5 Star Review for Vista Pools We recently completed our pool…read moreproject with Vista Pools, and the experience was exceptional from start to finish. Scott and JJ were fantastic during every phase -- initial contact, planning, pool selection, installation, and final walkthrough. With their guidance, we chose the Thursday Pools Aspen model (35×16) in Caribbean Sparkle. They clearly explained the pros and cons of each option, helped us understand what would work best for our yard, and were always willing to answer questions promptly and honestly. The installation process was flawless. The crew was professional, efficient, and respectful of our property. The pool was set perfectly, the equipment layout was clean, and there were no issues whatsoever during the build. Another major positive was their transparent payment schedule. Each payment aligned with a real project milestone, which added a level of trust and clarity that many contractors lack. Vista Pools delivered top tier service, craftsmanship, and communication. Scott and JJ truly went above and beyond. Highly recommended.

Vista Pools built us an absolutely incredible custom pool, and I can't recommend Scott, JJ, and…read moretheir team highly enough. I'm a lifelong swimmer, so I wasn't looking for a typical backyard pool. I wanted a large custom gunite / plaster pool with a full 25-yard lap lane, a shallow end, and enough space for the family to enjoy it too. Several neighbors had used Vista for fiberglass pools and had great experiences, so I reached out. Scott understood what I was trying to build right away. He put together a quote and an initial design, and after some back-and-forth, we had a plan that looked fantastic. We also walked through it at WalkYourPlans, which helped us make a few final adjustments before construction started. Once they got moving, they REALLY got moving. Within about a week, we had an enormous hole in the yard, and from there the work was nearly nonstop. Anyone who's dealt with contractors knows how unusual that is. Crews showed up, work got done, and the project kept progressing. I honestly couldn't believe how quickly and smoothly everything moved. We also made a significant change to the shallow end during the project, and they were able to accommodate it without throwing the entire schedule off. The quality of the work was excellent across the board. A friend with metalworking experience looked over the rebar and was very impressed. The gunite and plaster turned out beautifully. The tile crew nailed the lap-lane markings exactly the way I wanted them. My only small regret is that we didn't choose darker marker tiles on the stairs, but that's a design choice on our end, not a problem with the workmanship. Vista also selected a full Hayward equipment setup for us, including filtration, lighting, heating and cooling, automation, and saltwater chlorination. Everything has worked together very well. We started with the normal new-plaster process and switched over to saltwater afterward. One thing I'd tell anyone considering a large gunite / plaster pool is to take the startup and maintenance seriously. The bigger the pool, the more water chemistry and cleaning you're dealing with. During the first month, daily brushing is essential. Honestly, twice a day is even better if you can manage it. Keeping dirt and debris off the new plaster takes effort, and it's definitely a workout. Vista will get you started and answer questions, but after the handoff, maintaining the water becomes your responsibility. Buy a good test kit and the proper cleaning tools before the pool is finished. If you enjoy learning how everything works, you'll probably have fun with it. If not, budget for professional pool service. For me, this pool has genuinely been life-changing. I knew I'd enjoy having one, but I didn't realize how much it would mean to have a lap lane available whenever I wanted it. It turns out this was basically a lifelong dream I hadn't fully recognized until it was finished. Scott and JJ delivered something truly special for us. The pool looks amazing, works beautifully, and has completely changed how we use our home. I'd hire Vista Pools again without hesitation.

My wife Samantha was looking for a contractor to build an outdoor kitchen for me and found and interviewed three to four different vendors. Ultimately Chad won our business with a bid that represented the best value and the most aggressive timeline. Chad's subcontractors were all professional and showed up on time. They made recommendations along the way that ultimately cost us a bit more money, but they were well received and well worth it in the end. Chad is an excellent project manager and has good relationships with his subcontractors which is key in getting them to show up nowadays. Chad was frequently on the jobsite checking on progress and ensuring we were happy with each phase of the project. Chad's project management skills are what sets him apart from other contractors in my mind. He plans for each phase of the project and ensures the client is happy before proceeding to the next phase which eliminates surprises, costly redoes, and keeps the project on time. Given the opportunity, my wife and I would certainly consider Chad and Beyond the Backdoor as a frontrunner for another outdoor project. His company delivers excellent quality with great value and gets the job done on time. If anyone wants to see pictures of my project, please contact Chad and he will let me know. We struggled to choose between asphalt or concrete, but after chatting with Glenn from Sam The Concrete Man, the decision was clear and we couldn't be happier! From start to finish, the crew was absolutely exceptional. They clearly explained the entire process, went to great lengths to ensure proper drainage and prep, and even spent time walking through the plan with our building neighbor next door to ensure that everyone was happy. After 2 days of non-stop work, we now have an incredible parking lot that we will enjoy for decades to come. As both a homeowner and commercial building owner, I have had many negative or neutral experiences with contractors - I'm sure we all have! Not showing up when they promised that they would... bait-and-switch tactics, no attention to detail, etc. I can 100% assure you that a project experience with Sam The Concrete Man will be a breath of fresh air! The owner Glenn and his entire crew are always on time, communicative, detail-oriented, and good-hearted honest people that love delighting their customers. We're saving up for a new patio at our home, and when we're ready to make it happen, Sam the Concrete Man will be our first call.

Monte came out and met with me. He was very personable. I was looking at Sam The Concrete Man and OKCrete, one of their top competitors in the area. I settled on Sam The Concrete Man because Monte impressed me and did a great job with the estimate, and because the bid came in at a fair price. The crew that did the job was led by Jose. At the end of the day-long project, they realized they had made a mistake regarding the leveling of the concrete. Immediately, on their own and without me even requesting it, they volunteered to tear up the concrete and re-pour it to fix the issue. Sure enough, the next day, they were back at my house tearing up the concrete they had just poured, and then they fixed the issue within one day. It turned out beautifully. They really took care of me, and made a big fan out of me. They lost a lot of money on this job because they had to tear the concrete they had poured out and re-pour it to fix the issue, but they never complained. They took accountability on their own--something many businesses would not have done. They resolved the issue, and treated me exceptionally well through the process. The end result was beautiful and very well-done. I highly recommend Sam The Concrete Man Tulsa--they showed through this job how much integrity they have! 5/5 Stars.
