Everyone was so nice and understanding of my dog's needs. He's a very large, dog selective old man and Woofpak didn't even bat an eye when I explained his mannerisms and behavior concerns. The staff is well equipped to handle any size dog and accommodate their needs and comfort level to the best of their abilities and really treat your pet as if they were their own. My dog was a stinky boy and desperately needed a groom, and a little over an hour later, he came back to me bright eyed, bushy tailed, smelling and feeling amazing! The staff showed us some amazing progress photos during his groom and gave us a report of how he did. Lucky for us he was an angel for them and they loved working with him. The shop itself is also wonderful. So many options for fresh food, treats and chews available. If you need a special occasion cookie they have those in their bakery case. A self serve and fill treat bar is also in the back of the store and has some amazing treats to pick out for you pup as well. We filled a medium jar of mix and match treats for my dog and he was so eager to start snacking on them asap. 10/10 recommend coming here for all your pet needs!

If you need to make any modifications to your meal (i.e. exclude mashed potatoes for extra veggies), all you need to do is provide dietary needs in a field on the Google form, and if there are any questions, you can handle everything through text. There are checkboxes on the Google form for keto and paleo options. For the convenience of food prep and to support locally, I've been happy with Viva Foods. I had to call the support and they assured me that the driver would come back and swap them out, a bad start to my experience. Following that, when I finally got the food I was very disappointed. The food looks nothing like the photos, and not only that but it is extremely bland, but not only that, all of the lean protein I ordered was extremely dry, as once I reheated it it seemed like it was cooked too much. To give them the credit though, the pork wasn't dry, however that's not saying much given its easy to keep that from being dry. I've tried multiple competitors in regards to meal prep and this is the most expensive meal prep company I've ever tried, but it's considerably worse than the others in San Diego.

This being my first order, Nyawal gave me a free sample of Jollof Rice with Beef Cabbage and Kop with Spinach in addition to my order of Beef Sombosas and Mein with Molokhia Chicken Stew. Every dish was extremely distinct yet amazingly delicious. Mein with Molokhia Chicken Stew | This dish definitely looks the most intimidating, but I have a love for stews and mashed potato like foods. The Mein (the potato looking starch under the stew) is a flavor sponge. The best way I can describe it would be sort of like thick grits but fluffy like mashed potatoes. The chicken is white meat but extremely moist and well cooked. The overall flavors are mild yet definitive and warm. You can really taste the experience and care the went into creating it and I would imagine that many Sudanese families eat something like this often on their dinner tables. If you're not into squishy textures this may not be for you, however, I think it is worth a try and is definitely top of its class. Sombosas | These were utterly outstanding and some of the best deep-fried foods I have ever tried. The skin is not too thick or too oily. The filling is strongly flavored with turmeric and has a great ratio of meat to vegetable. The sombosas are definitely more aggressive in flavor than the mein with molokhia stew and is a great flavor enhancer between bites. Jollof Rice with Beef Cabbage | This dish was mild, sweet, delicately spiced, and truly highlighted the flavors of beef and cabbage. If you are into cabbage rolls or even borscht, this is a dish that resonates in the same way but with Sundanese flare. The rice was beautifully yellow and perfectly al dente, giving the beef cabbage the perfect bed to rest on. Kop with Spinach | I've never had Kop, but it is very similar to couscous. I've only had the very small couscous or Israeli couscous which is huge, but Kop is instead irregular in shape and size creating a very interesting mouthfeel and texture. It gives me the same vibe as Dippin' Dots in the best way possible. This was only dish that was acidic and it was wonderfully bright while retaining the warm delicious flavors found in the rest of the foods. In this review I have used language as if I was an expert of the cuisine, but this was my first time experiencing it. The quality and execution of the food was so good I have no doubt in my mind that this must be some of the best you can get. The flavors of all the dishes are so well thought out and lovingly crafted and chef Nyawal uses typically pungent spices to create a harmoniously delicious symphony of flavors.
