There are over a dozen interesting hotdog combinations, all named for notable gangster figures. My dining companion ordered the G- Man, which included Chorizo (cowboy) dip, cheddar cheese, diced jalapenos, and Fritos. Even a week later, my dining companion would like another one!!! I wanted to try the chili on a dog but can you believe it even at 11:45 they were already sold out of chili! I kept it plain and ordered the OG with red onion and ordered a side of macaroni and cheese. Normally, I don't like macaroni and cheese with liquid cheese sauce, but this was the first time I've had a cheese sauce that was thick enough that it didn't fall off the individual macaroni pieces. It was totally delicious and I will absolutely or the macaroni and cheese again! There are a few small tables outside Dirty Gangster Dogs. But the owner invited us to sit at one of the dining tables in the Main Street Bistro adjacent to Dirty Gangster Dogs. They recently opened a second location in Historic Ellicott City. We will visit Dirty Gangster Dogs again!

They have ample seating and restrooms and the staff at Southside Burger were really friendly. The wings were fine, but I really loved the onion rings and the simple cheeseburger. Everything is plastic and paper plates all disposable because it's a food hall so it's a very casual, as you go environment I was surprised to see so many families. Please avoid supporting larger chains and support local this year, I would definitely come back for a burger and onion rings! It's hard to find good onion rings! Cross Street is one of my favorite markets in the city (probably behind Lexington), and I randomly stopped at Southside not really knowing what food I had a taste for. I ordered a double cheeseburger (customized my way), and fries, and my total was about $15. I think that's fairly average these days, on top... it was actually good. Like there was a ACTUAL cheese pull when you bit into the burger. It was HOT and fresh when I took the wrapper off my burger; just overall, gave an actual grill taste. As other reviews stated, the business provides plastic, paper, and overall disposable utensils and plates and when I'm back at Cross Street, I know exactly where I'm going to get a burger, a beer - and probably some onion rings now, now that I know they're a fan favorite!

I used to go to them back in the old market days, and I swear their chili has gotten even better. Their chili dogs are so good that I will get in my car in Glen Burnie and drive all the way to Baltimore just to get one. Yes, JUST for a chili dog! And they have yet to disappoint me. My order is chili, mustard, onions, sauerkraut, and sometimes jalapeños when I want a little extra kick. And please cook that hot dog WELL DONE! I like mine with a little color on it -- don't hand me no pale hot dog! They get it right every time. I'm up there at least twice a week getting my fix. At this point, they probably ought to know my order when they see me coming! If you're looking for a good old-school Baltimore-style chili dog that's worth making the trip for, Sausage Master is definitely one of my spots. The chili dog completely surpassed what I was craving. The hot dog was fresh, hot, and delicious, and the chili was absolutely on point. They even had a larger hot dog option, but I knew there was no way I could finish that one! It's always nice finding a small local food truck that serves food this good.
