The referee kept the audience involved and there was never a boring moment. One nice thing was that I saw audience members of all ages, from children up to seniors (my mom is 72). She told me to show my email to the guy @ the showroom enterance. So my man & I went over to the guy and showed him my email. He then asked for my ID & checked my name off the list and told us we were all set. We walked into the showroom (the show was in progress) & there was no one to great us. We had no idea where we were suppose to sit????????? Every other time I have gotten my tickets from this local group we have been greeted by an usher & have been brought to our seats. As we stood there for a few minutes we noticed a security guard & called him over. I asked him where we are suppose to sit & he said "anywhere." So we found us a booth, off to the side wasn't the best view of the stage. The comedian that was performing is who we thought was the main guy but come to find out it wasn't him. LOL He was just opening. He was good too! A cocktail waitress happened to come over my way so I place a drink order. A double vodka, soda & Jack and Coke. She asked if I wanted to leave my tab open I said "sure, as long as you come back." LOL She said she would and she did. We ordered another round of drinks but I got a single vodka this time. I had asked for my tab. She ran my card, brought me my tab & it was $60 and some change. I was shocked! I'm on Freemont street which is a lot cheaper then the strip & we only had 4 drinks, one being a double so lets just call it 5 drinks. I had added a tip on and then asked her to bring me an itemized copy of my bill. I really HATE when a business just brings you the total. I want to see what I'm being charged for as people do make mistakes. I get the itemized copy and 20% gratuity has been added on. WTF?!?!?!?!? The waitress, ANA didn't even bother to tell me that gratuity was added on and I ended up tipping on top of it. Let me tell you I wasn't very happy & found this to be very sneaky. So I went up into their tiny bar to the bartender & said. "Either you guys can take care of this issue for me or I will have my bank." I told the guy my situation & told him I wanted to be refunded my tip that I left since gratuity was added on already. I told him how wrong that is to do without being told. He told me it was on the show tickets. I told him I didn't get a ticket due to the company that I got it thru. I got an email confirmation and I doubled checked it when I got home and no where dose it say that gratuity is automatically added onto drinks. I gave my experience a 2 star rating. One due to not being told that we needed to seat ourselves and that gratuity is added onto your bill. They should have a sign up front when checking in since not everyone is notified of this. There is covered parking at the theatres. The show starts at 8 or a bit later as was the case Tuesday and there are a number of comics--6 including the host Evan Green on the night I was there. The club is still in a sot opening phase even though their Facebook page says they opened April 1st. Before going to the 3rd floor, I stopped at the second to check in and I got a soda at the large bar the Eclipse complex has. There is a very large lounge area on the second floor and this is where the film screens are if you're seeing a movie. You are allowed to take food and drink to the 3rd floor to the comedy club. The club is in one corner of a large space equivalent in size to the second floor that could be used for a dance, a private party, or in this case, a corner that's set aside for the Tickle Me Comedy Club. There weren't many people there when I took my seat and one of the comics asked people to move forward to fill in near the stage. More people came later and they seemed to hold off starting until there were no more arriving. This proved to be a mixed bag. Spot lights for the comics in the back made a shadow on the stage of part of my back and head. The problem that was worse than this was they have spotlights directed from behind the comic to the audience. My closer seat put me right into a direct line with one of the spots and it was irritating. I should have moved. That's my fault, but is it really needed? The comics were a mixed bag. With having 6, their sets are shorter and if you're not amused by a particular comic, they'll soon be off anyway. During the show, one of the comics abruptly ended his time and just said thanks and left the stage. It was somewhat uncomfortable. I don't know if it was because the laughter just wasn't there for him. Overall, the comics were not that funny to me. Two of them mentioned Yelp, one in passing, but one pushed it more. He directed his gaze to someone behind me and said, "You didn't think that was funny? I suppose you put it on Yelp that Carl isn't funny. You can say Carl isn't funny." The audience member didn't say anything but I'll say it for him, "Carl, you're not funny!!" The comics never suspected I'd be the person in the crowd who Yelps. I'd avoid Tickle Me. I'm not ticklish nor was I tickled!

I ended up getting VIP tickets to attend again and my daughter had her best friends in town from Atlanta, it was one of the girls' 21st birthday so I thought, PERFECT!, I will get tickets for her birthday it would be great to see a comedy show! Well...apparently there was an event on the 3rd floor as we were told so the comedy show was held in one of the theaters on floor 2. The GM was very apologetic and said there were not any seats left however, they were working on bringing some seats in to accommodate everybody. Now, I completely understand that I happened to get free seats because of my first experience however, this was definitely NOT a VIP experience nor a VIP seat but whatever, free is free so I'm not going to complain. Waiting for the fold up chairs to be brought in there was a man who was also waiting and holy crap was he pissed the eff off. He said he had paid extra and was not going to sit in the fold up chairs and was being super rude and loud and was not only making me uncomfortable but the girls I was with uncomfortable and I know the other patrons and staff uncomfortable. Totally understandable because again, if I had paId for VIP seats and had to sit in a fold up chair while everybody else got to sit in reclining leather seats I'd be super upset as well. Anyhow...the host comes out....this man starts to BOO!! LOUDLY!! It gets kinda worse, the host/comedian says there will not be any heckling tolerated anD he will be asked to leave. He settled down and shortly after here comes a freakin COUCH for he and his wife and his friend to sit on. Yes we could see but the people in the recliners to the right of us could not. I could hear the husband and wife talking saying they were unable to see. So the first comic...i missed....this whole situation was quite distracting The rest of the show was good. The closing comic was great. We each got a drink out of it. I did hear the host say there was food and drinks able to be ordered and I did see waitresses walking by but not one stopped to ask us what we wanted to eat or drink so 2 of us got up and got our own drinks with others from the theatre and missed part of the show. I do see several other reviewers had great experiences here so I'm not going to deter anybody from coming. I guess I've just had bad luck the 2 times I've been here. If I ever come again, I will have to come alone because bringing people here just hasnt been imprEssive thus far.

