Andy after grooming.

She was amazing!! So friendly and sweet to Andy. She gave me updates on how he behaved. Perfect cut and trim. Amazing job

Very disappointed in the lack of professionalism shown by Sherry. I have been searching for a good dog groomer for quite a while now. Poochie's was recommended by a neighbor/close friend as well as my sister who used to use them. I was very excited and looking forward to their services. I scheduled with Sherry via text 3 wks prior. She asked questions about our dog including what kind of dog is he? How much does he weigh? And can you send a picture? I let her know he is a lab, weighs 50 lbs, and sent a photo to show his true size. She went forward with booking and that was that. The day of our appt came along and when I texted Sherry to please text when she arrives(I was putting my little one down for a nap), she responded saying in much detail how bad of a day she was having and that she was running behind. Well we all have bad days, and I replied saying no problem if she's late and hope your day gets better. Now our original appt was scheduled for 12:30. After I said it was fine to be late...Sherry asked if she could fit in 2 other dogs before mine because GPS said she was closer to them than me. I politely, once again, said that is fine. She did not show up to my home I until about 5:30pm. I was no longer home, so my step daughter dealt with Sherry. She came to our door, saw our lab(who was a bit timid) and immediately looked at him and said, "Ya, I don't think I'm gonna groom him" She went on to say she thought she was grooming a "small lab". I'm not sure where the miscommunication was being that I sent a photo of him. She kept saying she was not going to groom him & went on about how she is old and she thinks our dog will bite her. These were all assumptions..our dog has NEVER bit anyone...he is the sweetest thing. She also mentioned that she is 50 yrs old and had a 10 hour day. Sounded like excuses to me. My step daughter recommended calling me since I am the one who scheduled. Sherry never gave me a call, let alone, let me know she left my house without grooming our dog. I have given her 2 full days to explain what happened and I have not heard a word. Extremely disappointed and would not recommend to anyone.

Her response to my cancellation. Chose to insult me when I never insulted her.

Avoid her like the plague. Run, don't walk away from this completely unprofessional person. I can't think of the proper way to convey how strongly I think this company should be avoided without getting my post removed for bad language. We have used them twice- both times she did well enough that my parents also used her for their dog. The experience as far as the grooming goes was ok. Not exceptional, but fine. However, she is EXTREMELY pushy with scheduling. She asked my wife if we wanted grooming every eight weeks. My wife didn't give her a solid answer, but she texted me and told me that my wife confirmed and scheduled it. I didn't like finding out she was being dishonest, but we needed the grooming so I let it be. We also told her the 8 am time she kept trying to push on us was inconvenient, but that went ignored when she kept trying to push appointments at that time on us. She initially said it was too hot to book later and in the summer, I understood that but I informed her after our august appointment, I no longer wanted 8 am time slots because we needed to get our child to school at that time. That went ignored. Fast forward about two months. She came to groom my parents dog while I was at their house. I informed her that my dog was about to pass away, and she expressed her sympathy. I appreciated it. Today, she texted me stating she would be at my house tomorrow for our appointment. I looked back in my texts and saw she she had sent a text stating the day she wanted to come. I never responded and never confirmed. Silly me, being distracted with my dying dog. How inconsiderate of me. I informed her that my dog had passed yesterday , and I was sorry for the confusion. She proceeded to 1 offer no condolences, and 2. Inform me i owed her a 50% cancellation fee because I didn't give her more than 24 hours notice. For my dead dog. I didn't give the adequate notice regarding my dog that died yesterday. My first thought in all my grief wasn't that I should cancel an appointment I never even confirmed. We do have another dog she groomed, but I assumed (I believe fairly) that I was not in the headspace to have someone come over, and my remaining dog did not need the added stress of grooming, but that didn't factor in her response at all. I told her that I wouldn't be paying the fee, and I wouldn't be paying for any further service and that I was done. Her text to me is pictured here. I think it speaks for itself regarding her professionalism. Please don't hire this person. She doesn't care about you and doesn't deserve your money. She might be a fine groomer but she lacks compassion and understanding. I don't want to leave a pet in the care of someone like that.

So cute!!

The best experience ever! I have a 19 week old Bishon Frisée puppy. I texted to get an appointment, got one within a reasonable amount of time, then got a text that she had an opening sooner due to a cancellation - which worked out for me. This was my puppies first grooming, Sherry, the owner listened to what I wanted, took a few minutes to get to know Fluffy then off they went to the truck. I was nervous as this was Fluffy's first professional grooming but Sherry made me feel comfortable and reassured. About an hour later she brought her back to the house and I was absolutely amazed at the transformation; she was so adorable!! And I think Fluffy knew it too! This puppy was happy, not stressed out and strutting her self around like she knew she looked amazing!! I'm happily going to use her ongoing.

