AND he provided a little envelope to store the photos. He is professional and very quick for passport photos. In comparison to other shops that are crowded and hot, with no retakes, no help on posing, no print cutting, and no envelope to protect the photos. $8.95 for the other shops. So, if you want a pleasant experience for a couple bucks more. I would try here. I will also be trying him for our Christmas photos.

Now that was the US passport photo. When I needed to get a Canadian passport photo for the same daughter, just the thought of going to the same places got me frustrated as the Canadian have very specific measurement to their Citizenship as well as passport photos. I randomly called John Gaspar photographers. The moment he picked up the phone and started talking to me I knew I found the right place, as he knew exactly the measurement needed for the Canadian photos. My wife went to his store and was amazed by the speed and the professionalism at which Mr. Gaspar took the photo and she loved the outcome and actually blamed me for not finding him sooner having to go through what we have been through with the US passport photo.

Anyways, Jess and Mel were amazing at my trial and on my wedding day. They were patient and so detailed. They made me feel beautiful inside and out. Just the way a bride should feel. When I emailed her for pricing information I was given back this package : 350$ 4 hours of shooting time, 25 fully edited online image gallery, 10 images on a cd along with 25 birth announcements. During the shoot, I repeatedly asked Juilette if she captured good shots , asked if we needed to take more. She insisted we had several good shots. Once she emailed my password to view the proofs, my husband & I could not believe the results before us. The shots were over photoshopped to where my newborn didn't even look like herself, her face was blurred out in some & worse she looked lost amongst the "props". I immediately emailed Juliette back & she admitted to these faults and agreed that she wasn't happy & she would re shoot. Once we arrived at the re shoot we were given attitude & she refused to do certain poses that I wanted. She also rushed us under an hour for this re-do. She emailed that night with the re shoot and they were AWFUL. I then so upset took a couple days to email her with my feelings, once I did this is when the real nightmare started. She avoided my phone calls , then had her husband call me & harass me, laugh at me and refuse to make right on this matter. He would not listen to me , he expressed that it was "too bad". He also tried to belittle my husbands career as Firefighter (I have no idea why that even came up), he tried to argue with me , spoke over me and was completely unprofessional. I now can never get that time back to redo a newborn shoot with a different photographer. I hope that I can warn as many people as I can to avoid this heart breaking experience. I also hope that Julietee learns from this experience and makes her customers satisfaction first so her business can thrive. I have not hacked into any account nor would I. Unfortunately, the occasion for using Gordon's Ink was not a happy one: I wanted a large headshot blown up for a memorial service. I also had several other photos enlarged, but on a smaller scale. I needed all of this with a four day turnaround and I ended up needing one of the photo scans for the memorial program and Chris was great! I have done some of my own enlargements using Picasa and cheap photo labs and it ended up being well worth it to employ someone to get good quality enlargements. It helped that I had high quality originals, but I was thrilled with the end product. Chris' prices seemed reasonable given the quality. I think we paid $70 for an enlargement from 5x8 to poster size. This included whatever touchups were needed. I didn't compare them head to head, but I know the studio mark, at a minimum, was edited out which was great. Go check out this man's company! If I lived in the area, I would consider getting some of my own travel photos done up for hanging here.

I spoke to several other printing companies who were so impatient with my lack of knowledge when trying to print postcards for promotional materials. I wasn't sure that I had the right files from my design firm in order to get some last minute cards done.
