The actual guy who took and gave me my order was nice. Friendly. Apologetic, even. But the MANAGER? On a power trip, inconsiderate, rude to his customers AND his employees, and ZERO common sense. I pulled up to the order speaker while it was pouring rain. There was no one else in the drive thru, ahead of or behind me. There is no overhang protecting customers from the rain at the speaker, so I pulled up to the window to order - SINCE THERE WERE NO OTHER CUSTOMERS IN THE DRIVE THRU. That's when the manager comes over and starts YELLING at the employee working the drive thru. The employee tells me I'll need to go "around" to the speaker to order, that I can't order at the window, per the manager. Even tho there IS NO ONE ELSE IN THE DRIVE THRU. So I put the car in reverse and go BACK to the speaker. Roll down my window and proceed to get SOAKED while I order ONE MEAL that could have easily been ordered AT THE WINDOW sixty seconds earlier. When I finally get to the window for the second time, the worker is so embarrassed and overly apologetic. I felt so bad for him. But not as bad as I felt for my car or myself, which were now, both, soaking wet. That manager, a black man in his 30's, maybe, with dreads and a little on the portly side, has got a huge attitude. He never spoke to me, directly. But he absolutely verbally abused his employees in front of me. Popeyes would do well to get rid of him, before he alienates more potential customers. read more

My husband and I just walked in 2 1/2 hours before closing. We were told we can't order in and that it's drive through only. The guy was pretty rude too. No one was even going through the drive through and their food heaters were FULL of chicken. I'm pretty sure they just wanted to close and take all the food home. Such poor service and wasted money for whoever owns this location. read more

We used to love Popeyes. Things have seriously changed and the food is not nearly as good as it used to be, The red beans and rice were gummy, the biscuits were doughy in the middle, the chicken was dried out, and there was hardly any gravy on the mashed potatoes. This is our last visit here. read more

Chicken was good. The best part was the drive thru employee Michelle. She was smiling, and very nice and that is so unusual now. Thanks for being so pleasant Michelle, you deserve a raise. read more

We ordered 8 piece got 7. Called after we got home they said they would redo whole order. When I went to get it they only replaced missing piece. They kept my receipt and would not give it back to me. read more

Date of visit Oct 05, 2022 False pricing. The sign indicates $3.99 for their chicken sandwich. I ordered 4. When I arrived at the drive thru window to pay, the female cashier said $19.xx I asked how we arrived at that price if they are $3.99 each. She said they are $4.80 each. I again let her know the sign states $3.99. She simply reiterated they are $4.80. I declined the order. This is an international dishonest business when they knowingly know there is a discrepancy, and don't fix it and charge more than the written price. Check what you are supposed to be paying VS what they say. read more

Horrible location!!!! Food not good and I go mainly for the red beans and rice and it was no RICE. I go back up there cars wrapped around the building. But most of the workers are outside playing around. Tried calling the phone and nobody picked up. read more

Popeye's Chicken - Red beans and suppose to be rice. - Chicken Wings Near Me - Griffin, Georgia

First off , the issues I found are not the direct fault of the staff , they are mostly kids with no guidance or leadership. They are unmotivated and move with out a purpose The one manager on duty was doing everything by herself and the teens were just lazily walking around and taking drink breaks , dining room packed with people waiting for their food and correcting orders . I asked for a refund and was met with anger and a cashier telling me he'd rather go to back to jail than take accountability for messing up my order . The customer service is severely lacking, an error from an employee should not fall on the customer , clearly there is a break down in communication and the restaurant is filthy !!!! There was another customer who waited an hour for her food . I'll never go back ! I wanted to hope that with the correct leadership and a mindset shift it could be better . However they may not even be open to learning a better way , hopeless read more

