Although I gasped at the selection of international food items, and my reason for going *cololmbian…read morefoods* I was disappointed at finding that my favorite chocolate in the world was stale and white. The expiration was 2023, but I imagine the heat and improper storage conditions is what must have made them go bad. I've grown up with these chocolates and I can tell how fresh they are by the smell alone. Knowing they had gone bad, I still went ahead and took a bite and the taste was as disappointing as I imagined they would be. They were only 3.99 for a pack so I decided to let it go. Now, had it been the usual 9$ I pay in New York, then I would have rushed back in there for my money. My suggestion to the business, since you obviously can't open and check every single chocolate, open the packs, and sell them individually for 25 or 50 cents a piece. Although you might lose a couple of dollars per pack, @25cents, ($1.49) or make an extra dollar @ 50c it sure beats the bad review and bad feeling for the customer who wasted $4 for stale chocolate. Considering here in Texas, that's half of someone's a hourly wage.
Anyway, as far as the business, they have a good selection of Indian spices, some Peruvian spices, some Colombian candy/ which at this point I wouldn't trust, frozen Colombian and Indian foods. It's a good place to visit if you miss wherever you're from, or just want to expand your pallets.
