First was the call with Rick who booked and estimate with me right away and was right on time which is always excellent in my book and a good sign of how they do business. Although our job was probably not as nearly complicated as some of the other work they probably get, Rick was extremely professional in assessing the nature of the job and the quote we received was beyond reasonable. For about 180 dollars we go our outdoor automatic light fixed and they were even nice enough to include some free LED bulbs for us and the two guys that Rick had sent over were quick but most important thorough with the job. These two young men installed two overhead fixtures and brought electricity to our new outbuilding. This involved trenching and careful moving of rugs and furniture that we had previously added to the site. Further, they helped diagnose a confusing outdoor lighting arrangement that had us mystified since we moved into our house five years ago. They seemed eager to surmount obstacles and did not shy away from digging into wet earth to get the job done. My husband and I were so pleased with their competence and positive attitude that we called the owners to commend them. We are Hantsch customers for life.

I was shocked (no pun intended) when I called the office at 07:45 in the morning and a very nice lady answered (owners wife?) . After assessing the situation and finding it was a problem at the electric panel which he was not licensed to touch he called the office to have a licensed electrician sent out. A few days later a young man named Alex arrived, also on time! Took him a few hours to find the problem but his persistence and ingenuity paid off!! A few companies responded. One company was booked until September while another company declined. A third company was able to show up the same day to measure and provide an estimate. MacVane Electrical was the fourth company to reply but was the quickest to provide an estimate after I texted pictures of the circuit boxes as well as an approximate distance. I was hesitant due to lack of online reviews. Phil (Sr.) quickly responded in the same evening with an estimate as well as a commitment to show up the next day to do the work. Phil (Jr) arrived the next day (Tuesday) as promised along with Ray, and both got the work done in about 2 hours. Both are super nice guys. Turns out Phil and his father started the company just 6 months ago, hence there are few to no reviews online. They are friendly, clean, and thoroughly explained the work that needed to be done. Phil Jr was so thorough that after he finished and left, he called the sauna company to verify the type of plug the sauna required. He then came back an hour or so later to replace the receptacle to the correct type. I highly recommend MacVane Electrical Services for your residential needs and will be using Phil and his company in the future.
