Overall, we had a beautiful wedding at this venue. The venue itself is gorgeous, and both the…read moreceremony and reception spaces turned out wonderfully. The food was great and the kitchen worked with our dietary needs which was a huge plus. We also had a last-minute change to our rehearsal dinner plans, and the venue was able to accommodate us without too much issue. Unfortunately, our experience with the venue coordinator was much more frustrating. Communication often felt disorganized, with the same questions being asked multiple times and messages coming through at all hours--including twice when we received messages around 3:30 a.m. At times, our requests also seemed to be treated somewhat flippantly rather than with the level of attention and professionalism we expected for our wedding. There were also comments and behaviors that felt particularly unprofessional. During our initial meeting, the coordinator told us that he would do his best to help us save money along the way, but also shared that he tends to hold grudges if couples are rude or difficult. At the time, we didn't think much of the comment. However, as the planning process progressed, we found ourselves becoming increasingly hesitant to voice concerns or push back on things because we were genuinely worried that doing so could negatively impact our experience. No couple should feel like they need to carefully choose their words or avoid raising legitimate concerns out of fear of retaliation from their coordinator. A major concern was how many details seemed to come together at the very last minute. From altered table layout in the reception room to not getting straight answers on things like cocktail pricing, there were more last-minute headaches than I would've expected. Ultimately, it felt like there were overpromises and underdeliveries throughout the planning process. The venue itself and many of the staff were wonderful, but the coordination made the experience significantly more stressful than it needed to be. There were far too many instances where things felt rushed, unclear, or left until the very last second, leaving us feeling like our wedding wasn't a priority until the day was essentially upon us. I would absolutely recommend the venue based on its beauty and the experience we had with much of the staff, but I would strongly encourage future couples to get everything in writing, confirm pricing well in advance, clearly document the final room setup, and stay on top of the details themselves. The venue has a lot going for it, but the coordination experience unfortunately took away from what should have been a much more seamless and enjoyable planning process. We were promised a "dedicated wedding coordinator" and were disappointed.

They shot both my engagement photos and wedding, and both sessions were INCREDIBLE! I appreciate that Charlene and Mike were open to an unconventional engagement shoot at a small amusement park, where their keen eyes perfectly caught natural, joyfully moments between my fiancé and me. The photos were a huge hit at our wedding, as Charlene and Mike included them in a lovely guest book for our guests to sign and enjoy. Our wedding pictures were also gorgeous, effortlessly capturing my husband's and my relationship and spirits. As a bonus, their photo booth at our wedding, including a variety of props, was a show stopper. Our guests LOVED the unlimited access they had to the booth and were elated to have printed photos to take home as favors from the event. An additional, delicious surprise was that Charlene and Mike emailed photo booth snaps to guests, which many guests joyfully shared on Facebook-- and what bride doesn't love reading faraway friends' raving posts about her hair and dress?! ;) In all seriousness, though, I was so grateful that Charlene and Mike gave us a way to share the fun of our day with our beloved friends and family who couldn't make the wedding. Our parents were equally touched by the beautiful printed photos that Charlene and Mike hand delivered to them at the reception, which they took earlier during my husband's and my outdoor photo shoot. Quite simply, the photos were stunning. I was an out-of-town bride who interviewed a number of good photographers before choosing these exceptional professionals because of their gorgeous, creative work and fantastic personalities. And working with them was even better than I could have imagined. If you are considering Artistic Visions to photograph your event, don't hesitate: Charlene and Mike are a singular, amazing pair who will perfectly capture you and your day!

First in a series of yelp reviews related to my wedding in Appleton this July…read more... Bill Kapinski handled the photography for both me and my sisters wedding, a few years apart. He did an OUTSTANDING job with the photos... and his calm, relaxed attitude throughout the entire process really helped make me feel at ease. His pricing was very competitive, and he worked with me to stay longer during the wedding in exchange for not having the engagement session (which we didn't want due the fact that we were coming from out of town for the wedding). After the event, he was very helpful with a few touchups and photoshop requests that we had. Great communication via both email and phone. I can't say enough wonderful things about Bill and his work. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend!
