I love this spot! OMG The chicken is to die for. I ordered the Pepe's special with the carne asada, chorizo and chicken did not regret. They also give you rice and beans. The salsa is so delicious and the tortillas are warm and ready for you to eat. I thank my coworker for introducing me to this spot. The chicken is delicious. Never over cooked or dry. Beans and rice are good as well. The only down falls are that the corn tortillas are always wrapped in foil and by the time I get home they are always stuck together. And they have an amazing green salsa but they don't make it every day. I'm not sure why. That always bums me out. The hood probably has the best food I have tried yet!! I came across this place after hearing many coworkers talk about the charbroiled chicken!! As soon as I pulled up there was this fantastic aroma in the air. As I walked up to the spot where they are cooking their chicken and oh mighty what a delicious sight!! I thought that I loved pollo loco's chicken but you know what I refuse to support big corporations like that anymore!! I love supporting mom and pop shops like this!! The chicken is really that bomb! This is a great place for the Mexican citrus grilled style chicken. It is similar to Pollo Loco, but is so much better. This is owned and operated by a family that only has two locations here in the Compton Area. They make everything from scratch except for the desserts and bread. Desserts and bread are made locally and delivered fresh daily from local bakeries. The chicken is simply out of this world. Tender juicy and full of flavor. Marinaded in a secret citrus marinade then grilled over an open charcoal bbq pit. Chicken is not all they do though. The grill fish, hot links, carne asada style steaks and even upon request American styled BBQ chicken(with a spicy/tangy sauce). Last, side dishes. They make in house all the side dishes. Refriend beans, pinto beans, Mexican rice, macaroni salad and nopales. its all good, but my favorite is the cole slaw, which is only available some of the time. This is my favorite Chicken in the world. Every time that I am in Compton or even close by. I have to stop by and get a half chicken lunch. If I am going to a party and it is a potluck. Went there because of yelp the best way to get there take Alameda to Rosecrans so when I got there I ordered a chicken but the chicken they pulled out looked dry so I asked for jucy chicken and the girl at the register appeared to be young first said this is juicy so I told her I didn't want to bring it back and there was a language problem with the guy that was fixing the chicken I don't speak Spanish but the young girl spoke to him ,and he got me another one the chicken I got was not totally juicy the breast were dry thank goodness it came with salsa i had to dip the breast in salsa to swallow but the smokey grill flavor was on point read more
