I don't usually leave reviews, but this visit to Popeyes absolutely deserves one. From the moment I walked in, the service was top-notch -- friendly, fast, and welcoming. You could tell the team really cared about what they were doing. The food? Fresh. Hot. Crispy. Juicy. Simply amazing. Everything tasted like it had just come out of the kitchen -- perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The chicken was flavorful and the sides were just as good (the biscuits... chef's kiss). On 11 Sep 25 I stopped at the Popeyes in Macclenny on a Thursday at around noon and the doors were closed and locked. I knocked on the door and the rude uncaring staff that was behind the counter didn't come to the door or make any kind of jesture as to what may be going on. She just looked at me in a very unconcerned way and went about her business. There wasn't even a note on the door saying what was going on. The drive thru looked as if it was working. This is the most horrible Popeyes I have dealt with. I will not be using them again. read more

Was driving home Saturday night and wanted a chicken sandwich. It says they close at 10, showed up at 9:24 and they said they were closed.

Really a chicken place with no white chicken. Also the drive through was awful! Had to wait forever. And as we sat there, people going back inside from drive through cause order was wrong. Hopefully ours is right! read more

Staff is very rude! Disrespectful! Disorganized! They appear to not know how to work the system, and rudely told me to come inside because they "couldn't see my mobile order" but what pissed me off was being told "come inside your messin up my drive through time" I was the only car! Your drive through time is your performance! Perform! Don't fake numbers with rudeness! I don't mind coming in if asked nicely. I get systems mess up! But when I walk in and I see a big screen with my name and order on it?! No. Rude liers! And waited 15 minutes inside listening to them argue and scream at eachother or just joking around but not working couldn't tell the difference! Service is usually so-so. I never really have high expectations for fast food in Macclenny, because well... people from Macclenny work there. However, the other night I placed a mobile order for close to $50 for within normal dinner times (7:30pm) and was told they were "out of chicken until tomorrow" Well, I already paid for it! I was then told they couldn't issue the refund, it "needed to be done through whoever I ordered it through." I ORDERED IT THROUGH THE POPEYES APP. HOW IS POPEYES NOT THROUGH POPEYES? I could see if I had done uber eats or something like that, but there was no third party here! What if that was my last dollar and I couldn't eat now, because they couldn't issue their own refund because of their own laziness? I also want to know how a *chicken place* doesn't have *chicken* during dinner time?? Ya'll didn't see that coming? It's the same time every day. read more

Whoever owns this place is clearly taking advantage of their employees. I sat at the drive through speaker for 10 minutes before I was helped. Then, I sat behind a car that waited at the window for 20-30 minutes. I found out a few minutes later that they only had two employees working the kitchen and were understaffed. This was at dinner time, and there were only four cars in the drive through for the entire 45 minutes I sat there. I ordered food and sides for two people, which cost me nearly $40. I'm not sure where that money is going, but it is clearly not being used to ensure the business is being run properly. If you cannot afford NOT to overwork your people, you cannot afford to run a business. Full stop. And if the owner is turning a profit from this place, they should be ashamed. We stopped in again & the food was still pretty good, but the dining room was in a terrible mess & the only employee not playing on their phones was the guy cooking the chicken. This location is getting almost as bad as the one in Callahan. read more

I was the only customer ordering food inside, there were 6 employees in the kitchen. The majority of them were honestly doing nothing, other than talking and cutting up with eachother. I waited almost 14 min for a simple order, and no the drive thru line was not busy, I would understand if it was. Having been in the restaurant business myself for many years, I can tell you this is due to poor leadership and lack of training and work ethics. Hopefully the franchise owner is aware of this and the manager is trained on how to train, because it is seriously lacking. read more

The people at this BRAND NEW location are horrible. You can't order without getting attitude. Instead of asking "will that be all?" They bark "ARE YOU DONE ORDERING??", with attitude. They literally throw your food through the window at you and if you check your bags and find something is missing and you ask about it, they act as though you insulted their mother. Attitude attitude, attitude. The kids meal we ordered for my granddaughter yesterday had one long skinny chicken tender in it (only ONE), six french fries, some HOT dipping sauce (shes two years old) and no toy. Customer service is HORRIBLE! After placing an order we were asked to pullup and wait for a few minutes (3-5) in order for the staff to finish getting our ordered items together. At the 10 minute mark I went inside and walked into a complete SHIT SHOW!! No inside customers at all but all the staff behind the counter were hollering and arguing amongst each other. Every individual that we tried to talk to was a complete ASS!!, no interpersonal communications and the attitude was that the paying costumer was in the wrong. All they could say was that they remembered making our order, another 10 minutes later they decide that our order was given to the wrong customer!! Refunded the money with attitude. There's a complete lack of professionalism in this establishment, the managers are definitely in need of some serious supervisory training covering a wide range of topics, line staff seem to give very little attention to detail and should be held accountable for their mistakes. If I was a partner in this franchise I would be completely and utterly embarrassed by the actions and attitude of this staff that are working here. read more

This restaurant just opened and boy let me tell ya, it was packed drive thru and inside. We decided to go in and order, staff greeted us several times and it only took us 5 minutes to get our food after ordering. Food was fresh and delicious. Sorry Zaxby's looks like Popeyes is my new favorite restaurant in Macclenny. read more

I guess a dollar is better then providing good service. have you ever seen anyone but a manager on the floor. you can just look at cameras to see how your customers are having to put up with. sad. this will be my last review and visit. I got in the drive thru line at 10:15 PM on June 13th. There were 3 cars between me and the ordering speaker. I waited in line for 20 minutes until I finally got up to order. The employee taking my order asked me what I wanted, and I said a chicken sandwich combo. The employee said to wait for a second then I didn't hear anything for 3 minutes. When they came back and asked what I wanted, I repeated a chicken sandwich combo. They said they were out of sandwiches. I then asked for a chicken tender combo and they told me they were also out of chicken tenders. This was after I waited 20 minutes to order because the line wasn't moving. While I was waiting in line, I noticed the back door was open and 3 or 4 minutes employees were standing in the back room while 2 of them rinsed off some kind of equipment with a hose. Maybe they were just innocently cleaning something but given the circumstances, it seems to me like they conveniently stopped frying chicken and started cleaning up over 40 minutes before they were supposed to close. After they informed me that they were out of sandwiches and tenders, I drove off. I might have stayed to get an order of red beans and rice, but the line was moving so slowly I had no idea how long it would take. I had already wasted 30 minutes sitting around waiting, so I went to Wendy's down the road instead. read more
