This location is by far THE WORST compare to all other locations I have been to and I have been to MULTIPLES!!! First off, the portion of the protein ARE TINY! A scoop of steak for a regular is supposed to be ONE SPOONFUL of it, but at this location what you get? A SPRINKLE of steak, as in 10 tiny dices that's barely there. And then when asked if can have a little more, the answer I got was "oh, it just looked smaller because you didn't get rice or beans" BULL CRAP! Second of all, there's no flavour of the meat... All I tasted was the flavours from the sauces and coleslaw. Overall, I'm disappointed..... For the price I'm paying and this is what I'm getting.... Sigh.....

There isn't much to choose from if you're in the mood for Mexican and you're in Cornwall so "any…read moreport in the storm", right? Quesada is a counter order style fast food restaurant. Although I would enjoy a full service Mexican restaurant, Quesada was good in it's own right. When I walked in, there were about 6 people in line in front of me but the restaurant was well prepared. They had 5 staff members working a nice chain, getting through the orders very quickly. Despite being very busy, the staff members were very friendly and served me with a smile. The menu consists of pretty much burritos, quesadillas, and tacos. On this, my first visit here I decided to try the oven roasted chicken burritos. I chose only a regular however you have the option of regular, large, or big ass size. I addition to choosing your meat stuffing, you also get to choose your other fillings such as tomatoes, beans, rice, cilantro, onions, etc... Everything was fresh and pretty tasty. It may not stand up to full service restaurant burrito but it was ready in mere minutes and it still hit the spot. The restaurant dining area is quite small with only a few tables but was kept clean. I cannot comment on the washroom as I did not go in. The parking lot can be a bit of a challenge. It houses vehicles for only Quesada and its neighbour Quiznos and is quite small. I expect the crowd will die down a bit in a few months when the novelty has worn off a bit. The lot will lilkely be a bit easier to navigate then. It also has no access if you are travelling North on Brookdale. I think Quesada is a fairly new chain. I over heard one of the staff members saying this particular location was the 13th one to open. The staff did everything right and the food was decent. A nice break from the typical fast food which is abundant in Cornwall.

The cheap person in me was incredibly excited to head down to Pizza Hut using their "Buy one, get…read moreone free" coupon for their lunch buffet (only available, of course, if you buy 2 drinks). As I have not attended the Pizza Hut in Cornwall in many months, and haven't done the lunch buffet in many *years*, I had great expectations for my lunch. I remembered doing the dessert bar (you could sprinkle nerds on your ice cream!) as well as savoring all I could possibly eat Pizza. When we arrived, we were seated near the buffet. This was a kindness, as we had our week old baby with us, and we were attempting an afternoon outing with the little guy. We were both able to attack the buffet all the while keeping our little one in sight. This was probably the only perk. The waiter took our order of drinks, looking annoyed that we were going to use a coupon, and left, coming back with tall glasses filled with ice and our soft drinks. In four sips, I was down to slurping angrily at the melting ice in my drink. The waiter also moonlighted as the manager, apparently, so I wasn't too sure how any requests for "less ice please" were to be received. Having once been double charged for having requested a refill, I hesitated to ask for another drink when I was done my first. The my dismay, the dessert bar now consisted simply of stale cinnamon buns and a dessert pizza (where was the ice cream!?). After trying a few bites of both (because I did the dessert first - give me a break! I just had a baby!), I comforted myself with thoughts of "main course". Unfortunately, the pizza was equally disappointing. Generally, I enjoy indulging in the fluffy pizza crust and the tasty cheese... ah, just don't expect that to reflect what you'll get at the lunch buffet. Although prepared fresh, they don't seem to be a good representation of what you'd get if you ordered a single pizza, or did take-out. Though for the two of us, this lunch amounted to costing less than 17$ (including a 15% tip!), I think we'll be going back to hitting breakfast places like Spinner's and Kazoolies for our lunches. It seems that I'm ready to take unlimited coffee over unlimited pizza. Pizza Hut's regular menu may be interesting, just don't expect the same quality during the lunch buffet.

What a delight it was to find this family-run place, that is eccentric and very individualistic…read morewhile still catering to what I'd call a baseline of cuisine options. One gets the sense the proprietors just decided on a limited menu of things they liked to cook, a little something for everyone, and have just stuck to that and done everything very, very well. The variety, for example, runs from regional standards like poutine (deliciously done with what appeared to be scratch-made gravy and unusually good cheese curds), PEI mussels, and smoked meat (on brioche!) to some Filipino classics (Adobo! Pansit!) to recipes straight out of Julia Child (salmon with hollandaise, eggs benedict, chicken cordon bleu) to a delicious house special of the only-found-in-Cornwall Cornwall pizza (Edward's, well-recommended) to some nouvelle (a lovely beet salad, a brilliant quinoa paella breakfast melange) to a good old fashioned club sandwich (a dying art). I was particularly taken with the soup of the day -- a tomato basil that sounds plain, but which had the most delicious combination of savory and slightly piquant spicing that was quite unexpected and very welcome. Really unusual. And I take it well that the other chef's special soup was out -- positive proof it's made in small batches fresh. Everything was very tasty, hot out of the kitchen, and fresh. All this with friendly service (well handled in the front of a house by a single server -- we think one of the owners, with a kitchen assistant bringing some things out) and unbelievably good prices (low double digits C$ on everything, which made it very affordable in US$). The decor is a little odd, and the place is a shotgun with only a front window (have they moved? the place looks nothing like previous photos posted here in Yelp), but the vibes and food more than make up for the somewhat strange ambiance. The diners were a mixed crowd as well, and it's always nice to see a place that attracts people on lunch break from their business and students and layabout tourists such as ourselves all in one delicious mix.
