It's in walking distance of my restaurants and shops. It's a short drive to many nearby attractions such as the cliff walk. Randy and Lisa were great hosts. We requested to check in early and they were very accommodating. When we arrived Lisa gave us a rundown of the area and suggested a few things to do/places to eat. The room we stayed in was big, clean and comfortable. We were able to control our own air which we appreciated. Breakfast in the morning was wonderful! Coffee and water was readily available at all times. I would definitely stay at the Firehouse Inn again!

All the items outside the shower were soaked. 2. People really want a good night rest and that can be difficult with a bad bed. The one in that same room is lumpy/old. Also, the Post office is next door and it's quite loud at 6AM. workers check each horn in each mail truck at 6AM. 3. Much to be desired for making this a bed and breakfast. I've never seen anything like this before- unsatisfactory as mentioned by 10/26/2017 review. Pros: location is close to restaurants in town and the house is uniquely charming.

Showering did make us a LITTLE uncomfortable since there wasn't any curtain or covering on top of the window in the bathroom for privacy since we could see the upstairs window of the house next door, hopefully no one was in that house while we stayed since there was construction being done on that house during the day, so I'm assuming the house was currently unoccupied but even when we ONLY had the shower lights on to shower you could still see straight out the window right at that window next door, so if there was someone home they can definitely get "a show" from our shower. Haha. So I HOPE they put a curtain on top for peace of mind for the guests, once the house next door will be occupied. (See pic of bathroom window). Also sometimes guests don't drive & have to take a train in and pack light (we won't always fit umbrellas) so when it rains... if more than just 2 umbrellas could be available for the guests in case it rains, that would be great and that would show extra care. Actually have 2 umbrellas in each room, would be even better because we thought the 2 umbrellas outside the 1st floor room were the guests' umbrellas. Aside from those little things, we'd definitely visit again and stay here, the decent pricing also made us choose this place over the other choices, by the way!

At the bar, Olivia was wonderful pouring and guiding us through the wines, while Maurice was the true star of the show. His cocktails were exceptional--thoughtfully crafted, perfectly balanced, and clearly made by someone who takes real pride in their craft. Emmett also stood out as someone who truly understands hospitality--polished, attentive, and naturally great with guests. It has an amazing view from the harbor. They have a limited food menu but everything I have had has been delicious. I have been a few times and each experience has been wonderful. This night my girlfriends and I were out in a progressive dinner having different bites at a few places. We went here for my favorite their fig and prosciutto flatbread pizza. It is so yummy. We had a few drinks. It's quiet so you can hear your friends conversations. I love going here. In the summer they have a rooftop deck that has more great views of the harbor and nice place to get a drink. The staff is always so nice here. This is my hidden gem location. Breakfasts and teas were terrific. The indoor and outdoor spaces are beautiful, tasteful and interesting. We absolutely look forward to returning.
