I scheduled my cleaning quickly and they out me in the chair with no hassles. The waiting room was peaceful and didn't have that hospital vibe you sometimes get, and theres even a nice window to look at some greenery. The staff was very kind and always asking if I was ok, which was much appreciated, and my cleaning went quickly; about 25 minutes in and out of the chair. The dentist actually did my cleaning and she talked to me about my teeth in a way that made me aware of its health but also without the usual scolding of "you have to floss more" (even though I probably do). No one was pushing procedures onto me but there were plenty of different recommendations that I could think over and consider. I was able to schedule a follow up cleaning months ahead easily and was out about 50 minutes, all in all. After my follow up cleaning 5 months later, they introduced me to Invisalign and I signed up with them after seeing the incredible deal I was getting. They scanned me and I got to see a quick overview of how my teeth were going to shift. Getting the attachments onto my teeth and set up was painless and quick - smoother and easier than I imagined (I had braces for 4 years as a kid - traumatizing) and right now, my top and bottom canines haven't touched like they do in nearly 20 years. Highly recommended.

The office is spotless, well-maintained, and surprisingly quiet and relaxing for a dental practice. What impressed me most was Dr. Girgis's gentle touch. He also saved me from getting an unnecessary crown that had been recommended by another dental office just two weeks earlier. If you don't live nearby, he is absolutely worth the drive. I've always been someone who avoided going to the dentist unless it was absolutely necessary, but I can honestly say I've finally found a dentist I trust and plan to keep seeing for years to come.

My Aunt & Uncle referred me because I was frustrated with the office I had been going to for years. The office was under new ownership and I couldn't seem to get the same dentist twice in a row and each dentist had different opinion. The cost escalated with each opinion too. I was completely frustrated and not sure what to do. So, I made the appointment with Dr Moss and was very nervous about seeing a new dentist. I was immediately put at ease by him and his staff. He did a thorough examination, gave me a preliminary explanation of the work I needed to do and was invited back for another appointment to go over everything in detail. When I returned, I was blown away. First, by the technology that he uses and secondly by how much thought and time he put into my needs before I had even given him a penny. I'm not going to lie, I was also blown away by the cost, but his staff worked out a payment plan for me and I have never been happier about my decision to have him do the work. My husband and kids are constantly telling me how beautiful my smile is again, and they are right! Dr Moss is an award winning general and cosmetic dentist. He is also very kind, gentle, detailed, and very knowledgeable. His assistants are also knowledgeable and engaging, kind, funny, and always concerned for my comfort. I've also never been to such a good and thorough hygienist who is also all the above! Never have I ever said I love my dentist, but I do now! Dr Moss and his team are amazing.

STAY AWAY! I never…read morehad an issue with a dentistry since I'm not fearful or hate them. This place is insane! The were drilling my molars to replace the metal filling and I told them they were shocking my face every time they touched it with the drill which was pretty painful, they literally asked me if I can just tolerate it rather than numbing me more. SMH I had a root canal with them done which got infected immediately. Not only that but they shaved my actual molar to almost non existent and kept making my gums bleed due to plying out their "temp" tooth. They are contracted with a dentist next door which helps with infected root canals. It makes me wonder if they purposely didn't care for me to send me that way. I've never had such an incompetent dental office. There's a reason why they are only open 2 days of the week now. If I could I would sue the sh** out of this place.

I just started going here after finding Santa Maria on Yelp (two visits so far) and I LOVE these…read moreladies. I waited 9 years to see a dentist - partly because of life events and partly because of my irrational fear of dentists. During the first visit the doctor took X-rays and wrote a course of treatment for me after examining my teeth. In the evaluation she added nothing excessive, gave me ALL of my options, and even planned out for some teeth to "watch". I needed a deep cleaning and one filling so I just had my second appointment. First off, the doctor and her assistant are lovely people - easy to talk to and will explain every step of what they're doing. They make you very comfortable. Once they started my cleaning we found out how sensitive my mouth was. But the doctor told me that there was no need for me to be in pain and we'd keep administering numbing medication until I was pain-free, then she'd continue. Now, they only use local anesthesia- no NOS gas here - but honestly, I couldn't even see needing it. She numbed me so many times - which after the first couple pinches I couldn't even feel - until i was pain free. She's pretty much magical. I felt so bad for how much time we spent on medicating me - but she was so supportive and reassuring. After the procedure, when I could look at my filling - I couldn't even tell which tooth she had done by looking at it. It PERFECTLY matched my tooth shape and color - unlike another back filling I had done as a kid. She told me to expect some discomfort after since my filling ended up being larger than she thought - but honestly, I haven't felt a single pain since! I would highly recommend Santa Maria Dental to anyone and everyone - ESPECIALLY those scared of dentists. They don't have any fancy gas anesthesia or tvs for distraction, but I didn't even end up listening to the music I brought - the doc and her assistant were much more comforting. I left off a final star because of their cleaning prices. My boyfriend's dentist has better cash prices than what my insurance for this doctor covers and they won't honor any of their coupons or checkin deals for anyone with insurance - cash patients only - even if the coupon doesn't say so. I'll probably pay cash to my boyfriend's dentist for cleanings or deep cleanings, but I'm getting any/all of my more significant work done at Santa Maria. Wonderful!
