I have been reluctant in writing this review but I have been unable to resolve this direct with Porcelanosa and feel that I have been let down by a company who offer bathrooms to the higher end of the market and would probably have received better customer service from B&Q. We ordered a bathroom & cloakroom from Porcelanosa approx £16k, we walked arond the showroom with the salesman along with our baby and literally pointed out the bath, taps, shower accessories etc and placed order a few days later. Our builder (recomended by Porcelanosa Bristol) started a couple of weeks later and on delivery several parts were incorrect. At first we thought nothing of this, as we just thought it was a mix up. We requested a soft closing toilet seat, but delivered a non soft closing toilet seat. The saleman said that I have said I wanted a non soft closing toilet seat but I explained while we were in the showroom that we wanted a soft closing toilet seat to match what we have in our ensuite. However, he changed them to the soft closing toilet seat. When I used the bath taps I found that the hot and cold labels were the wrong way round. I called the salesman regarding this and he said he would talk to head office office in Spain, I asked when I hear back from him, to which he replied "when he next speaks to them, maybe some time this week". I was concerned that this wasnt an important matter to him, and asked for this to be made more of a priority. He called me later that day with a poor excuse stating that when the tap is on the + - signs are the right way round for hot and cold water. This is obviously not right, he has now arranged for Spain re make the tap. I was very surprised a company like this would sell taps labelled wrong, and then deny this, he said that no other customer has noticed this. We used the shower and could not believe they supplied a two way valve within the unit when we only have a shower head installed (the 2 way valve is apparently for a shower with a head and a side shower rail - which we do not have). I could not face calling the salesman again and so I called the manager, who I found to be very understanding with my concerns. However, there was little he could do for a week as the salesman was on holiday. I left this for a week or so believing that the manager was waiting for the salesman to return from his holiday to discuss exactly what had happened and why a 2 way valve was sent instead of a 1 way valve. I received a phone call from the salesman on 9th August and he said that he explanied to my husband and I that we would have a 2 way valve to match the valves on the bath. However, I of course explained that he didnt say this to us, we would never have spent money on a new bathroom to have a partly redundant shower valve. I asked if I could speak with the manager as I seemed to reach a more understanding level with him, but the salesman said that he is now on holiday for a week. I am upset that the manager could not have resolved this before going off for a week given that I had to wait over a week already for the salesman to return from his holiday. I asked the salesman whether he could resolve this by replacing the 2 way valve for a 1 way valve and also providing acceptable compensation for the stress and hassle Porcelanosa have brought to me, to which he responded that there wouldnt be any compensation offered, although when I spoke with the manager previously he said that they would sort out compensation once he has spoken to the saleman. I suggested to the salesman that should I not receive some form of monetary value then I will leave reviews on Google, he said that again compensation will not be offered and to go ahead and leave reviews. I did not expect the poor level of customer service from such a prestigious company who deal with the higher end of the market day in day out. I am appalled that the salesman has no concern to Porcelanosa's reputation. I want to enjoy this purchase but instead am left feeling like it has all been such hassle and not worth doing for all the stress this has brought to me. I am still in dis-belief that Porcelanosa send out taps labelled wrong and the way they have dealt with the problems we have had. The saleman even made me feel as though I was lying as he questioned why I only called about the 2 way valve just over a week ago, I explained that this was because the shower head has only just been delivered/fitted as this part took longer to come. He said that he has bent over backwards for me by sending parts from Spain by DHL, and complained that he is in alot of pain but came in especially to sort this out. I dont feel that sending goods by DHL from Spain to provide a customer with the goods they have purchased is 'bending over backwards' and if he was in pain, this is not relevant to me or this whole palava. They only comunicate with Spain by email, which sometimes can take a few days to reply. I strongly do not recommend using this company. read more
