We've been to quite a few B&Bs and we loved the hospitality, cleanliness & location of this place!…read moreLoved that they allowed guests to store some leftovers in the fridge upstairs with a microwave to heat it up later. Always fresh water available with coffee, tea, hot chocolate & some biscotti. The ONLY issues we've had with this place was we did find some 2 small hair strands in the shower, but overall, the room was still clean. Showering did make us a LITTLE uncomfortable since there wasn't any curtain or covering on top of the window in the bathroom for privacy since we could see the upstairs window of the house next door, hopefully no one was in that house while we stayed since there was construction being done on that house during the day, so I'm assuming the house was currently unoccupied but even when we ONLY had the shower lights on to shower you could still see straight out the window right at that window next door, so if there was someone home they can definitely get "a show" from our shower. Haha. So I HOPE they put a curtain on top for peace of mind for the guests, once the house next door will be occupied. (See pic of bathroom window). Also sometimes guests don't drive & have to take a train in and pack light (we won't always fit umbrellas) so when it rains... if more than just 2 umbrellas could be available for the guests in case it rains, that would be great and that would show extra care. Actually have 2 umbrellas in each room, would be even better because we thought the 2 umbrellas outside the 1st floor room were the guests' umbrellas. Aside from those little things, we'd definitely visit again and stay here, the decent pricing also made us choose this place over the other choices, by the way!

Upstairs is fantastic with a view of the water. Breakfast the final +++++ The church bells ring on the hour, slightly off key. More charming than annoying.

Kathy at the concierge was incredibly accommodating and welcoming right from the start, making us feel comfortable and taken care of. At the bar, Olivia was wonderful pouring and guiding us through the wines, while Maurice was the true star of the show. His cocktails were exceptional--thoughtfully crafted, perfectly balanced, and clearly made by someone who takes real pride in their craft. Emmett also stood out as someone who truly understands hospitality--polished, attentive, and naturally great with guests. Even without staying overnight, the experience alone makes The Brenton worth a visit. We'll absolutely be back. Next time for an overnight stay!

I did not stay here. However, I love coming to their lounge/bar area at the hotel. It is known as…read morethe "Living Room". They have very comfortable chairs and sections to sit. It has an amazing view from the harbor. They have a limited food menu but everything I have had has been delicious. I have been a few times and each experience has been wonderful. This night my girlfriends and I were out in a progressive dinner having different bites at a few places. We went here for my favorite their fig and prosciutto flatbread pizza. It is so yummy. We had a few drinks. It's quiet so you can hear your friends conversations. I love going here. In the summer they have a rooftop deck that has more great views of the harbor and nice place to get a drink. The staff is always so nice here. This is my hidden gem location. I almost did not want to post to let my secret out.
