This is not a consignment nor a thrift store. This is a one-of-a-kind curated women's clothing and…read moreshoe store. Stores like these are extremely hard to find. Somehow the prices stay reasonable. The jewelry is artsy. The hats are whimsical. The scarves are unique. The shoulder bags are chic. The woman aged 45 and up is guaranteed to find a complimentary look from their selection. Sweaters from Ireland Italy and Denmark will cost over $130-280, but there are equally wonderfully whimsical designs made in China that look expensive -- but are easy on the wallet. Almost every season I am able to find something that is one of a kind garment or jewelry piece which when worn elicits delighted responses from people --even at the grocery store. Their window displays show beautiful draped cloaks and scarves. Right on Water Street and next door to Cafe Tenby this is a fantastic store which deserves the mature woman customer to drop in and look around!

She mailed the shoes back to me and when I tried to return them I was treated RUDELY and told they would not accept them because the store has a two week return policy and the shoes had been worn. The two week policy works well for a store with such POOR customer service because returns are inconvenient for out of town shoppers. I'm a local, I'll NEVER shop there again and I'll tell all my friends about this DREADFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE.

This particular spot is mostly furniture and home decor items, with lots of glass and crystal, too. Everything is clean and well-organized, so you don't have to go digging too much for treasures. In the back are small sections for books, housewares, linens, and there's even a sewing/craft area. Prices can be a little unpredictable, with some items very fairly priced while identical or similar items are priced very high. This especially applies to books, which are more consistently priced like a higher end used bookstore than thrift shop pricing. The staff has always been fairly friendly when we visit, though not exactly super helpful if you have a question about a specific item.

When i asked about a dish (same size same maker same color) priced at 6.99, and its counterpart was priced at 13.99 ...the older lady behind the desk got flustered and said the price is what it is, do you want it or not?...VERY RUDE! We also asked the price of 2 Barbie's for our granddaughter...another employee jumped in to tell me these are vintage Barbie's...yes they were old but they were in rough shape with matted hair and off brand very cheap clothes...Bottom line; They actually think they are above their shoppers...someone from the habitat ought to let them know that moving things out the door is the goal...not to gouge people.
