I called first thing in the morning and they were able to take him that day even with late notice. The staff members were super friendly and welcoming. The facility was clean but it did have a funky odor to it. Almost smelled like a dirty diaper. Not sure if that is from the cleaning supplies but my dog smelled like it after coming home. Overall I had a great experience and so did my energetic pup.

They were in dire need of Bobs spa services as I call them! Stinky little puppies, needed serious fluff and scrub services that Bob offers! Bob picked up my little stinkers by 7:30 in his vehicle, not my clean car, and dropped them back off by noon! My dogs were smelling wonderful, and their coats were shinny and fresh! It was a first time for my 8 month old puppy, Maximus a French Bulldog, and he loved every minute of his bath! My Lab, Sampson, and Puggle Sofia, love going to Bobs resort, because they are spoiled and love the FIRST CLASS SERVICE Bob offers them! Bob I can't thank you enough for driving to my house for pick up and delivery of my little stinkers! You are a first class operation, beautiful facility and my dogs run to your door when I drive them to your kennel for over nighters! So if you live in Landenberg, Kennett Square, West Grove, Avondale, or the Chadds Ford area, this is the best place for your precious babies! Thanks Bob Michele Guizzetti

Owners have yet to formally apologize or contact me since this tragic incident. Nothing brings my swest girl back and they had one job to keep her safe and care for her. She didn't even live one day or some meal in their care. This should have never happened, My Kyra left my house walking on all 4s and came home as a box of dust. Kyra was attacked there August 2024

She was running she was playing. She was eaten. She enjoyed her treats. She enjoyed shrimp. enjoyed her tuna and she loved chicken on a day of the visit. Even the vet said that she was extremely healthy except she was a couple ounces overweight at that point she weigh 3 lbs. 79 oz. during a visit she had gotten a distemper shot and a microchip and her first check up. They did give me a pamphlet which I couldn't see that much due to poor eyesight, but they did tell me she was going to be sleeping a lot. I took her home on that night. She slept, but I also noticed she wasn't eaten or drinking anything I called the vet immediately they told me it's perfectly normal. Give it 24 hours the next day, Saturday, August 29, 2026 I still noticed she wasn't eaten and in my heart I knew something was wrong. I called the vet and the vet said she's OK give it another 24 hours. I told them that there's something wrong with my cat cause I sensed it cause they see my cat they said, unless I have $85 extra which I did not have at that time they would not see her, but they did tell me to give it 24 more hours all day Saturday she did not eat on Sunday, August 30, 2026. She still wasn't eating or drinking anything I contacted the vet on-call services which were no help. They told me that they would make a note to the vet to have them call me back Monday morning, Monday, August 31, 2026. I then got a cough from the vet who proceeded to tell me to come down to the vet and pick up some wet, cat food, and a syringe to administer ibuprofen. I asked them could they please see my cat they said again unless I had $85 they won't be able to see my cat before I continue. Let me explain. I get one check a month due to SSI. I paid the vet $185 and all my bills so I had no money left over. I explained this to the vet the day of the visit, but this was all my money they again said they would not see her unless I had 85 extra dollars which I did not have all day Monday I spent the morning calling the Humane Society and animal control and other vets. Nobody would help. I then contacted my vet again this vet and I begged them to see her. They still wouldn't see her without any money. They did manage to see her after I sent them a message threatening them and if they don't see my cat, I will report them to the state of Maryland about a half hour later they text me back and told me to bring my cat in at the time of that visit. she was very dehydrated. They had to give her IV of fluid at that point. They told me that they did an ultrasound, an x-ray and claim that due to fleas, the alignment of her stomach is messed up. I've never heard of such thing. They told me three options one I can get the surgery 2. Surrender her animal control and have them take care of her or three bring her home and watch her die. I told him that I would do the surgery and work out a payment plan. I told him they can charge my check. I mean my card on the 29th of every month until the bill was paid. They then started coming up with excuses. One excuse was they didn't know if they had it in the schedule and then they said that they don't even know if they could do the surgery. They told me to bring the cat home and they'll call me in the morning. They called me Tuesday September 1 and told me they would not be able to do the surgery and call around other vets, unfortunately no other vet would help again. Let me remind you that my cat Ranger was perfectly healthy. In fact hours before taking her. She was eaten she was playing she was playing with her toys and she was running around happy after we saw the vet on the 28th. She went downhill and I have plenty of people to verify that unfortunately do just one quick animal Hospital today September 9, 2026 about 720 this morning. I went to go check on my cat and she was dead. I tried to reach reached out to them via text messages. They never replied back. I tried calling they let the car go to voicemail. I text them. and asked for the manager to call me back they said we're sorry for your loss, but we will not be calling you back and told me to stop calling him. Nobody should bring their animal to his vet. Nobody what they did to my cat is wrong. The state is investigating them. I've supplied the state with the call logs of me calling them with text messages, videos of how she was before the vet and how she was after the vet as well as I supplied them with pictures of how she looked before the vet from 28 August to 31 August she lost a pound again she weighed 3 lbs. 79 oz. on a 28 of August. She was down a pound in three days this is a horrible vet. They're very disrespectful and extremely rude. They don't care about pets. They only care about the money.

The staff are so professional and friendly. My dog actually seems happy to be dropped off in their care which feels great! They asked very important questions about my dog when we first initially came and continue to do so every time. They actually know my dogs' personality and we discuss group play activities. They even suggested TLC time with my dog which greatly helped her initial anxiety. Whenever we pick up Penny, she is clean and smells great! They give me a full report and most times, I can find pictures of her time spent there on Facebook. While there are some reviews on here that seen negative based upon how the dog reacted, that doesn't reflect all things that are important when boarding a pet. Animals react differently to different situations. I feel confident if I asked for a picture of my animal while on vacation, they would send one to me right away to ease my anxiety. My dog shakes terrible when she goes to the groomer but that doesn't make get a bad groomer, it just makes my dog nervous. I highly recommend Country Comfort Kennels and hope I have added some truly positive thoughts about how wonderful this facility is.. I've been bringing my mutt here since the day I brought her home from the shelter over four years ago. They know Georgia well and they treat her like the spoiled brat that she is. They deal with her being blind and how she's become a bit more cranky as she's gotten older, and they deal with her absolute hatred of having her nails clipped. They treat her kindly and gently and she likes the girls and ladies that work here. I read the one negative review by Dead J., and while I will not attempt to call him a liar or claim that he never experienced the treatment that he wrote about in his review I can honestly state that I have never received or witnessed any other customer receive service like he says that he experienced. To me the kindness and great treatment that my dog and I receive here is more than worth the extra five bucks that I'd save by going to PetValu. Corporate stores have such high turnover that you rarely ever see the same employees from month to month; 4 Paws is a small business that has retained employees for years. 4 Paws has self-service bathing and full service grooming, though I highly recommend that you call a week or so in advance to schedule full-service grooming as they are a pretty busy place, especially around holidays. They also have a supply of dog treats, toys, collars, and leashes at reasonable prices. The only complaint that I could have about 4 Paws is that I would like there to be more than only two towels in each self-service bath; however, they will supply you with more towels upon request. I wholeheartedly recommend 4 Paws Spa. Take your pooch there and give them a shot.