I don't know why I keep going to this franchise location?!? The food is tasty....very consistent with Popeye's chain food. Food Quality: 4.0 stars. Staff friendliness and customer care: 4.0 stars. ACCURACY of order: -4.0 stars. I have been to the restaurant a minimum of 24 times in the past 2 years...typically in the drive-through. The wait times are enduring...at best...therefore I don't always completely check my order...I'm just relieved to finally have my food...plus, I'd like to trust that people are doing their job...reality is though, that it seems that they aren't doing this so well....90% of the time. So, since I don't live very close to the restaurant, it's just not worth the time or expense to correct the frequency of inaccuracies. I don't write reviews that often...and when I do, I like to point out great restaurants...but tonight was pretty shocking....once again. How do you walk into an open restaurant that sells chicken....and they tell you that they are out of chicken?? Obviously there is a major issue with ordering enough chicken...to sell chicken... and before you ask, no, this has nothing to do with the hyped up chicken sandwich. I just wanted a 3 piece, spicy chicken meal. But no. No spicy chicken available tonight. (It was 8pm on a Saturday night) Sadly, I really love the flavor of Popeye's chicken, so I really hope they can figure things out soon. To Corporate- please send this restaurant more chicken...daily! Whatever the restaurant orders daily..please add 10%, because the demand is obviously much higher than what is being reported. We ended up not ordering anything and going to a different restaurant instead. read more

We visited the Griffin location for the first time today and it was awesome. We went right at 11 AM and the food was fast, friendly, and fresh. We used a coupon for the 10 pc meal. But let's talk about this mac & cheese. IT WAS AWESOME!! It far exceeded my expectations for a fast food chain, which in and of itself rare (mac & cheese). I sure hope they keep it on the menu and that they don't change the recipe. Our chicken and biscuits were hot and fresh as well. Some chains are hit or miss, but this one hit the mark today in every way. read more

Drive through was a reasonable wait. Food was just bad. Ordered just a chicken sandwich, and drove off without checking my meal. The chicken was old, and soggy. The half of the bun was burnt. I mean black charred burnt. Won't be back . read more

Went yesterday to get a family meal. Spent over $30. Hot as hell in there. People are rude as hell, and the wait for your food is too damn long. Damn it's just chicken. Cook the shit. read more

This place is nasty! The employees, including the manager, are thugs. They will not wait on customers who come inside. They say they are only open for Door Dash orders. There is no signage saying that you have to go through the drive through. Employees even followed elderly customers outside to argue about ignoring them when they wanted to place an order. This place should be shut down! The owners should be ashamed! read more

I dislike the fact that i even got food from this location. After walking in so we could use the restroom and my husband went in I was told that it was drive through only. Which at this point sounds absolutely ridiculous but okay. Whatever. I said I would just use the restroom and I will go back out and get in line at which point I was told no. There are no public restrooms. And in the middle of me trying to explain that my husband was already inside I was told that I needed to get out of the building. There is no signage posted that says you can't go in and the doors are unlocked. We got food anyway because I had a craving but our sandwiches and fries are both cold. This is absolutely ridiculous. I am appalled at how rude the staff was and how many times we had to ask for the correct meal. Someone needs to do an overhaul of the staff training. read more

I walked into this restaurant to place an order today. The door was open, and there were no signs stating that the dining room was closed. When I approached the counter, the women working all stared at me, I said "hi" and one woman responded in a very rude and loud tone "we not open inside" . I will never go back to Popeye's due to your stupid, unprofessional associates. read more

So I haven't been to a Popeyes in awhile. I was feeling frisky so I decided to try out the fairly new one here in Griffin. Cashier didn't explain the the menu well, had to order a drink after the fact. So anyways I am sitting at the table eating my lukewarm tenders and a giant cockroach falls on the table in front of me. Worker comes by and we tell him what happened and his reply was "ain't no telling man." Yeah I won't be coming back. read more

So much for a new GOOD fast food restaurant in Griffin. If you want chicken, hit up the Big Chic.... Tenders were dried, hard and scrawny...you couldn't even break them in half. The sausage and chicken jambalaya bowl ended up being mushy rice with chicken skin and burnt ends with no sausage whatsoever. For $25 for four people, i expected better. The staff were very loud in talking to each other and seemed more concerned about who was dating who than servicing customers. First and last time here. Appears as if Popeye's won't last any longer than Mrs. Winner's did. read more

I love this chain (Popeyes) but this one needs work. It hasn't been open long but my wife and I have been through the drive-through several times. Each time we went the order has been wrong. Every time! And the order is the same chicken strip meal with nothing special added. read more

went to griffin popeyes sunday about 11:30 in the morning and noticed a car parked in the front handicapped spot with no permit and with the trunk lid open and a guy standing there , then i noticed a popeyes employee coming outside to the trunk of this kia back and forth in 85 degree weather and took out several boxes and take them inside to the kitchen area ..found out today it is actually the manager himself parking daily in the handicapped spot right out front so i guess he is not worried about his disabled customers.so keep this in mind before going... read more
