I was visiting the "Fränkische Stuben" - the "normal" Restaurant with my family. The Kitchen served frankonian Roast Pork Shoulder with Potato Dumplings in a dark gravy. We had a dark beer and the evening was nice. The food was excellent and we had a really good time. The waiter was always at hand, when we needed something and utmost friendly. Some time ago I had the same good and positive experience in the Gourmet Restaurant the other side of the building - operated by the same kitchen. It is always an experience. Polster has an excellent cooking team and even that he has lost his Michelin Star several years ago, the quality is on a very, very high level. I love going there and have a nice relaxed meal with good friends - even that it might be a little bit more expensive, but hey - it´s really worth the money. I ordered a schnitzel plate that was cooked to tender perfection and laid alongside a heaping pile of German potato salad. Before the meal I got a salad and for dessert one of the best apple strudels I've ever had. With ice cream, a cream sauce and apple slices adorning it I found room in my already happily full belly to stuff this treat down. Staff was helpful, the restaurant was clean and decorated nicely. There's a bar area but the place was not loud or raucous. Our server was kind enough to help us in English and for that especially I'm most appreciative!
