I love Popeye's more than almost any chain, but this location is getting worse and worse. On our last visit, the floor was so slick with grease that I could "skate" around the whole place. And when I got my coveted Red Beans And Rice, it was 95% rice and a few beans - not at all what it's supposed to be. My chicken sandwich was good, and I'm giving credit for that. This location specifically is ridiculous. I've been to plenty of popeyes locations including airport ones where you'd expect it to be a little below the average. Haven't had that happen yet. That being said, I really dont understand this location at all. There's 6 people behind the counter, you can clearly see the ONE dude in the back doing all the actual cooking. The rest are just wandering around trying not to make eye contact with customers. None will come to the register. Additionally, they do not answer the drive through. Always waiting on chicken here, it doesn't matter if it's a busy or slow night. Waits are like 15mins every single time at a minimum, sometimes, 30mins for just 10 chicken. Doesn't look the most sanitary either. I see the cashier working up front handling money then running to the back to drop chicken. Chicken of course, is always delicious, especially the biscuits and cajun fries. Staff are friendly, especially the managers, but I wish the chicken is ready to be boxed. Staff honestly don't dress professional. On several occasions, their hats are sideways and flour stains on their shirt. Parking lot is small. Dining area is small and the tables feel pretty sticky. The people working there seem to genuinely care that the customer is happy an, despite what one might conclude (fast food chain = food the same at all of them) - the cook(s) here obviously care and know what they are doing.
