After all, who WOULDN'T be thrilled to find a shop specializing in chocolate that's open every day? But Cocoa Mountain is not gimmicky, and Cocoa Mountain is NOT sub-par by any stretch of the imagination. Excellent is what Cocoa Mountain is. The hot chocolate really is as rich as it looks (not to mention the glorious, velvety smears of even more chocolate around the cup that one can inhale with a spoon), and the handmade chocolates are unique, flavor-balanced, and perfectly respectable. Not to mention a lovely ambiance and many pastries to choose from! My only suggestion would be to add a touch of salt (and maybe a tad more moisture) to the coconut brownie. But it's still really good - after all, I have a pretty draconian standard there, being both a dedicated dessert enthusiast and an *especial* lover of coconut desserts.
