about their chicken sandwiches! My friend and I both got the O.G. Fried Chicken Sandwich. Not bad but their fried chicken was a bit dry that day. We went near the end of the day right before they closed, so not sure if that had an impact.

Porchetta sandwich with Truffle sauce, Parmesan, mustard, hot sauce

House special sandwich for $9.95? I had high hopes. Boy, was I disappointed. The sandwich was dry and the sauce offered no harmony in terms of taste. Adding truffle sauce and Parmesan was odd to the palette and do not balance the flavor of porchetta. The only positive is that you get a pleasant crackling sound as you bite into the crispy skin of the pork. Overall, this house special sandwich is overpriced, dry and offers no satisfaction for your hunger. I would not recommend this sandwich. Maybe try their porchetta plates instead?

Rating: 3.75/5 Sandwich was pretty good and not dried. The bun stood out to me, it seems more buttery, which made it tasted better. Con: - size/price ratio. it was 12.95 before tax, should be around 8.99-9.99 based on its size. But have to consider downtown pricing + covid inflation -not filling enough. Overall, I say this is the second best tasting chicken sandwich. First probably goes to Church's Chicken.

Friends, Romans, countrymen...lend me your ears. Since Popeyes can't seem to get their act together on this side of the border, decided to check out the chicken sandwich situation in Toronto. I've passed by Porchetta numerous times and never bothered to check it out - until today. The OG Chicken Sandwich is just that. THE OG. The crispy, crunchy chicken with a juicy center. A herb ranch sauce, a dash of Frank's Red Hot. Shredded iceberg lettuce and pickles. There's some element of cinnamon in the mix. Don't know why but it adds a good dash of "je ne sais quois". It's not "spicy" as others claim. It's delicious. It's life-changing. Popeyes? Don't know her. This is THE chicken sandwich. Check it out.

This small little bake shop had a menu hanging up, but I completely ignored it thanks to the baked goods right behind the counter that I was too busy staring at. I knew right away that I was going to order a Chocolate Croissant because, well, I always order a Chocolate Croissant if one is available. After making my first choice, this strange little baked good caught my eye, and it turned out to be something called a Cruffin.......a Cruffin you say? What is a cruffin? WELL, let me tell you. The cruffin is basically like a muffin, but like, with cheese and pepperoni on it so obviously I hate to order that sexy little bad boy right away. This thing wasn't big, but it was very dense and basically tasted like pizza crust which was absolutely delicious. After eating the cruffin, the Chocolate Croissant seemed way less cool but I ate it anyway. It tasted good and the chocolate was actually spread across the whole thing so they get an even bigger thumbs up for doing it right. Overall, COBS Bread was the spot! I had no idea this was a chain, but who cares, this place was great. I really liked the Cruffin I got and the croissant was really good as well. I will absolutely be revisiting COBS Bread when I come back to Canada and devouring a few more cruffins while I'm at it!

It blends a traditional Italian deli style with a modern downtown vibe and is known for fresh panini made with quality meats and ingredients, many imported from Italy. We tried their "Il Padrino" and "Capricciosa" panini, and both stood out with crispy fresh bread and a great balance of mortadella, prosciutto, salami, cheese, veggies, and sauces. The combination of fresh bread, curated deli meats, and flavorful sauces gives each sandwich a really nice touch. Besides sandwiches, they also carry Italian-style groceries like pasta, cheeses, desserts, and drinks, which makes the visit feel like a quick trip to a small Italian market. Blink and you'll miss this one! It's down some steps and features so outdoor seating as well. I was intrigued when I heard that another Italian cafe/sandwich shop opened near the Annex/Harbord Village. They have a variety of panini style sandwiches with a fridge/freezer of imported items such as frozen meals, meats, dried and spreads, sauces, cake slices and gelato! All the sandwiches sound delicious! Hard to choose! I went with the Alla Romana $16 (Prosciutto from Abruzzo Italy, Semi-dried cherry tomatoes, Balsamic glaze, Fior di Latte). The bread was crusty & warm - all quality ingredients!! The prosciutto & other topping were plentiful. Great flavours. Fresh! You can tell it was made with care. I was surprised at how big the sandwich was. It was cut in two & placed in a take away container which travelled well. The sandwich was still intact and perfect when I got home. The bread has a good crust but was soft inside to be a good compliment for the filling! I did get a piece of tiramisu & a small single serve cup of gelato from the fridge/freezer to be tried later!! I am a big fan of sandwiches with quality great & quality filling and this checks off the boxes. Staff was friendly and the sandwich is a good value given the top quality ingredients. If you've been to Italy you will appreciate inspired sandwiches & pantry items! Quite a few tables to sit down and enjoy your sandwich with a cold or hot beverage. They have a TV with the Olympics on too! The sandwich picture doesn't do it justice! Go see for yourself!! :)

The menu is huge with so many varieties of subs/sandwiches to choose from, truly all of them are the best. There is also a lot of seating for you to come in and eat as well, incase you did not want to take out. Now onto the sandwiches! I kid you not, the bread here is the most softest, fresh bread which also does not get soggy with all the toppings/sauces that get put on it. And then all the toppings that get added are super fresh. These sandwiches truly are addicting but also worth the money! I will always go back for the Chef's Choice sub which comes with: Grilled Chicken Strips, Avocado, Tomato, Hot Pepper, Fresh Onion, Olives, Crispy Onion, Pesto Sauce & Grandma's Homemade Hot Sauce. I truly truly recommend this off their menu if you are looking for something you want to keep coming back for. 10/10 Recommend!!!

I agree that the price for a sandwich plus side salad is quite pricey ($13 including tax) but I like the fact that everything tastes fresh and light, and you have alot of options to customize your sandwich in a healthy way. I ordered the rosemary focaccia with chicken breast, arugula, avocado and chipotle spread plus their usual sprinkle of salt, pepper and squeeze of lime. It's like a gourmet sandwich - the bread was thick, soft with hints of rosemary and yummy. The salad was mostly arugula with carrots- this was very lightly seasoned but at least I won't be hit with itis going back to work! Definitely would come again, although not regularly since it's kinda pricey.

I'm going to continue with my overtime take out review series with Sandwich Box. You would think making a sandwich is probably not the most complicated task out there, but this place seems to get it all wrong. My order consisted of an egg salad sandwich on whole grain bread with a side salad. When I received it, I only got the sandwich and the restaurant failed to tell me the salad was no longer included in the combo (yet the price remained the same). That's great that the online menu was not updated to include items no longer available, a simple update would address all these problems knowmsayin? Now on to the actual sandwich, the bread was thick. I mean so thick it looked like there was about a half an inch of eggs inside of two encyclopedias worth of bread. The eggs themselves, totally flavorless and bland. Kinda hard to mess up an egg salad sandwich right? Even Tim Horton's can get that right! To make things short and sweet, I'll be looking over this option the next time I'm working late or considering a sandwich in the downtown area.