The Horseshoe has a couple different showrooms so I had to ask 2 different employees where it was located since the first one wasn't sure because "he was still new." You have to head towards the poker room & take the escalators upstairs. There are bathrooms right next to the poker room but there are also bathrooms upstairs outside the Laugh Factory. We did arrive after the show started so there was no wait. There was a lady at the podium who checked my friend & I in. We stopped at the bar to get drinks before going into the show but there was no bartender, I think they had stepped away? The showroom had a cocktail waitress who happened to catch us standing at the bar and took our order and told us she would bring our drinks out to us. The guy who was seating us told us we had two choices of where we could sit so we sat left (facing the stage) of the stage. There was a small table with 4 chairs and we were the only 2 at the table which was nice cause it could feel crowded with others joining. We weren't far from the stage. Seats were OK, showroom temperature was just right. We saw comedian Jackie Flynn who was funny. My friend got a canned beer & I got 2 regular size canned seltzers. The cocktail waitress never came back by our table after dropping off our drinks and the check. Glad I had grabbed two! lol. We do enjoy the comedians @ The Laugh Factory & will definitely be back!

It's outside, in uncomfortable chairs, and truly just takes away from the comedy club patrons. *Suggestion, stop with the side show (unless you can make it look more professional and less side show carnival) and find a way to tie the delicious BBQ, and maybe a live local band into the outdoor 'pre-comedy show' This would bring in more revenue, more patrons, and make this a more professional event. The interior is confusing, because it looks like a space that is also used for something else. What? I have no idea, but it doesn't make sense. *Suggestion, get rid of all the clutter, build a real bar for the bar tender to use and look more professional. The actual stage and seating are okay, and its intimate enough that you can interact with comics that want to, and it still has enough seating that the place can bring in a profit. *Suggestion, again have a real bar and tie some of the bbq options into table finger food that makes patrons want to drink more. The comics were fun, and honestly were good for the venue. So no bad marks on them, as they were funny and entertaining. The host for the night was HILARIOUS, making jokes off the people in the front row like Chop Towbin AKA King of Cars! The opening act for Jimmy O. Yang was even funnier, and then for the main event - Jimmy O. Yang had me LAUGHING HYSTERICALLY! I hope one of his shows from the tour ends up on Netflix or Amazon! Some tips for first-timers to the theater: 1. Follow the signs for "The Mirage Theater." Aces of Comedy is in the back (like wayyy back of Mirage). It is pretty much a diagonal B line from the parking garage to the theater. 2. The entry process was a breeze. They scanned our electronic tickets and voila, you're in. All the employees were super nice and guided us right to our seats. 3. The theater is a good, intimate size. Stick with section 102 seats and you can't go wrong. The seats slope upward from the stage. We were in the orchestra section, EE 9 and 10, which was pretty dead center to the stage. To me, these seats were PERFECT and would be the seats I would want to get again! 4. The smell of movie theater popcorn will lure you! Fortunately, I practiced self-restraint as I knew I would be getting popcorn all up in the air as I laughed! Go to the Aces of Comedy and get your LAUGH ON!!! :)

When I found out he'd be performing at the Mirage Casino the same time I was going to be in town, it was a no brainer. I had to go. Fluffy had Martine Moreno and Alfred Robles open up for him and they were amusing but Gabriel was the reason I was there. It was a different kind of show because he shared a lot of personal stuff about what he has been going through recently. I can't imagine how difficult it is to go on stage and entertain an audience with humor when some really heavy changes are happening. Don't get me wrong, the show was hilarious for the most part but really touching as well. I don't want to spoil anything for you before you see him or his next comedy special coming soon. It will be different. Now the venue. The room is just large enough to fit a good size crowd but not so big that sight lines are affected or that you lose that sense of intimacy with the performer. Due to my current mobility issues I required some ADA assistance and the staff really delivered overall. There is a phone number you can call to have security meet you at the north entrance by registration and they will provide you with a wheelchair and wheel you to the theater which is a good distance from the self park garage. The security personnel was very friendly and never made me feel as if it was an inconvenience for them. They brought me up the elevator all the way to my seat upstairs. The staff member in charge at the theater was so sweet and accommodating. She made checking in with my mobile tickets a breeze and provided information on how I would be escorted back to the north entrance after the show was over. Be aware it takes a lonnng time for them to send someone to help you though, before and after the show. ADA seating was very comfortable with wide rolling seats and lots of open space. Even though the seats are in the last row, the view was excellent. Important note: the ushers are hardcore (even the older ladies) and will have you thrown out for talking too loud or yelling at the performers or even worse, recording the show on your phone. They may look like grannies but they will come at you like a pit bull if you act stupid or break the rules. Granny don't play dat'.
