Without fail, I am ticketed each and every time I try to use the Amon G. Carter location. This is in spite of "checking-in" in order to get a parking pass. What a mess!) The Ryan Family YMCA is smaller by comparison, but with a few extra amenities, such as an outdoor pool. The weight equipment also seems a lot newer than what I was accustomed to. Overall, I thought this particular YMCA was a good fit for the neighborhood it's located in; however, I may try to give the downtown location another chance. Who knows?!

The showers take 10m to warmup... the drains are clogged... a bunch of equipment is out of order and some is broken with no sign on them... seems like someone stole a bunch of the cable attachments and the owners just never replaced them... and it's fairly dirty compared to other YMCA I've been to. They are putting cheap soap in the EcoLab soap dispensers... Just a lot of corners being cut here and the owners aren't reinvesting into the quality and maintenance of their facility

It's small, but there is still plenty of tables and chairs. They have a small kid area, a slide, and a lap pool. They also have lockers, life jackets, dressing rooms for women, men, and a family room. They do not have a concession stand, however, you are more than welcome to bring in your coolers and food to enjoy a day there. Despite people bringing in food, the pool and the pool area was clean. Will definitely visit again before summer is over and excited to have a new spot to take the kids out next year.

We got there mid afternoon and, by chance, were able to score a table. Outdoor pool is divided into shallow and deep ends. Also, it has a diving board an adjacent overhead shaded overhang, seats, loungers and a cantina for concessions. Mind the cantina hours. I purchased the nachos with jalapeños. Cheese topping was ample. Portion was totally share-able. Remember to ask for paper towels! Staff was on their game. Door staff was able to locate our reservation pretty efficiently. Life guards were alert. Outdoor pool has a process where all kids are asked out of the pool for the last 20 minutes on the hour. This allows for adults to share in an adults only swim. There's an outdoor shower, water fountain and restroom with hand dryers. Indoor area includes a waiting pool connected to the Lazy River, a couple slides, and another break out pool. There are chairs that hugged the walls for bathing suit cover ups, shoes, etc. There are no indoor cubbies. I would say bring toys/ etc items in here at your own risk. The Lazy River keeps a decent pace. There was an incident of sick child in the water and life guards handled it accordingly. The area was restricted for the rest of our time spent there. Splash pad section rocked. Fountains that would dump water, play squirting cannons, frogs to sit upon and so on. All and all, this was a solid place to have a kid's birthday. Additional families had the same idea. Many a celebration was had that day. Parking available for the center. Our party had a blast with the party favor being that kids slept hard that evening. A perfect regrouping before school beginning again. Enjoy!

The swimming experience was enjoyable, but the food was very disappointing. After swimming for a while, we decided to visit the food stand. We ordered two ICEEs, two pizzas, and one order of nachos. Unfortunately, the ICEEs were not very cold, were only partially filled, and did not meet our expectations. The pizzas were also disappointing. They were extremely small--about the size of my hand--and much smaller than a typical personal pizza. The sauce appeared dried out, and the pizza was served cold. The nachos were equally underwhelming and did not seem fresh. Overall, while we enjoyed the swimming facilities, the food quality did not match the experience. I would recommend bringing your own food if permitted, rather than purchasing food on-site. 30$ was the cost by the way

The Club is noticeably cleaner, with an attentive crew cleaning much more than before, though the pool & hot tub areas remain a bit sketchy as it is hard to keep them clean with so much usage. Unfortunately, the Corporate office does not value the 35-40 members who attend specifically for the morning water aerobics class. The canceling of that morning class for 2 weeks with no substitute to take it was inexcusable. Complaints to Michael and Aressia at the Corporate office fell on deaf ears, with the both of them just paying lip service that they would look into the situation, yet never having the courtesy to return the phone call as they said they would. Time to check out the YMCA nearby in Benbrook, which seems to have a more consistent water aerobics program, from what I've been told.

Hawk 3 had branched into the solar field, completely blind and with zero resident knowledge. The…read moresalesman assigned to me provided promise after promise, all backed by pamphlets in his sales binder (i was to get a copy at the end of the project-never happened). They were working in conjunction with a company called dusk to dawn solar. They seemed even less reputable (if that is possible)! I was told/showed that these panels would begin producing energy immediately, it took almost 3 months I was told/showed that the app for my phone would show each panel individually to determine if one was faulty and needed replacing-the app shows the entire system (at best) I was told/showed that if the system did not produce as advertised, a stipend would be forthcoming making up the difference until the issue could be resolved. (should have known that was a lie!) I was told/showed that the panel were impact resistant to hail and that they were insured separate from my homeowners insurance in the unlikely event one was broken. Half of them are shattered on my roof now, dealing with homeowners insurance to get monies to replace. All in all, I got taken good. I didn't think, that with the monies (and this was a big expensive project) i spent, i would be lied to, to this degree. Just goes to show...trusting contractors is risky. Do your homework and avoid companies that blantantly lie. I pray for better luck/results with your project