Grooming was fine, I was just disappointed in the interaction I had with Sherry. After the grooming, I noticed my dog had a red scratch/cut in his inner thigh. He always gets belly rubs from me and this wasn't there before (I would have noticed). I do understand that dogs get jumpy and little scratches may happen in grooming. The actual red spot didn't bother me, I was more curious if he was jumpy. Sherry texted me back and said it (the blurry pic I sent bc he wouldn't let me get close to it) was a skin irritation. I was fine, it wasn't a big deal until she called me and sounded pissed off that I would even ask. She accused me of accusing they cut him. To accuse I'd have to make a statement like "you cut my dog". I only asked if he'd gotten cut knowing that it is possible if dogs are nervous, not to the fault of the groomers at all. She kept saying I was making such a small thing into a big thing, that I was concerned about something that dogs can get anywhere...that he could have gotten it from anything...she went to explain the blades they used, etc. Mind you, I was not accusing nor was concern, I just wanted to know if the mark came when he was being groomed. And if it didn't, I was fine. If it did bc he was going nuts, I'd like to know...just more information about my dog. To listen to her get increasingly defensive and insinuate that I was making this into a big deal, that it's normal for dogs to have scratches...well, that's not professional. Plus, my dog is a chicken and stays indoor. He actually doesn't have scratches unless the couch is too rough. When I told her I was not accusing, she said that because I asked the question meant I thought it. So I guess you can't ask questions. Again, I was fine with the first answer that it was skin irritation and would have left it at that. To call me and accuse me of making it into a big deal and accusing me of accusing them...that's what I'm not cool with. I told her I just had a question. She said, (with attitude), that I now have my answer. Just not professional when speaking with a client. *In response to Sherry...she was off that day. So, no she didn't give him his cut. Two other people did. She wasn't even there. She did tell me that it was her day off and she now has to "handle the problem". My question was a problem apparently. And the "cut" wasn't on his belly, he actually doesn't have much fur on his belly (pinkish, so you'd be able to see everything). And no, it wasn't on there before because he gets lots of belly rubs and I would have seen it since he got one right before. The "cut" wasn't the problem, it was the owners response. You do not call a client, practically yelling (I even told her she sounded pissed) when asking a legitimate question. I didn't appreciate being scolded for asking said question, one that I was fine with the answer from the initial text. Nor did I appreciate being told my dog could have gotten something before when I know it wasn't there before or having to hear a myriad of possibilities (none of which my dog did) to justify a possible "skin irritation". Yes, the initial picture was blurrier compared to this one, but I'd gladly hold him down for a better picture if she'd ask so she can make a better judgement before denying the possibility of anything being wrong. Again, I was fine with the initial answer. The nature of the call was the problem- practically yelling, insisting nothing could have happened (even though she wasn't there), taking offense to a question to the point that a customer shouldn't ask anything, making it a bigger deal than initially (I told her she was making a bigger deal than it was), and reminding a customer that she was ruining her day off bc now she has to handle the "problem".

Really outstanding groomer!! Very happy with the professionalism, speedy correspondence, and skilled craftsmanship of Sherry and her crew. They were able to fit me in for an appointment with short notice, and did a great job with my dog. My experience has left me with an excellent impression. Will definitely be having these folks take care of my dogs from now on. Very affordable (on par or better than other brick & mortar groomers). They did everything perfectly: hair, nails, ears, anal glands, etc. my boy Mac looked more youthful and happy than ever before. Thanks a ton Sherry and Poochies Grooming crew!

If I could give a negative review I absolutely would!! My husband and I are still shocked by how we were treated. I was quoted a price for GROOMING, see pic for conversation, but was then told by the girl who was sent, Amber, that she is there only to bathe and trim, "I don't clip" (nice girl btw, not her fault!). By the time I found this out it was too late so I offered to pay for that dog but not the other. To be nice, I offered to pay for a nail trim on my other dog. I could have just as easily pulled both dogs bc this wasn't the service we agreed on, but I wanted to be understanding. Something this owner obviously isn't because shortly after, Amber was sent to our door to ask for MORE money bc the original price agreed upon was apparently dependent on two dogs not one. How petty, how tacky, how embarrassing! You give me less service and charge me more after we've settled pay and walked back to our home?! You fraud! UNBELIEVABLE! As frustrated as I was I wasn't even going to review this bc ... things happen, but the second she came to my door asking for more money it was inevitable! I thought maybe she was apologizing on the owner's behalf for the miscommunication as a sign of good faith, taking the high road and accepting blame for not clarifying her simplistic definition of grooming, or at the very least explaining their side of the story. Nope. They charged us the price of a Petco/PetSmart groom, didn't provide the service I asked for, then charged me 10 dollars more... after pay was settled and we were back home!!!! SERIOUSLY?! I am now $50 dollars down and my dogs are still hot from their thick hair. I have to pay another $80 to have Petco finish what they barely started. But hey, even though I just did it the day before ... at least they're bathed.

Avoid this mobile dog grooming at all costs. The groomer injured my dog ears badly. Did a horrible job all around.

I rescued two severly neglected chained up dogs in a junkyard in South LA. They were young dogs but had never had baths. Attempting to give them a bath at home was a nightmare. I spoke with the managers who GENEROUSLY loaned me use of their grooming station after hearing their story. The whole store was EXTREMELY KIND AND COMPASSIONATE about these 2 poor souls and the hard life they lived. THEY REALLY CARE ABOUT ANIMALS AND THEIR WELFARE HERE. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The facility is large, clean and beautiful. One beautiful employee named Elk went above and beyond by coming to help me bath the male when she had some free time. He turned out to be beyond terrified of the water hosea and blowers and it would have been IMPOSSIBLE to bathe him without her voluntary help. I can't thank her enough. Such an amazing , bright, kind aoul! I cannot thank them enough for helping these two unfortunate dogs and helping to give them a better life for once. It would be impossible to get them adopted without baths. The male was so impacted with grease, old clumps hairs, and dirt that he was always hot and panting. He is now breathing normally and his fur is not like woolens dirty clumps. Everyone here cares. They're professional and corteous and helpful. It's not impersonal like big chain stores like petco. I have dogs with heavy coats who need specialty groomers that truly know what they're doing. On my last visit, the price for my 70/80-Ib dog jumped from $150 to a little over $400. Not only did the price keep increasing before I even picked him up, but the grooming itself wasn't done well. I tracked down my old groomer afterward, and she told me his nails were still long, he had a large matted knot behind his ear, and the nail on his heel was curled. So the job wasn't just overpriced it was poorly done. I've had great groomers here in the past. They use quality shampoo, the facility is clean, and everyone is nice.
