Shana and I were here in this part of Vegas to see Screame'd an unauthorized musical parody and…read morestopped here for some mocktails as Shana is a recovering alcoholic. It was a very unique vibe with cool paintings and couches to sit at, it is closed up tight so you are enclosed and cut off from the outside so relaxing ambiance. SHANA SPEAKS: My husband and i were in the arts district ro see a show at the Majestic Repertoire Theater. We arrived early and saw Velveteen Rabbit across the street. I'd seen that bar appear on a few "best of" lists for mocktails in Vegas, so we decided to try it out since we had time. First impression: the place is cute as hell. Plush seating, moody lighting, amazing decor. It's the kind of place to have a chill date or even go solo and bring a book. My husband and I took seats at the bar and were immediately greeted by the bartender. When we inquired about mocktails he had several recommendations for us. We each picked a different drink (unfortunately I do not remember their names) and he set to work preparing them. Our drinks were attractive and delicious! If you are someone who enjoys artful cocktails and are off the booze, I highly recommend Velveteen Rabbit. They have earned their place on the "best of" lists. Their mocktails are crafted with pride and care. The service is great as well, you are seated and everyone is great.

The atmosphere immediately took my wife and me back to our early adult years in the best possible way. The dim lighting, mellow crowd, and music all worked together perfectly, and somehow the playlist felt like it matched the crafted cocktails and overall vibe of the room. One of the things we appreciated most was being able to actually sit together and have a conversation without having to yell over loud music or a packed crowd. It felt relaxed, mature, and genuinely enjoyable--a breath of fresh air compared with so many bars that seem focused more on being loud than creating a good atmosphere. The cocktails were excellent, the bartenders were top-notch, and the entire experience felt thoughtful from beginning to end. If you're looking for a place with a mature vibe, great drinks, good music, and an atmosphere where you can actually enjoy the person you're with, Velveteen Rabbit is a must-visit.

For anyone checking out this review before Halloween, highly recommend checking this place out…read moresoon!!!! :) Came here for a nice post dinner drink and overall, it was a great experience ~ From the festive Halloween decor all over the restaurant to the friendly staff in costumes, spending time here feels like you're in a different fun space. Things to note: ~ Reservations: Highly recommend!! If you have a reservation, you can sit at a table for up to 2 hours. ~ Drinks: Creative and strong. There's a fun Halloween theme menu and of the drinks I tried, love the Vampiro and the Spooky Juice. ~ Staff: Friendly and welcoming! ~ Food: Personally, didn't try any food since I was too full but the menu definitely looked appetizing! ~Parking: There's a lot right in front of the bar, so no worries there. Overall, I can't wait to come back again and try out more fun drinks and tasty sounding food :D

The decor is pure eclectic chaos in the best way and the whole place just feels like an escape from everything else going on in Vegas. Bartenders were friendly, knew their stuff, and the drink specials were solid. We stuck to the cocktails and they were excellent, strong, balanced, and exactly what you want in a proper tiki bar. They do have food, though we didn't try any this time. Whether you're a local or just visiting, this is a fun spot to duck into with friends or family and disappear into some full on tiki madness for a while. Definitely worth the short trip off the Strip.

The real winner is the $15 steak special, available all day Sunday and after midnight. My relatives had just arrived from out of town, and we decided to stop by your location to catch up, have a few drinks, and gamble at the bar. Despite the bar being virtually empty, our experience ended on a very negative note. Upon cashing out, I was handed a bill for nearly $60. When I questioned this, the bartender rudely explained that we "didn't play enough" to have our drinks comped. Having frequented gaming establishments throughout this area for nearly eight years, I have never experienced a situation where active players were charged for drinks without warning, let alone treated so dismissively when asking for clarification The total lack of hospitality and unprofessionalism shown by your staff was extremely off-putting. As a result, we will not be returning to your establishment, and we will be sharing our negative experience with our local network. I hope you address your drink comping policy and customer service standards with your staff for future patrons

The original owners are back, and with new ownership and management, the transformation has been nothing short of amazing. From the moment you walk in, you can tell there's a renewed commitment to exceptional customer service, quality, and creating a first-class experience. The humidor is fully stocked with an outstanding selection of premium cigars, the bar is once again a great place to unwind, and they feature live entertainment five days a week, creating a fun and welcoming atmosphere. One of the biggest highlights is the spacious outdoor patio--it's the perfect place to enjoy a great cigar, your favorite drink, and relax with friends. If you visited La Casa in the past and left disappointed, I highly recommend giving it another shot. The original owners have done an incredible job bringing this place back to life, and it truly feels like the premier cigar lounge it was always meant to be. Highly recommended!

I recently came back- after they moved and it's not the same both the ambiance and service has gone down! I never thought I would say it about a local Vegas company, but I might recommend a spot on the Strip over Casa based on my last visit. You can't lounge when everything feels crammed, the original location was a bit more spacious compared to this location. I understand that some want a intimate close with their group/buddies but some just want a bit of space. It wasn't as much of an issue this time because it wasn't as busy. Drinks used to be good but it seems like their bartender (forgot the name) needs help or training... shouldn't be struggling making a Manhattan or old fashioned. I might consider going back when I go back, but I hope it changes for the best.
